Thank you to all who gathered tonight to remember my father, 34 yrs since his murder.

The support my family has received never goes unnoticed & we are very grateful to every one of you.

Like so many families we still fight for truth & fight for justice.

Love & miss him always.

This Sunday marks the 34th anniversary of the murder of my father.

A special thanks to @RelsForJustice for organising a vigil in his memory.

Details below for those wishing to attend.

The Protocol has been declared lawful by the High Court, Court of Appeal & Supreme Court.

Every argument to say otherwise has been completely dismissed.

The excuses need to stop now.

It’s time to restore the Executive, help workers & families & begin to fix our health service.

We gathered at Westminster today to remember the victims of Bloody Sunday, 51 years after their murders & to show our opposition to the Tory Amnesty Bill.

This Bill is cruel & callous & has no support from victims & families.

The British Govt need to listen. It must be stopped.

It is bizarre that the leader of Sinn Féin, the largest political party, has been excluded from today's meeting by the British Govt.

There is no time to waste. People are crying out for political leadership & the Executive’s restoration

It's time for inclusive & mature politics

Today we achieved yet another legal victory against the British govt concerning the murder of my father.

They have covered up, they have failed to investigate, they have acted unlawfully & it is clear to us they do this solely to hide the truth.

It is time for a public inquiry!

For months we were told an energy payment would be made by November.

It hasn’t happened.

This money would’ve been paid, & already in people’s pockets, if the DUP had ended their refusal to join with the rest of us in an Executive.

The DUP is punishing the public.

The people of Palestine have a special relationship with the people of Ireland.

Today marks International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

We stand in solidarity with them today & always 🇵🇸

The determination & dignity of the McAnespie family throughout their years of campaigning for justice has been inspirational to many families, particularly my own.

My thoughts are with them all today.

I was proud to speak today at Belfast City Hall in support of Fiona Donohoe’s demands for truth & justice for Noah.

We need, & we demand, that justice is done for Fiona & her family.

The decision of the British Secretary of State to approve a PII certificate to hide information relating to Noah Donohoe’s death is deeply concerning & shameful.

We will continue to stand with Fiona Donohoe & her family in their campaign for truth & justice.

It is time for real change.

It's time to get the Executive up & running to put money in people's pockets, invest in our health service & build a better future for everyone.

As the son of an east Belfast mother from a middle-class unionist area & a west Belfast father from a nationalist working-class area, I am delighted that the integrated education bill has passed.

This is a positive step forward for society.

Well done to all who voted in favour!

Remembering my dad today as we mark 33yrs since he was killed.

Like so many other families we still fight for truth & fight for justice. We’re never giving up.

Love & miss him always.

British Government security forces colluded with state-sponsored loyalist gangs on an organised, systemic basis to carry out a state murder policy in Ireland.

Their efforts to bring in an amnesty for state forces now is a blatant, outrageous attempt to cover up state murder.

1/3
The odious & disgraceful remarks by Kate Hoey should be withdrawn.

The present reality is that a new generation of nationalists have been educated & are taking up their rightful place in every professional discipline on the basis of merit & equality.

Public Interest Immunity certificates are usually sought by British intelligence or police seeking to withhold evidence they consider would be damaging to public interest.

Fiona Donohoe deserves transparency & answers, not secrecy & coverup.

This is a disgraceful comment by a DUP MP which misrepresents how & why prosecutions are taken. It’s called due process & nobody is above the law, even ex British veterans.

It should be withdrawn immediately & in future some thought should be given to JP Cunningham & his family.

Police have now confirmed a murder investigation into tonight’s tragic incident in Ardoyne with one person arrested.

Our thoughts are with all those involved.

I again appeal to everyone to be mindful & not to post or share anything which would add further distress.

It doesn’t matter who you are or where you come from.

The British Govt has decided that, if you are a victim, they will deny you any possibility of truth & any chance of justice.

They do not care about your suffering.

They care only about themselves.

Today the British Government made it clear that victims don’t matter to them.

They have cruelly decided to cover up their conflict role in Ireland forever.

As always, Britain’s interests come before everything else. They care nothing for victims or for truth & justice.

Today’s revelations once again raise serious concerns about the investigation into Noah’s death.

The PSNI must immediately investigate & provide the answers Fiona Donohoe & her family deserve.

Last night the British Govt agreed to legislate for an Irish Language Act.

The cycle of DUP obstruction of rights has been broken.

