Now is the time for delivery 👍
#Peterborough MP Paul Bristow is putting pressure on Peterborough City Council to finally make the £150 million #NorthWestgate development dream become a reality.
John and I were appalled by this, and I hope the police make efforts to tackle the yobs responsible for this type of vandalism 💪
"This is our history and it is a prestigious building, it is absolutely disgraceful"- anger as graffiti found on Peterborough Guildhall
Mayor of Peterborough and Cambridgeshire @NikJohnsonCA may be returning millions earmarked for warming homes in Peterborough to Central Government 😡
This is nothing short of a national scandal. This money should be spent on homes in Bretton, Ravensthorpe, Paston and elsewhere.
Desperately sad. Proud to have worked with local residents 💙
I am just so sorry my efforts were not enough to make council lawyers and officers look seriously at alternative options 🙏
Some amazing pictures from our big skydive today 🪂 ✈️
Remember @NewArk_Play need every penny
We have raised over £2,000 so far 💙
✅We're getting on with the job of protecting the public and ensuring the most dangerous offenders spend longer behind bars.
🥀Laws opposed by Labour & the Lib Dems.

What better way to recover from a skydive than delivering surveys across West Town and #listeningtopeterborough? 💙
So it’s done! 🤩
Skydive for @NewArk_Play 🪂 ✈️

Not long now - only minutes to go before we throw ourselves out of plane for @NewArk_Play ✈️ 🪂
You can still sponsor Head Office Ltd and myself as we do this crackers thing for a great cause
THREAD @NikJohnsonCA is responsible for energy projects across the South East. That may be a surprise, but he runs the Cambridgeshire & Peterborough Combined Authority, which is the accountable body for the South East Energy Hub. 🏡 1/6
On my visit to Cobden St 2 years ago, @PeterboroughCC @CrossKeysHomes & police saw poor parking, unsafe spaces & flytipping 😞
Issues remain, BUT a real effort has been made👏
👉Demarcated parking places & bollards
A lot done, a lot more to do! 💙
This is excellent news.
This is a once in a generation chance to use this prime asset to bring jobs, retail and other visitors to our city.
It's full steam ahead for an ambitious £70 million Station Quarter development in #Peterborough that is expected to bring new businesses, jobs and visitors to the city.
Armed Forces Day 2022: Active armed forces personnel joined by veterans for Peterborough parade
It’s #NationalBingoDay day! I went to visit my friends at @Buzz_Bingo #Peterborough. One of my first jobs was at a bingo hall up in Lancaster where I went to University. What a fun and easy going day/night out 👍
Flooding has created a truly desperate situation in Bangladesh 🇧🇩
Lives have been lost, livelihoods destroyed, and homes washed away 🥲
@zi87826017, and the Zi Foundation, have lept into action. Delighted to help with fundraising, and raise awareness of the tragedy 💪

Armed Forces Champion - Cllr John Fox - and I were appalled to see the graffiti at the Guildhall at the Armed Forces Day service this weekend 😡
The mindless yobs responsible should be ashamed 🥲
The police should crack down on this urgently. Let’s get it cleaned up 💪
Ferry Meadows is truly beautiful. A real gem in our City’s crown 💙
It was so nice to see so many families there yesterday enjoying themselves with the nice weather ☀️ 🍦

Street meeting this evening with businesses & residents in West Town - discussed parking, fly tipping & improving roads 🙏
Some ask why I get involved in issues for local councillors. Local issues matter. I shall always try my best to get results 💙

Went to check out the awesome new bar on Bridge Street @BijouPeterboro🍹

Armed Forces Day 🇬🇧
An honour to speak at the event this morning in Cathedral Square 👍
Our brilliant armed forces sign up to keep us a free country. This is personal - my father was a soldier 🙏
We should never forget their dedication to our great country 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
Yesterday I held a street meeting with residents and community activists on Cromwell Road to look at traffic management, parking and drainage 👍
I am not a councillor, but it is part of my job as the local MP to press for action on these matters. Local people deserve action 💪
A welcome addition to Bridge Street and the city centre
Today I signed a Levelling Up bid from @PeterboroughCC that could see our City awarded £50 million 🖊
This could build us a brand new station enhancing the whole area - bringing new retail, jobs and make us all #proudofpeterborough 💙
Coffee and ice cream at The Lounge Peterborough - yum 🤤 ☕️ 🍨
The SKYDIVE 🪂 is on Wednesday 😱
I am doing it for the @NewArk_Play City Farm 🐖 🐴

6 Years Today 🇬🇧 🗳
I know it was difficult for some - but was very proud to put my cross in the 'leave' box 6 years ago.
More to do but we must not give up 🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧🇬🇧
👂Listening to Peterborough
This summer I am delivering thousands of surveys across #Peterborough asking you for feedback. I want to know what you think about a number issues 🙏

⭐️Thorney Medical Centre Update⭐️
Letter to Jan Thomas from @CambsPboroICS asking what she can to help reopen Thorney Medical Centre💙
Asked if there was capacity elsewhere to transfer staff to Thorney?
The admin staff do a difficult job - they should never face abuse.
ARMED FORCES WEEK 👍
This is personal. My father was a soldier 👏
Every single day, members of the Armed Forces work around the clock to keep the UK and our allies safe.
On #ArmedForcesWeek, we salute their service. 💙
There has been anger at the decision to chop down a 600-year-old oak tree in Peterborough

With @MaryHerdman to check out the tennis court at Thorney Park. It could do with a bit of love 💙🎾
The LTA are improving courts - including Central Park #Peterborough. But in places with multiple courts.
Not giving up. I’ll meet the LTA for advice on improving facilities here
My letter to Peterborough City Council asking them to come and meet with the residents of Burghley Mansions - and support those that need help to find alternative accommodation 🙏
I am disappointed, esp when alternative strategies like root barriers need to be explored🌳
The householders need a solution, but it shouldn’t be necessary to fell an ancient tree.
It’s difficult for PCC, but I would like to see their lawyers stand up to the Insurance companies
A difficult decision has been made to fell Bretton Oak tree on Tuesday, 28 June as the alternative could cost the council hundreds of thousands of pounds in repairs and legal fees. A total of 100 young oak trees will instead be planted in the city https://orlo.uk/4XVkA
I went to see some of the tenants of Burghley Mansions - the properties are being redeveloped leaving residents not much time to find new homes.
After a meeting with the landlord company - they have offered more time together with help and support to find homes - thank you 🙏
Great bloke Andrew Hicks is another #Peterborough Hero 🙏 He has been teaching martial arts in our City for 30 years💙
Thanks to him - many more people have greater self-confidence, discipline, and improved mental & physical health

A series of bad calls, and backing the strikers over the strivers this week shows that Starmer is definitely not on your side.

5 years on from this cowardly act of terrorism my thoughts are with the family of Makram Ali and those affected by the Finsbury Park Mosque attack.
Freedom of worship and tolerance for different faiths is fundamental to our values. Terrorists will never change our way of life. https://twitter.com/BBCLondonNews/status/1538416290326491136
This Sunday marks five years since the Finsbury Park terror attack, when a van was driven into worshippers outside a mosque. Ruzina Akhtar lost her father Makram Ali. This is her first interview about what happened that tragic night.
