🚜💷COST OF LIVING - FOOD SUPPLY💷🚜

I recently met with farmers from around York at Crockey Hill near Naburn to hear their views on what the government can do to help them produce more nutritious, affordable food, and create new jobs and apprenticeships for local residents.

#ArmedForcesDay2022 gives us the opportunity to thank and show our appreciation to our armed forces personnel and veterans for their service.

Their skill, professionalism and dedication to duty is second to none and we rightly have pride in how they represent our nation.

🧬PRECISION BREEDING TO PROTECT FOOD SUPPLY🧬
I used the first House of Commons stage of the Genetic Technology (Precision Breeding) Bill to strongly support improving national food security, boost animal welfare, enhance environmental protection and help the developing world. 🧵

For Britain to unlock its agritech potential, government policies must be rooted in science, writes British member of parliament Julian Sturdy.

💷BEING ABLE TO ACCESS AND SPEND CASH💷

At Women's and Equalities Questions yesterday, I raised concerns about businesses no longer accepting cash and how this excludes elderly customers as well as carers who are often given their client's money to spend in cash.

MPs are taking part in a Westminster Hall debate on accountability of Ofsted, led by @JulianSturdy.

A recent petition relating to Ofsted inspections received more than 13,000 signatures.

🗳CONFIDENCE VOTE🗳

The scale of the vote against the Prime Minister this evening is clear evidence that he no longer enjoys the full-hearted confidence of the parliamentary party and should consider his position.