Acht na Gaeilge will be legislated for in October & Commissioners appointed by March.

Today @moneillsf will be nominated as Deputy First Minister.

INNOCENT!

For 50 years they never gave up.

Today the Ballymurphy families heard what they always knew - Their loved ones, murdered by the British state, were entirely innocent.

Today the truth won.

#BallymurphyMassacre

The revelation that the British Govt intend to legislate so that British Army & RUC killers of citizens here cannot be prosecuted shows that the lives of victims & their families mean nothing to the British Govt.

It is an outright attack on the justice system & the rule of law.

The Council of Europe has reopened the investigation into my father’s killing.

This is a hugely significant move.

The British govt have been criticised internationally for their failure to establish an inquiry & this level of scrutiny is vital to ensure truth can finally emerge

The DUP, Tories & loyalist crime gangs are engaged in an anti-democratic campaign against popular opinion, against international law, & against the Good Friday Agreement.

The GFA has been transformational for Ireland & our peace process. It must always be protected.

The DUP today gave cover to armed gangs who are involved in serious crimes including murder & extortion, & who have recently been making threats of violence.

The DUP should instead be making it clear to the UVF & UDA that they have no place in society or in our communities.

Solicitor Niall Murphy has issued an appeal to businesses from bottom of Royal Avenue at North Street to the Belfast Telegraph building to retain their CCTV from the night Noah Donohoe went missing & bring forward to police immediately.

Please help Fiona Donohoe find the truth.

Perhaps if the PSNI stopped preventing & thwarting an effective investigation into the Ormeau Road bookies massacre that might be a start.

What has Francie Molloy been up to today?

Francie Molloy is MP for Mid Ulster and a member of the Sinn Fein party.

Francie Molloy has 9572 followers on Twitter.

I will not be seeking re-selection for the next election.

Representing Sinn Féin and the people of Mid Ulster for the past 39 years has been the greatest honour of my life.

I pass on the baton to a new generation with confidence.

It’s been a long road, but we’re almost there.

52 years ago, Britain murdered 14 innocent men in Derry. Bloody Sunday will become a tombstone for British policy in Ireland. RIP

My name is Francie Molloy and I’m an MP in Ireland.

I’m appalled by the silence regarding the war crimes committed by the Israeli government.

I, and many with me, demand a ceasefire, open humanitarian corridors.

Facilitate for water, food and medicine to Gaza now!

Michael Collins died on the 22nd August 1922. RIP

"Give us the future, we've had enough of your past. Give us back our country, to live in, to grow in, to love."

Our National Flag flying proudly in memory of Martin Hurson on top of Sawel, highest mountain in Sperrins. Died on Hunger Strike 42 years ago today. RIP

Bobby Sands MP died on Hunger Strike 42 years ago today. RIP

"The day will dawn when all the people of Ireland will have the desire for freedom to show. It is then we’ll see the rising of the moon."

"I am standing on the threshold of another trembling world. May God have mercy on my soul."

- Bobby Sands writing on this day 1981 as he begins his Hunger Strike. RIP

Israel has murdered 10 Palestinians today in Nablus. RIP

The beginning of 2023 is the bloodiest in the West Bank since 2000 with 61 Palestinians murdered, including 13 children.

The world can no longer stand idly by. The international community, the UN and Ireland must act.

Nelson Mandela walked free from prison on this day 1990.

"I was called a terrorist, but when I came out of jail, many people embraced me, including my enemies, and that is what I tell other people who say those who are struggling for liberation in their country are terrorists."

51 years ago, Britain murdered 14 innocent men in Derry. Bloody Sunday will become a tombstone for British policy in Ireland. RIP

ON THIS DAY 1980 Giuseppe Conlon died in a British prison an innocent man. RIP

He died 5 years into a 12 year sentence handed down for something he didn’t do.

“Being Irish means they’re guilty, so we’re guilty one and all.”

104 years ago today, Sinn Féin MPs having secured 73 out of 105 Irish seats, break the connection with Britain and establish the First Dáil.

Up the Republic!

British Government should have learnt long ago that excluding those elected by the Nationalist and Republican community won’t work.

We are an All Ireland Party and Mary Lou is our leader.

Our National Flag proudly drapes the coffin of Seán South who ‘fell beneath a northern sky, brave O’Hanlon by his side’ 66 years ago today. RIP

104 years ago today, Sinn Féin MPs secure 73 out of 105 Irish seats, break the connection with Britain and establish the First Dáil.

