Delighted that @gymnastics have revised their decision which allows our local gymnasts, Rhys, Eamon & Ewan to compete at the commonwealth games this summer. This is a great day for our athletes 👏🏻

A week of engagements in Washington DC concluded today as we met with @SenatorLeahy & officials of @StateDept.

A very worthwhile & timely visit reiterating the importance of adhering to international law & agreements & protecting our Good Friday Agreement.

Engagements on Capitol Hill continue as I met with @RepBrendanBoyle, @RichieNeal & @HocGfa.

Unilateral actions by the British govt have no support.

US efforts remain focused on helping to restore our Assembly & protect the Good Friday Agreement.

This afternoon I met with Senate Majority Leader @SenSchumer

He made his unequivocal support for the Good Friday Agreement clear, importance of respecting & honouring international agreements & expressed strong criticism of British govt legacy legislation

His support is welcome

Excellent meetings with @RepBowman & @RepMcGovern this morning

We discussed the opposition to the British govt legacy proposals & the importance of adhering to international law & international agreements

Protection of the GFA remains paramount for US political representatives

Yesterday I had a series of mtgs with political leaders, Irish Ambassador Dan Mulhall & various civic groups.

British govt unilateral action threatens jobs, businesses & the Good Friday Agreement itself.

US support remains as strong as ever & today I continue engagement in DC.

In Washington DC this week meeting with political leaders & US govt officials, outlining the British Govt threat to the Good Friday Agreement.

British Govt actions are breaching international law & causing instability.

Continued US support for the GFA is vital at this time.

The unilateral actions of Boris Johnson are utterly reckless. It is clearly a breach of International Law. The impact on our businesses & economy could be colossal. The pro-protocol parties have jointly written to Boris Johnson today to firmly reject his legislation and approach

Progress can only be made by good faith negotiations & respect for international law. Very constructive meeting with @Keir_Starmer on the protocol. The Good Friday Agreement must be defended.

How amazing are these beautifully decorated letters & envelopes I received from @StGerardsSchool

Loved reading their views on ocean pollution & what we can do to protect our wildlife

Excellent work Patrick Ryan Colleen Kristan Mark & Conor - I’ll be writing back this weekend 😀

The building of Casement Park has taken a great step forward today.

Transforming Casement into a world-class stadium for Ulster Gaels is a priority for Sinn Féin.

This development will create jobs, attract investment and grow our economy.

It is now time to get workers on site.

Sinn Féin's @PaulMaskeyMP has welcomed a court decision which gives the green light for the redevelopment of Casement Park and hailed it as a ‘major step forward’ for Gaelic games

The club would like to thank @johnfinucane @CaralNiChuilin & @GerryKellyMLA for the meeting this afternoon. A very positive meeting regarding the future of Newington fc.

Up The Ton 🖤💚

This is an historic day, as Acht Gaeilge has been tabled at Westminster

Today belongs to the Irish language community, it is your resilience & dedication that has ensured we have reached this monumental milestone

Acht Gaeilge must now be delivered into law without further delay

Democracy must be respected & an Executive formed to deliver for all.

That is the consistent message the Sinn Féin team has brought to Westminster today.

£420m is waiting to be spent on supporting workers & families as the cost of living rises.

We must deliver for people.

Today I was proud to accompany @RelsForJustice families as they handed a letter into @10DowningStreet setting out their opposition to the shameful legacy bill.

This legislation will deny families truth & justice, & to wrap it in the language of reconciliation is shameful.

My piece in today’s @irish_news👇🏻

“Three quarters of those elected to the Assembly want to get back to work immediately to tackle the cost of living crisis... The DUP should stop punishing people for its political mistakes and let us get on with the job we were elected to do.”

"People in the North voted overwhelmingly for parties who would go back to work in an instant. Because they recognise that the issues people are concerned about is cost of living issues and it's our health service" – @johnfinucane on #RTÉPT

Met with An Taoiseach at government buildings this morning. Shared priority to have a functioning Assembly & Executive without delay. The democratic outcome of the election must be respected. People cannot wait a day longer for parties to get to work on their behalf.

Belfast Castle is open again for visitors!

⏰ 9am-6pm, Monday- Sunday, to explore the interior & visitor centre

☕ 10am-4pm, Wednesday-Friday & 10am-5pm, Saturday & Sunday, for snacks & hot drinks in the Castle Tavern (card payments only)

Complete abdication of responsibility by @J_Donaldson_MP He will sit in London without a thought for workers, families and everyone struggling to get by. So much for respecting the outcome of the election.

The electorate have spoken & given parties a democratic mandate to form a govt & get down to business

Sinn Féin is committed to forming an Executive with others & the DUPs refusal only punishes those workers/families who now more than ever need us to take our seats & get to work

This has been an historic election, & one of real change.

Gerry & Carál along with the rest of the Sinn Féin team will be in Stormont on Monday ready to work, to put money in people’s pockets, to invest in our health service, & build a better future for all.

Huge congratulations to @NewingtonFC on yet more success.

Disappointed I can’t be there today (elections…) but I hope all players, management & supporters enjoy every minute of the celebrations.

Well done everyone 🟢⚫️

Brendan Crossan @CrossanBrendan
