Delighted to be at @RIBA today to talk about our work to help create beautiful, green garden communities across England– backed by £69 million funding so far.

Creating well-designed places people want to call home is central to our mission to #levelup the country.

After a busy day of constituency, ministerial and virtual meetings it was nice to join Cllr Dawn Collins and Tracy Stones out on the doorstep in Horsforth and Rawdon ward speaking to local residents yesterday evening.

We are backing community led housing with a £4m fund, putting local people in the driving seat to build affordable homes that regenerate and restore pride in their communities.

It's the biggest single personal tax cut in over a decade.

Today’s historic vote marks a moment where the contrast between right and wrong has rarely been so stark.

141 countries have voted to condemn Putin’s war.

Russia must withdraw from Ukraine. Putin must fail.

Extraordinary moment in parliament today ahead of PMQs when Mr Speaker welcomed the Ukrainian Ambassador to the UK to the gallery. All sides of the House gave a standing ovation to show our solidarity with the people of Ukraine. 🇺🇦

Transforming derelict brownfield sites into vibrant places where people want to live and work is a key part of our mission to level up the country - and something I have supported my entire career.

During a visit to the West Midlands last week, I saw just how government money is helping breathe new life into our towns and cities🔽

The images coming out of Ukraine are hard to comprehend in a 21st century Europe.

We stand with the people of Ukraine against this aggression and utterly condemn the actions of President Putin 🇬🇧🇺🇦

It was a pleasure to close today's Opposition Day Debate on non-commissioned exempt accommodation on behalf of the Government.

Everyone in our society deserves to live somewhere which is decent, is safe, and is secure.

We’ve been working hard behind the scenes🎬to make this happen. We've agreed an MoU with developer Digbeth Loc. (led by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight & @stanhope_plc) to develop a mixed-use scheme, starting with a state-of-the-art film studio for #MasterChefUK.

In Wales, Andy Haldane, Permanent Secretary of the Levelling Up Taskforce, visited the sustainable regeneration project @Grange_Pavilion supported by a Community Renewal Fund grant.

He also met with local business leaders and the @WelshLGA to discuss their role in #LevellingUp.

£19.9m in #LevellingUp funding is supporting the creation of a world leading research facility, the National Science Conservation Centre @TwycrossZoo.

Levelling Up Minister @NeilDotObrien visited to see the plans and hear how it will create local jobs & education opportunities.

Good to speak with more local residents today at Supermarket surgeries in Horsforth and Guiseley with Cllrs Dawn Collins, Richard Hardcastle and Paul Wadsworth.

📊I am pleased to see in the latest figures that claimant count data for unemployment in Pudsey is at 2.7% compared with 4.3% national average.

It’s Small Business Saturday, a chance to support the many varied and important local businesses across Pudsey, Horsforth and Aireborough.

It’s not been an easy time for them over the last 2 years and so this year’s event is more important than ever.

Today is finally the day...!

Can't wait to shortly welcome everyone to the big switch on of Guiseley Lights.

I was up the ladder yesterday putting the lights on the tree, adding the final touches ahead of the big switch on from 5.45pm today.

Privileged to attend the Remembrance services in Pudsey, Farlsey and Rawdon today. Wonderful to see thousands of people come out to show their respects.

Grateful to those who laid wreaths on my behalf in Calverley, Horsforth and Guiseley.

We pause in silence today to remember all those who made the ultimate sacrifice in defence of our nation.

I was honoured to remember the fallen of our constituency in Parliament at the Constituency Garden of Remembrance this week. #WeWillRememberThem

Wonderful to meet @ThisisDavina at this morning's #MakeMenopauseMatter drop-in event for @carolynharris24's Menopause Private Member's Bill.

Great to hear the minister announce a package of support & measures including cutting the cost of HRT as part of the #womenshealthstrategy

I am absolutely delighted that the Chancellor has just announced in his Budget that the bid that we backed from the Levelling Up Fund has been successful.

£20m has been allocated for improvements to the Ring Road from Dawsons Corner to Horsforth roundabout to tackle congestion.

I am at a loss for words.

To lose another colleague like Sir David Amess, in such awful circumstances, is hard to comprehend.

Sir David’s passion was clear for all to see across 40 years public service. A truly lovely man.

My thoughts are with his family at this time.

I am so deeply saddened to hear of the passing of James Brokenshire.

A wonderful colleague, I had the pleasure of working with James on a number of occasions. He was unfailingly the most charming, kind, and generous of individuals. My thoughts are with his whole family.

Today is the day of the House of Lords and Commons match at Pudsey St Lawrence cricket club. It should be a great event with some famous faces attending. It’s free so please do go along and enjoy. Sadly, due to commitments in Westminster it now looks like I won’t be back in time.
