Happy New Year!

Today will always be a day of mixed emotions for me as I lost my wonderful mother Pam on New Year’s Day 2018.

But her compassion and her commitment to translate it into practical action will always inspire me.

Very sorry to hear of President Carter’s passing. I pay tribute to his decades of selfless public service.

My thoughts are with his family and friends at this time.

Saddened to learn of #JimmyCarter’s passing.

I once had the privilege of sharing a meal with him, where he spoke passionately about his love for Dylan Thomas's poetry and Welsh culture. A remarkable man who served not only as America’s 39th President, but as a humanitarian and… https://x.com/i/web/status/1873495035406340223

It’s a national scandal that former miners in Torfaen have had to fight for so long for the pension settlement they deserve. I’ve been fighting for since I was first elected as MP.

Incredibly proud that this Labour Government has ended this injustice👇
