Wonderful to see the Suffolk County Flag flying high in Parliament Square. Our flag is one of 52 flags of the historic counties of Great Britain on display for #HistoricCountyFlagsDay🇬🇧 when we celebrate our remarkable county’s history, culture and traditions.

Good to speak with BDUK about major delivery programs: Shared Rural Network & Project Gigabit⚡️Connectivity is essential for residents & businesses - I’m glad government is working with suppliers to roll out full fibre to the hardest to reach areas of my constituency #4thUtility

I met with @GBSSupport to hear about their campaign for better prevention against group B Strep. GBS is the most common cause of life-threatening infection in newborn babies in the UK. I spoke to our hospital trust to see what more we can do to tackle the terrible infection 👶🏻

I shared my objection to National Grid UK's current East Anglia GREEN proposals and pushed for sub-sea transmission to be put to the local community as an option. It’s vital any proposals protect rural communities. We power the nation with its food & energy – we want to be heard

Fabulous news and good to see the consultation delivering for the 51% of the population that this affects! Additional breast screening is really welcome to help early diagnosis and save lives.

In welcoming Secretary of State for @DHSCgovuk, I asked him to commit to sorting out electronic prescribing between hospital consultants and GPs to help save patients and doctors time, and free up vital medical appointments.

📣More dental news: @SNEEICB_IES have launched a tender process to provide 3 dental access centres, including one in #BuryStEdmunds. Having worked with a broad range of stakeholders to improve access to patients, I welcome this important step and urge providers to come forward🦷

👶 Looking out for those particularly at risk
💨 Ventilating buildings and vehicles

Good visit to the reuse shop and HWRC with @suffolkcc, @FCC_Environment and @CharityTBF. Funds from the shop help with other projects TBF run and help drive a circular economy.♻️

Enough is enough - 13 MPs say @nationalgriduk must reopen the East Anglia GREEN pylon consultation. Protection of rural communities must be given the same weight in East Anglia as in other parts of the UK. #OffSET

Meeting earlier with minister @GillianKeegan, colleagues & health leadership @NSFTtweets demanding improvements to mental health provision for constituents across Norfolk & Suffolk. Progress must be made to address patient concerns - further meetings scheduled over coming weeks.

It is with a heavy heart that I have this morning tendered my resignation to the Prime Minister. I will not be doing media interviews on this matter.

Every child deserves the best start in life and that means providing families with the support they need to balance work with childcare costs.

That’s why we want to increase awareness of childcare offers that boost choice and affordability for parents.