Up the Republic!

An Israeli sniper murdered a 15 year old Palestinian girl, Janah Majdi Zakarneh last night while she sat on the roof of her home. RIP

Over 200 Palestinians killed this year, including more than 30 children.

Where is the global condemnation?

Israel has murdered 208 Palestinians this year, including 30 children.

Where is the international action in support of Palestine?

Be assured, a Sinn Fein-led government will change Irish state policy on Palestine.

We will always stand with Palestine.

Sinn Féin was founded on this day 1905.

We are the largest party in Ireland today, every single one of Ireland's 32 counties is represented by an elected Sinn Féin representative.

Unity has never been closer.

“You say it was an accident or even a ricochet,
But like Loughgall and Gibraltar you're lies are well renowned,
You murdered Aidan McAnespie on his way to the Gaelic ground.”

Britain murdered 14 people including Tipperary player Michael Hogan at a GAA match in Croke Park 102 years ago today. RIP

“And you dare to call me a terrorist?”

Terence MacSwiney, Sinn Féin Mayor of Cork died after 74 days on Hunger Strike 102 years ago today in Brixton Prison. RIP

"It's not those who inflict the most, but those that endure the most, that shall win."

In 1847, worst year of An Gorta Mór, Indians of the Choctaw nation raised $170 for Irish relief.

A huge sum at the time worth thousands today.

Irish people never forgot and in 2020 donated €2.5million to a Native American tribe devastated by Covid.

#IndigenousPeoplesDay

The word 'Tory' used to describe a member of Conservatives is derived from Irish 'tóraidhe' meaning outlaw or plunderer of stolen cash. Spot on.

We are living in the final days of partition.

A united Ireland referendum is now inevitable, change is coming and the preparations must begin.

I'm attending 2 funerals today of parents who lost a son through state murder & collusion.

John McAnespie father of Aidan murdered by British Crown forces & Peggy McGeown mother of Alphonsus murdered by loyalists in collusion with RUC.

Neither families got truth or justice. RIP

Building a Better Future Together - this Tuesday I will be in conversation with my friend @KarenSethuraman as she discuss her life journey so far and her hopes for the future. Join us at Gulladuff , Co. Derry 👇🏼

Busy day campaigning for @aosnodaigh People want change. @sinnfeinireland want to deliver that change in housing, healthcare, community safety & Irish Unity.

Great day spent in Dublin, alongside Aengus Ó Snodaigh, listening to the very real issues ordinary people are facing.

Sinn Féin will deal with housing, health, with childcare, and with the rising cost of living.

We have the plans, we have the team, we are ready to lead.

It was wonderful to welcome guests of the @BelfastHome to Áras Uí Chonghaile today for a Community Reception 👏🏼

Great to showcase the work we do in preserving and promoting the life, politics and legacy of James Connolly.

Enjoy the rest of your time in Belfast folks 🙌🏼

🏠 Last night Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil voted down Sinn Féin’s fully costed proposals to make housing affordable!

Soon, people will have the opportunity to choose between five more years of government failure on housing, or a Sinn Féin government, with a plan to bring home…

All, @guidedogsni are looking more puppy raisers in your areas…..grateful for a wee push please.

I am committed to seizing the enormous opportunities ahead of us to create more well-paid jobs, attract new investment, and support our local businesses to thrive.

Today, I had the pleasure of meeting and speaking with hundreds of local businesses at the CBI event in Belfast…

It’s time for Simon Harris to give the people clarity on when they will have their day and say.

Whatever the date, this election presents you with a clear choice.

A choice between Fine Gael and Fianna Fáil’s repeated failures in housing, health, childcare, the cost of living…

Many thanks to John Mallon (@jmallon16) for taking the time to tell me the story behind his Beauty On Our Doorstep 2025 calendar - his eighth.

Remembering Volunteers Brendan Quinn and Eddie Grant who died in a premature explosion on this day 24th December, Christmas Eve 1973

Ar dheis Dé go raibh a n-anam

Recall Martin McGuinness saying that we have to turn our setbacks into comebacks. SF entered this election on back foot & the establishment threw everything at us. Still some way to go - but cannot discount the historic gains made.

The road is long but the journey makes us wise.

Today is a victory for the Finucane family. Their dedication, commitment, and doggedness achieved this. They should not have had to fight for today. They persisted - and the truth will out.

