Last Friday I had a fantastic time meeting the engaged and passionate students of Pilton Infants School in #Barnstaple. It is great to see the school going beyond the curriculum to teach about community involvement and how students can work together.

Yesterday evening it was a pleasure to join the @Airbus reception at #Westminster and meet with @Tritech_Group who have manufacturing facilities in #Barnstaple and #Ilfracombe with current job opportunities and apprenticeships

Yesterday evening I caught up with Environment Secretary, George Eustice over #NDevon issues from farming to fishing to sand on the Highway 🐟🐄🏖

On #NetZeroDay as a member of @EnvironmentAPPG we are highlighting that all parties back reaching net zero by 2050 or sooner. We can and must deliver a greener economy for all to enjoy across #NDevon and the world. 🌍

Reading the new Lib Dem MP for Tiverton and Honiton’s policy proposal on fuel tax cutting I believe he should join me on the @Conservative benches as his views are far more in line with our existing policies than the party he purports to represent.

Today I called out the Leader of the Lib Dems, for his inaccuracy in understanding rural policies. @Conservative MPs understand rural issues and the complexities of our geography. The Lib Dems shown again to mislead and make up policies to suit their electioneering @TivHonTories

Congratulations to #NDevon business @AramisRugby for becoming an Official Supporter of @rugbyworldcup. Supported by @WillGreenwood & @BillBeaumont I was joined by the Chancellor @RishiSunak, @MarkPawsey and many other colleagues to celebrate British manufacturing and innovation.

Very interesting event on colour blind awareness that affects 1 in 12 men, 1 in 200 women. So important school children know if they are colour blind to give them the best chance of success at school and beyond and too many currently do not

A certain irony to attend the #LonelinessAwarenessWeek event to find no one there 😂

With @CllrAndreaDavis it was great to welcome @michaelgove to #Devon and show him the kinds of rural communities that need levelling up. He is engaged with housing problems in areas such as #Barnstaple, I hope to keep working with him to rebalance our housing market in #NDevon.
