Larkin and Owen are two of our finest poets. Removing their work from the curriculum is cultural vandalism.
Their work must be passed on to future generations - as it was to me. I will be speaking to the exam board to make this clear.

The strikes will harm the economy and cost British businesses millions of pounds. And just as importantly they will disrupt vital services, like operations on the NHS and GCSE exams. There will be no trains in or out of Dorset on the strike days. 2/
I am sitting in the Chamber of the House of Commons at the start of the debate on rail strikes. I will be supporting the motion wholeheartedly. These strikes will hit millions of families in the pocket, costing them more to get to work. 1/
My father died in June 2020 during lockdown. At that time,as a Minister, I saw first hand, including at COBR meetings, how determined Boris was to saving lives and getting our country through. His commitment was absolute and I have no hesitation in backing him today.
People do not vote for divided teams. We are strongest when we are united and focused on delivey for the British people. The PM has got the big calls right: be it on Brexit, vaccines or leading us out of the pandemic. We must get behind him & deliver on our promise to level up.
Boris won London twice (both against expectations), and then governed brilliantly.
He took us from under 10% in an election to an 80 seat majority, delivered Brexit, vaccine roll-out, support for Ukraine, extra cops, docs, nurses etc etc.
I’m not going to go flaky on him now.
Under @BorisJohnson we won an 80-seat majority in 2019. We need to use the rest of this Parliament to deliver for the country we were elected to serve, not turn inwards.