“If you don't defend human rights lawyers who will defend human rights?”- Rosemary Nelson

48 yrs ago tomorrow 14th Aug at 1.10 pm.Michael Williams 3Para murdered Majella OHare. He with connivence from members of his patrol lied about the circumstances of Majella’s killing & so escaped any form of reprimand. The OHare family have suffered indescribable pain since then.

I think too, of all the neighbours who were in close proximity & were affected by the violent attack on Majella, who was only 12 yrs old, what could she have become?
Particularly Alice, Colleen & Seamus their suffering goes on🙏

Today I submitted my nomination papers to stand as the Sinn Féin candidate for Newry & Armagh.

By voting for Sinn Féin you are endorsing strong leadership, positive change, and a commitment to work for all.

On 4th July vótáil Sinn Féin ❌
Vótáil Dáire Hughes ❌

As of today, I am no longer an MP, marking the end of an era.

I want to extend my heartfelt gratitude to all my colleagues, staff and supporters who have stood by me since my first election in 2007, both as an MLA and an MP.

Onwards to the Republic 🇮🇪

On the occasion of the Trade Northern Ireland Reception at @HouseofCommons, Cuban ambassador @IsmaraWalter met with Sinn Féin MPs @ChrisHazzardSF and @MickeyBradySF.

Recent events have shown that Israel is not interested in a peace settlement.

That is because the international community has failed to force them to do so.

That must change now before we see a further slaughter of innocent Palestinians.

Glad to attend tonight’s @TLICN Reception in Westminster. The construction industry is an important part of our Irish diaspora story. Good to see it thriving. 🚧🦺🏗️🇮🇪

Productive meeting with @SteveBakerFRSA. Raised the plight of the local Mushroom Industry in the North. The sector is at risk of disappearing if urgent action is not taken. A streamlined route to labour via a visa, for longer than current 6 months provided, is desperately needed.

Lá breithe sona Maisie Moley

“May God bless you Maisie on this milestone 100th birthday & continue to bless you with good health, happiness, and many more years of life. We thank you & the family for your warm welcome & great friendship throughout the years”
@conormurphysf

Maith sibh @crossrangers for organising today’s Autism Awarness Coffee Morning in support of GAA4All and YouthClub4All - a great spread & great cause!

Today marks seven years since the passing of my close friend, Martin McGuinness.

His important work of peace & reconciliation & uniting the two traditions on this island, & forging new relationships between our islands goes on as we continue to journey beyond old limits.

Rose Dugdale was a modern Markievicz. A woman who rejected a life of relative ease & comfort, & instead dedicated herself to a life of struggle for the oppressed & downtrodden. There’s no doubting that her like won’t be seen again. But her memory will endure as an inspiration.

Attended briefing today with @MickeyBradySF on potential treatments for Motor Neurone Disease (MND) and the challenges faced by people living with MND when accessing medicines.

Sad passing of Charlie Bird is a timely reminder of just how cruel MND can be. More support is needed.

"I am standing on the threshold of another trembling world. May God have mercy on my soul."

Today @trevorbirney @BarryBelfast70 go to court in London to finally uncover the full extent of police surveillance used against us as journalists. Every reporter in UK&Ireland now needs to ask if they too were illegally targeted by police #JournalismIsNotACrime

Attended the protest for Julian Assange outside the Courts of Justice this morning.

There is something wrong with any society that tries to shut down or punish a man for exposing war crimes.

A lifetime dedicated to improving the lives of others, especially the most vulnerable in society. A true champion of the people, who I am immensely proud to call my comrade and friend. @MickeyBradySF leaves a lasting legacy and will be a huge loss to elected politics 💚

Honoured to meet with @MuntherIsaac and Ambassador @hzomlot. Powerful to hear first hand what is happening in Bethlehem.

Israel only has to close 2 check points and Bethlehem could become another Gaza. It is completely besieged. Settler violence must stop.

We need #CeasefireNow

Best of luck to my good friend Mickey, an exemplary representative, and another of the civil rights generation.

Although he steps away from frontline politics, he’ll not be far away.

Republicans never retire.

A life spent in the service of others, is a life well lived.

Ireland should increase funding to UNRWA.

The people of Gaza cannot be subjected to collective punishment by either the Israeli state and or the International community.

Yesterday marked the retirement of republican trailblazer Alex Maskey.

The first Sinn Féin Belfast City councillor & republican Mayor, a dedicated lifelong activist, a formidable representative for south & west Belfast & a benevolent Speaker of the Assembly.

I wish him & Liz…
