For the avoidance of doubt - again - I’m not bloody defecting.

To those anonymous colleagues spreading such rumours, my door is always open for a chat.

So, it turns out Durham Police, far from not doing retrospective fines, have issued 100 of them

No wonder @Keir_Starmer took so long over his questionnaire & took expert legal advice about completing it

Innovation, like science, requires collaboration.

If we continue to be blocked by the EU from Horizon, other international programs, like #Eureka, become even more key.

To Lisbon @ukinportugal for today’s #Eureka #GlobalInnovationSummit of 47 nations to deepen UK collaboration

Keir Starmer has spent 11 days refusing to condemn the rail strikes. On Wednesday he ordered his MPs not to take a stand against the militant unions.

Now we know why: In private, he's backing the strikes which will grind the country to a halt.

Remembering Jo Cox and her contribution to politics and public life. My thoughts are with her loved ones today.

We will never let those who commit evil and despicable acts to triumph over democracy.

Strong trusts deliver transformative benefits for children, especially those from disadvantaged backgrounds.

Today, I addressed the #CSTConf22 to reaffirm my vision for these trusts to play a leading role in our ambitions for children.

New - today we've moved one step closer to securing finance for Britain's new fleet of nuclear plants 🇬🇧

1⃣ set out plans for Sizewell C to receive support through our new financing model

2⃣ consulting on key regulations to kick-start other projects

Families are facing global cost of living pressures. Labour's response? Backing national rail strikes.

We're tackling the rising cost of housing.

By extending the right-to-buy scheme to housing associations, a further 2.5 million households will be eligible to purchase their own home.

We're reviewing access to mortgages so those in 'Generation Rent' can become 'Generation Buy'.

“I hope they don’t fine Starmer because I’d much rather face Keir Starmer than Wes Streeting in an election”

Conservative @AaronBell4NUL says that @Keir_Starmer is guilty of the same behaviour as @BorisJohnson, adding that he’s “not going down well in the Red Wall”.

I will be voting (by proxy) today in full support of the Prime Minister. He delivered Brexit. He secured Covid vaccines freeing us from lockdowns earlier.
PM getting on with the job of tackling illegal immigration and Levelling Up.

Boris has my full confidence.

Never in my lifetime have we had a Prime Minister who has faced so much adversity and has got the big calls right.

From Brexit to Covid to support for Ukraine.

Boris has steered the ship. #BackBoris

Wishing #GTFC the best today. Unfortunately due to illness, I’m unable to travel to the match but will be watching on TV. Let’s hope we get that win and promotion 🤞. I see Diana Ross was wearing our colours at the concert last night, so I’m taking that as a good omen! #UTM

The floating offshore wind market is set to boom - I want more parts made in the UK.

Today I’ve opened a new £160m fund to upgrade British ports so we can land those manufacturers.

Great for clean, home-grown energy, but also for jobs and growth 🇬🇧

Worley brings its tool box to Grimsby as it gears up to play key part in Energy Estuary engineering boom:

Recruitment drive follows contract wins worth £26m at Grimsby energy-focused engineering specialist - headcount could rise by 30 per cent:

Here is the official moment that my Marriage Bill, which I have campaigned on for over 5 years, has passed through all its parliamentary stages and become an Act of Parliament.

The rules and the way they are interpreted should apply equally to the Prime Minister, @BorisJohnson, & to those who seek that office like @Keir_Starmer

And they should be applied equally by the police, whether @metpoliceuk or @DurhamPolice

As India celebrates its 75th year of independence, I’m hugely optimistic about the depth of the friendship between our countries, and the security and prosperity it can deliver for our peoples for generations to come.

Such a brilliant event at @NHM_London last night to launch our Sustainability and Climate Change Strategy 🌍🌳♻️

Great to be joined by so many incredible ambassadors.

Many people have contacted me about the use of St James Hotel for illegal migrants. I intervened as soon as I found out about the plans. Ministers agreed with me that it is an inappropriate location and have now withdrawn the plan. A good result for #Grimsby

.@FelicityBuchan says Labour briefings that Tory MPs who were warned they would pay the price for not backing the motion was “is threatening bullying toxic talk”

The government must do everything it can to deal with the cost of living challenges faced by people in the UK.

That’s what the Prime Minister told MPs tonight and he was completely right.

Together we will get on with the job and focus on the people’s priorities.

JUST ANNOUNCED: The UK has signed a ground-breaking new migration partnership with Rwanda to deter dangerous and illegal journeys to the UK.

The New Plan for Immigration promised bold action.
Today we’re delivering a key part of that.

With the unemployment rate returning to the lowest we’ve seen in nearly 50 years, it’s clear our #PlanForJobs has worked-protecting livelihoods & business throughout the pandemic. @DWP we’re doing all we can in our JCPs with our #WaytoWork scheme & supporting people to progress

At a handshake distance. @BorisJohnson and @ZelenskyyUa walked through the center of Kyiv and talked to ordinary Kyivans. This is what democracy looks like. This is what courage looks like. This is what true friendship between peoples and between nations looks like.

A minister (for the first time?) welcomes the idea that fewer people might go to university in 10 years. As a former university lecturer (Kings College London + Leicester), @alexburghart, skills minister, knows some undergraduates would be better served doing an apprenticeship.

Congratulations to the 152,000+ young people who have started in a Kickstart job since the #Kickstart Scheme began in Sep 2020

Each one a new opportunity for people to gain the vital skills they need to become the workforce of the future

I recently met with the Schools Minister @WalkerWorcester to discuss secondary school attainment in #Grimsby and how Government can assist in improving outcomes for 16 year-olds.

We’re delivering our promise to match NICs and income-tax thresholds in full, this year.

It's the biggest single personal tax cut in over a decade.

70% of all workers will have their taxes cut by more than the amount they’ll pay through the new NHS & Care Levy.

From July, people will be able to earn £12,570 a year without paying any income tax or National Insurance.

It’s a £6bn personal tax cut for 30 million people in the UK.

It’s worth over £330 a year and is the largest increase in a basic rate threshold – ever.👇
