Happy 10th Birthday to SWAH! 🥳

Like the entire Health Service, our hospital has had its challenges but thanks to the staff, it has persevered. However, they can't be expected to maintain this intensity without the support of a functioning Assembly. The DUP are holding us back!

I'm waiting at customs in Heathrow, having paid £700 to get our equipment in & out of the country. We are off to Italy. Before Brexit there was no charge & no customs delay

A real world example of Brexit making things more expensive, inefficient, difficult & less enjoyable

Today's news, pls RT.

In the abscene of a statutory individual duty of candour.....

I took some delight in planting a hill with Oak. It was such an inaccessible, dangerous slope, ideally suited for a small woodland copse. I enjoy thinking about this in 100 years time, alive with wildlife. A legacy woodland.

As flimsy excuses go, those offered by a spokesperson for An Taoiseach in this article are right up there.

Gov parties must explain to people in the North why they blocked their elected representatives from cooperating in the Oireachtas on shared issues facing all of our people.

A stroke is a medical emergency and requires immediate medical attention-recognising stroke symptoms is crucial:
Face-Has it fallen on one side?
Arms-Can they raise them?
Speech-Is it slurred?
Time–If you notice any of these signs make the call, Dial 999

Taoiseach, in the spirit of sharing the island and Article 2 of Bunreacht na hÉireann Ireland is home to 7.116 million people - like me - I’m Irish, I live in Ireland but I’m not counted in the statistics you cite. Please stop ‘othering’ us and our Irishness. Go raibh maith agat. https://twitter.com/MichealMartinTD/status/1539925610553810945

The Irish population continues to grow – with Ireland home to more than 5m people for first time since 1851.

Census illustrates the need for continued investment in services such as childcare, education, health and housing to keep pace.

Before #AE22 I wrote to the @healthdpt Minister asking that he increases the mileage allowance for domiciliary care workers. Following #AE22, I contacted the Minister again and his response can be read below.

To the staff and pupils at @erne_college thank you so much for having me yesterday

I met an incredible bunch of young people and I'll definitely be back!

@CiaranB19 I grew up in Drumahoe. This is vandalism of a local business and it is appalling. It is also just up the road from the paras flag. Local unionist politicians must take action.

I hope all at @EireOg appreciate how much their players, members and supporters have helped our community this last couple of days.

Our greatest rivals cancelled a major fundraiser, supplied food etc and turned out in massive numbers for tonight’s vigil.

The Casey effect

What an amazing tribute to #DamianCasey. While there was so much grief and sadness we were all there supporting one another.
There are difficult days ahead, but the strength of the @officialgaa will get us through them.

Fortunately, I avoided the electronic tagging plan of displaced vulnerable people in UK when I came. That's why I'm able to serve in the NHS today like so many others.
Bad luck to the new arrivals!

I’m so lucky to still have my Daddy in my life, but this #FathersDay is full of emotion and raw grief in Tyrone.

One father waiting to bury a precious son, another hoping his will be found safe and well in Florida. For those struggling to cope today, may you find the strength.

Paul McCartney turns 80 today.

He wrote “Give Ireland Back to the Irish” the morning after Bloody Sunday in solidarity with the people of Free Derry.

Tonight the thought @Aideen_Reporter is no longer with us is just heart breaking. A decent soul who suffered too much. The news has stunned many of us. We all need to take care. God bless her. RIP.

Our hearts are broken.

Everyone is welcome to a vigil at the club at 6pm on Sunday night. Damian’s family have asked all to wear a GAA jersey.

We will share information regarding the wake and funeral when it becomes clear.

RIP leader

There’s a heartbroken family & community in Dungannon with news of the tragic death of Damian Casey, a prolific hurler with @DGNHurlingclub and @TyroneGAALive.

Thinking of his devastated parents and sisters, his family and friends, his teammates and all those who loved him.

This afternoon I met with Senate Majority Leader @SenSchumer

He made his unequivocal support for the Good Friday Agreement clear, importance of respecting & honouring international agreements & expressed strong criticism of British govt legacy legislation

His support is welcome

It is absolutely clear here in Washington that there will be no trade deal with Britain while they take unilateral action to break International Legally Binding agreements. This US bipartisan steadfast support of the GFA is critical and deeply appreciated.

Business reps incl @ManufacturingNI do a constructive/positive job acting in interests of business, workers & economy- to create jobs, make it simpler to do business in EU& British markets & avail of opportunities of Protocol.

We need an Executive to lead & assist their efforts! https://twitter.com/AmandaFBelfast/status/1537331252319117313

Amanda Ferguson @AmandaFBelfast

NEW: I’ve been contacted in confidence by a business man concerned about recent unhelpful comments about Manufacturing NI. He says Stephen Kelly is ‘a man of integrity 100% focused on trade solutions’. 1/3

Great to see the official launch of the Welding Academy in Cookstown yesterday. @CoraCorry7

Mega worked in partnership with @swccollege and @Economy_NI to improve the #skills shortages of welders. Quality training influenced by local companies is key to the success of academy.

Twenty-five years ago tomorrow (Sunday 15th June 1997), Tyrone Minor footballer Paul McGirr sadly lost his life after being injured in an Ulster Championship clash against Armagh. Ar dheis Dé go raibh a anam🙏🇵🇱 #TyroneGAA

“The DUP have proved themselves time and time again to be anything but experts.”

On a cold windy night, it was a pleasure to give a talk & train the @ederneygaa hurling & camogie teams of Co. #Fermanagh. It was a brilliant session & the love for #hurling and #camogie these guys have is absolutely inspirational - I wish them all the best in their 2022 season!

The Tories received less than 300 votes in the most recent Assembly elections.

Boris Johnson and Brandon Lewis have absolutely no mandate or support for their reckless Brexit agenda.

A majority of people and parties support the protocol, and the opportunities that it creates.

Statement from @RepRichardNeal as the British Gov. unilaterally moves to break international agreements and law. Negotiated joint solutions are the only way forward. C

EU remains keen to find a negotiated solution to NIP through partnership & compromise, but we need a partner that is willing to meet us half way!
Instead U.K. Govt moves ahead with unilateral action to break an Int. Agreement.

The unilateral actions of Boris Johnson are utterly reckless. It is clearly a breach of International Law. The impact on our businesses & economy could be colossal. The pro-protocol parties have jointly written to Boris Johnson today to firmly reject his legislation and approach

Ten years on from lifting an All-Ireland title with Fermanagh, Cormac McAdam was involved in a work accident that left him confined to a wheelchair

The Protocol is necessary. Govts normally try to minimise the differences between their obligations under international law & domestic law. The Tories are doing the opposite. No Bill will justify their failure to perform its obligations in good faith under international law.

There is an event at the Gillaroo, Garrison this coming Tuesday 14th June from 10am-3.30pm. It is for anyone who needs a hand with getting advice about household grants, worried about safety, heat and benefits. To be honest there could be something for everybody's circumstances.

We are having a very special event this Sunday in the Parish of Aghaloo and Carnteel. Celebrating 120 years since the purchase of the site of St Mary's Chapel, we are having an open air mass at the site of the old quarry chapel, with family fun day to follow
