It's been fantastic to represent Yeovil constituency these last 9 yrs and I'm delighted to seek re-election in the coming weeks. So much great stuff is under way from A303 dualling to Yeovil College expansion to putting Leonardo in pole position for the MoD's new helicopter!

A lot of nonsense being talked about food prices by the usual suspects trying to make politics out of it to suit their biases.

With attention building for #DDay80, we shouldn’t forget today’s 80th anniversary of Monte Cassino, a hard-fought victory for Allied forces that paved the way for the liberation of Rome.

The Allies suffered over 54k casualties and their sacrifice will never be forgotten.

We don't hold Microsoft responsible when drug gangs use Excel to keep track of their profits. We don't arrest Apple executives when criminals plot crimes using FaceTime. We don't prosecute the NYSE because people can use it for insider trading.

We have a long, sad history of "national security" being abused to deprive us of so many liberties. There's a straight and terrible line from the Alien and Sedition Acts, to the Japanese internment camps, to the Patriot Act, to the prosecutions of coders of neutral software.

I can literally think of no event less suited to an intelligent discussion of the Middle East than the Eurovision song contest. It's like attempting to better understand quantum physics by watching the Horse Of The Year Show.

Not to nitpick but @Keir_Starmer's Small Boats Command seems to be essentially identical to the existing Small Boats Operational Command, which launched last year with the same people doing the same thing... https://www.gov.uk/government/news/leadership-of-small-boats-operations-returns-to-the-home-office

Labour say voters want change. Most do not want more taxes, more bans, more illegal migration, more restrictions on driving which many fear Labour would bring them.

They called you a ‘bigot’ if you questioned whether women had a penis.

Then, a ‘flat-earther’ if you want to stop ULEZ.

Now you’re a ‘racist’ if you vote for Susan Hall.

Welcome to a society run by Labour. They’ll shame you until you do as you’re told.

Phone based childhood is a recipe for serious problems. Schools need more than guidance on what to do on them and I signed this letter. As parents we also have the tough task of guiding our children how to use devices as tools not distractions.

We’re taking action to protect a vital food source for puffins, kittiwakes and other iconic seabirds. We can do this because of our exit from the EU.

I visited the UK’s largest mainland seabird colony @Bempton_Cliffs last week to see some of the species that will benefit.
