What has Robert Jenrick been up to today?

Robert Jenrick is MP for Newark and a member of the Conservative party.

Rachel Reeves’s tax and spend agenda is driving the UK economy into the ground.

The pound and FTSE have plummeted. Borrowing costs have sky rocketed to their highest level since 2008.

Global confidence in Labour’s economic plan has collapsed.

Hardworking Brits will inevitably… https://x.com/i/web/status/1877323687906451667

Later today Labour MPs for places like Telford, Rochdale, Bristol, Derby, Bradford and dozens more will vote against a national inquiry into the gangs that systematically raped children in their constituencies.

Why do they think obeying Keir Starmer’s whip is more important… https://x.com/i/web/status/1876984087073947883

Highest gilt yields in 27 years. Yet more evidence Labour have driven our economy into a ditch. They talked it down. They taxed the life out of it. They’ve racked up borrowing. They killed growth. Now we are all paying the price with higher inflation, fewer jobs and lower wages.

Sir Nick Gibb is absolutely right.

Labour’s “Children’s Wellbeing and Schools” Bill is an act of vandalism, driven by ideology. They are tearing up everything that has driven improvement in our schools.

The Reeves guide to conning the public:

1. Fake your CV
2. Tell working people you won’t raise their taxes
3. Squeeze them to the pips and give their money to your union paymasters

You can’t trust a word she says👇

‘Non-crime hate incidents’ are an attack on free speech and a preposterous waste of police time.

@SuellaBraverman is right. They should now be scrapped altogether.

Police the streets, not tweets.

Labour’s own assessment shows scrapping Winter Fuel Payments will place 100,000 more pensioners in relative poverty.

Meanwhile Labour are forking out billions on vanity projects.

This is a cruel Government of self-service.

Starmer openly admits Labour intervened in the application to build the new Chinese Embassy (massive spy hub) after Xi Jinping pressured him.

Weak. Weak. Weak.

The Assisted Dying Bill isn’t party political, but the lack of any consultation or impact assessment risks making it unworkable.

I have real concerns the courts won’t cope and the safeguards aren’t sufficient to prevent abuse.

Here’s my letter to the Justice Secretary:

This monster should be deported immediately.

A failed asylum seeker and convicted paedophile gets to stay in the UK so as not to hurt his “family life”.

This madness needs to end.

Who’d have predicted Labour’s plan to slash housebuilding targets in our biggest cities would be a disaster.

Build the homes.

‘I spent a decade working as an economist at the Bank of England.’

Another brazen lie from Rachel Reeves.

It’s one rule for her, another for everyone else.

We passed Labour the fastest growing economy in the G7.

But their doom-and-gloom rhetoric knocked consumer and investor confidence.

Now they’re hiking taxes on jobs. It’s set to go from bad to worse.

Police the streets, not tweets.

As I say in @DailyMailUK doubling down on ‘non-crime hate incidents’ shows how out of touch Starmer is.

The police should keep the public safe, not trawl through twitter.

One arrest isn’t going to stop the boats.

Stop trying to con the public your ‘plan’ is working.

Small boats arrivals are already up on your watch.

Starmer shouldn’t be wasting a second of our police officers’ time on so-called ‘Non Crime Hate Incidents’.

They’re a chilling attack on free speech.

Police the streets, not tweets.

We still don’t know the truth.

Who in Government knew what and when?

Why were the public kept in the dark for so long?

Labour are deluded if they think these questions are going away.

Labour’s housing policy goes from bad to worse.

By ditching the building beautiful agenda they will reduce consent for new housing and ruin the character of communities.

In a hyper-globalised era, people yearn for a strong sense of place more than ever.

What has Rishi Sunak been up to today?

Rishi Sunak is MP for Richmond (Yorks) and a member of the Conservative party.

Rishi Sunak has 514297 followers on Twitter.

Prostate cancer affects thousands of lives every year and early detection is crucial.

Today in Parliament, I urged @wesstreeting to consider the excellent @PCR_News report on screening.

This will save lives and save the NHS money - more people need to know about it.

No farmers, no food.

Listening to local farmers today reinforced my view that the Labour government must urgently reverse its industry-threatening tax.

Stand with us: http://stopthefarmtax.com

Early detection saves lives.

Proud to support the #ProactiveForYourProstate campaign, championing groundbreaking research and raising awareness of prostate cancer.

Today we remember those who served our country in war and honour their sacrifice.

Their bravery is why we live in freedom.

Congratulations to @KemiBadenoch on being elected @Conservatives party leader.

I know that she will be a superb leader of our great party. She will renew our party, stand up for Conservative values, and take the fight to Labour.

Let’s unite behind her.

Labour’s plan to eliminate Agricultural Property Relief risks the future of British farming.

Today I met with @NFUtweets and the Morrisons family on their farm near Northallerton to discuss the challenges they face and to offer my full support during these uncertain times.

Happy Diwali to all those celebrating across the UK and around the world.

Akshata and I were delighted to mark it with @ShivaniRaja_LE tonight in Leicester - home of the largest Diwali celebrations outside of India.

This Budget reveals the simple truth that the Prime Minister and Chancellor have not been straight with the British people 👇

Akshata and I recently joined members of the @PoppyLegion in Richmond Town Hall.

They’re a wonderful team raising money during this season of Remembrance to help those who have served.

The Poppy is our collective tribute to the fallen and supports the Legion’s vital work.

As leader of Hamas, Yahya Sinwar was responsible for horrific acts of terror. His removal marks a significant step towards justice.

Britain must remain committed to supporting Israel’s right to defend itself against terror and to ensuring peace in the region.

Three years ago, we lost a dedicated public servant and a friend, Sir David Amess.

His passion for his community and kindness to all will never be forgotten.

Today, we honour his legacy and continue to stand united against hatred and violence.

Alex Salmond was a huge figure in our politics. While I disagreed with him on the constitutional question, there was no denying his skill in debate or his passion for politics. May he rest in peace.

Labour’s first 100 days in power have failed the country and not delivered the change it promised voters.

Don’t take my word for it, take Keir Starmer’s.

Last night I attended a United Synagogue event with @chiefrabbi to mark the anniversary of the October 7th atrocities.

We stand in solidarity with the Jewish community and Israel.

One year ago, Hamas terrorists committed a barbaric attack against Israeli civilians.

It was a horrendous reminder of the persistence of anti-Semitism in our world and the existential threats Israel faces.

Our thoughts are with the hostages and their families. Bring them home.

Tonight’s attacks on Israel by Iran are a stark reminder of the existential threat it faces.

We stand unequivocally by Israel’s right to defend itself including against Hezbollah in Lebanon.

I want to thank all Conservative members for the support they have given me and everything they do for our Party.

We have four great candidates to be the next leader. Let’s unite behind the winner.
