Inspiring to have @ZelenskyyUa at the #NATOSummit today. We stand in solidarity with Ukraine’s fight for freedom and self-determination. Now is the time to double down and ensure Ukraine defeats Russia so President Zelenskyy can negotiate from a position of strength.

Great to be back in London this afternoon representing @britishmarine and celebrating the @CanalRiverTrust's 10th anniversary at their parliamentary reception hosted by @baynes_simon. Virtual meeting have their place, but there's nothing like catching up face to face!

Today marks a crucial milestone in delivering on our promise to the British public to take back control of our borders.

These new measures coming in force will help us crack down on abuse of the system & evil people-smugglers.

Putting our #NewPlanForImmigration into action 🇬🇧

For someone who likes to present himself a standard bearer for honesty in politics, Mark Drakeford is veering off course wildly.

Nobody is perfect but when presented with chances to correct mistakes, it is a shame that Labour has chosen the route of denial in the face of facts. https://twitter.com/WalesPolitics/status/1541412180138106881

Tonight @HouseofCommons has backed the NI Protocol Bill.

It provides practical solutions to problems caused by the Protocol and protects the Belfast (Good Friday) Agreement.

While a negotiated outcome remains our preference - the EU must accept changes to the Protocol itself.

Secretary of State @NadineDorries met with major telecoms companies today, discussing support for paying phone bills and ensuring people know their options for staying connected.

NI Protocol Bill returns for 2nd reading today.

It will fix problems the Protocol has created in Northern Ireland & uphold the Belfast (Good Friday) Agreement. Our preference remains a negotiated outcome, but EU continues to rule out change to Protocol👇

OK. I wasn’t sure about the whole “let’s turn @TowerOfLondon’s moat into a meadow” idea. But today – watching the joy of hundreds as they wandered through the wildflowers – I got it. #Superbloom has transformed an overlooked desert at the heart of our City and it is bloody LOVELY

Grew up listening to the band from my hometown - what a moment to see Macca headlining last night, still rocking it at 80.
Coverage of Glasto fantastic as ever. Credit to the BBC who have pulled off another huge technical feat to bring all of this amazing music to us at home.

This generation, and the next, need a functioning health service.

But Labour spend their time and energy planning to put 36 more politicians in Cardiff Bay.

And the people of Wales haven’t had a chance to vote on it. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-wales-politics-61942096

Another great morning of Under 9s cricket for our juniors @NorthopHall_CC. Fantastic to see over 30 boys and girls from the Hall, @gresfordcricket and @brymbo_cricket practicing and developing their skills. 🏏🏏🏏👏👏👏

🥀 Labour has neglected the Welsh #transport network for more than two decades.

🚗 We've got congested roads, a crumbling #rail service, a failing #airport and a poor bus system.

👇 It's high time Labour wake up and deliver a transport network that is fit for the 21st century.

🥀 While people face pressures on their finances, Labour want to force through more politicians in the Senedd without your say.

🏥 Would you rather more politicians or more doctors, nurses and teachers?

Now is not the time to give up on Ukraine, they need the support and resolve of the @G7 more than ever.

The UK will continue to back Ukraine every step of the way, because we know that their security is our security, and their freedom is our freedom.

The free world must stay strong and united in support for Ukraine.

It is imperative that the @G7 and @NATO demonstrate commitment.

It's been a fantastic few days in Kigali.

We’re working alongside our Commonwealth friends to boost trade and investment, drive forward the green industrial revolution and find solutions for the crisis in Ukraine, which will be a focus of the G7 in the coming days.

Chirk Fest was buzzing today at the #Chirk AAA Club ground, organised by @ManicEventsLtd. Good to see Glyn Valley Tramway Trust, The Little Fudge Box from Ceiriog Valley, 1st Chirk Scout Group, Kirsty Cottam of Ysgol Pentre PTA and Chirk & Llangollen Royal Air Force Air Cadets.

An inspiring and uplifting few days! From bolstering our trade networks to launching programmes to get girls around the world access to quality education – this is what @CHOGM2022 is about.

We should all cherish the Commonwealth.

We've got Wimbledon from Monday, Silverstone next weekend, the Women's Euros from the 6 July, then the Commonwealth Games - with countless gigs and festivals thrown in for good measure. Talk about a culture powerhouse. (2/2)

Glasto, Goodwood, Rolling Stones, Red Hot Chilli Peppers, Elton, Eilish. What a weekend - and it's only the start of an epic British summer of culture and sport. (1/2)

Our Armed Forces are the pride of our nation. Today is our chance to celebrate the extraordinary contribution made by those who serve.

Thank you for all you do.

President Volodymyr Zelenskyy addressed the crowds at Glastonbury today with a video message which was played on the big screens.

In his message, he described how civilians in Ukraine wanted to 'enjoy freedom and this wonderful summer' but could not.

The RMT's unwarranted strikes haven't caused the mass overcrowding on buses or heavy congestion on our roads some feared.

But the Union is damaging the lives of everyday hardworking people that they claim to represent.

They should call off Saturday's strike now.

🚨 👮‍♂️ A pleasure to join PC Lloyd Williams and PCSO Geraint Jones of @NWPolice for a ride-along recently where we discussed policing and crime issues in and around the #Corwen area.

Labour's historic and systematic mismanagement of our NHS is meaning people are stuck waiting in A&E for record times, waiting years for treatment and waiting far too long for ambulances.

Patients and staff in Wales can wait no longer.

Time to take some responsibility.

The Commonwealth, a family of 54 countries encompassing a third of humanity is united by an invisible thread of shared values, history and friendship.

We now pass the responsibility of Chair-in-Office to Rwanda to continue the work of the Commonwealth.

3/3 This gov will remain relentlessly focused and continue to deliver for people during a post pandemic, mid-war, global cost of living challenge which no Prime Minister or gov has faced the likes of since WW11.

2/3 However, History tells us how useless by election results are as an indication of absolutely anything at all. Margaret Thatcher would not have won 3 GEs and would have served for a very short time as PM if some of the claims I’ve heard today were based on a shred of substance

1/3 Last night was a reminder that we must be relentless in cracking on with the job of delivering. Under @BorisJohnson we are massively investing in digital infrastructure which is accelerating growth and employment in our rapidly expanding tech sectors.

Larkin and Owen are two of our finest poets. Removing their work from the curriculum is cultural vandalism.

Their work must be passed on to future generations - as it was to me. I will be speaking to the exam board to make this clear.

ICYMI @sajidjavid is right - Labour attack an improving NHS in England...but it is worse in Labour-run Wales.

1-in-5 people on a waiting list, 1-in-4 of them for over a year, and 70K waiting over two years - 3 times the number for all of England... and it's getting worse!

Dyson on Brexit ani to @timesradio: "I really do think it will work out because, you know, we're independent, we're on our own, we can control our own destiny...And I think we just have to be a bit patient about it. It's about a change of attitude."

Six years ago today the British people made the historic decision to leave the European Union, now we must take full advantage of new opportunities available to us post #Brexit. #GlobalBritain 🗳️🇬🇧
