Without the @UN, hundreds of millions of children worldwide would have grown up without an education.

Without education, we cannot unlock growth and prosperity.

The UK is proud to be a leading donor to @UNICEF, @EduCannotWait, @UNRWA and others on this #EducationDay.👇

Good to meet Rushanara Ali, Minister for Homelessness, to talk to her about the need for prevention. The cross-governmental strategies on homelessness and child poverty are very much in the spirit of prevention.

This will triple the amount of emergency funding to councils this winter.

Today we are tripling the emergency funding from £10 million to £30 million for councils to help the most vulnerable into safe and secure housing with warm beds, hot meals and specialist care.
