Very disappointing to see the impact of this inconsiderate strike across the UK - disrupting children's exams, frustrating visitors and hospitality businesses, and making life harder for many already under pressure with price rises.
Some very large parts of the UK have had no trains at all running today, and it will be the same on Thursday and Saturday.
North Wales is one of them, and @MrBradleyHarris has spent the day in Llandudno, where that's causing big problems for residents and tourists alike.

Massive thank you to @OutdoorLearnin8 @RobinMillarMP @timfarron whose interventions helped the outdoor sector safely reopen centres.
This meant @YHAOfficial & partners could connect over 100000 to outdoors & nature - vital anytime. Crucial in pandemic.

A helpful outline of the #NIPBill
Introduced today - the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill will:
✅ Uphold the Belfast (Good Friday) Agreement
✅ Fix practical problems in NI
✅ Protect UK and EU markets
Update - the Competition and Markets Authority has written to me this morning to confirm it will now carry out an urgent review of the fuel market.

Fuel prices⛽️
I’ve asked the @CMAgovUK to conduct an urgent review of the retail fuel market, as well as a longer-term investigation under the Enterprise Act.
Fuel prices are always quick to go up but slow to come down - let’s see why.

Today, Parliament was honouring those who served in the Falklands War exactly 40 years ago.
Uppermost in my mind were Falklands Veterans from across the UK I have met. Those who served in the South Atlantic made an indelible contribution to our country & the interests of freedom.

“I have been humbled and deeply touched that so many people have taken to the streets to celebrate my Platinum Jubilee.”
As the #PlatinumJubilee weekend draws to a close, Her Majesty has sent a thank you message to all those who have marked her 70 years as Queen.
Well, it’s been a lovely - and very ‘golden’- couple of weeks here. A huge thank you to everyone who has visited during the last fortnight – you've been amazing. #Diolch #Thankyou from #TeamBodnant for your continued support and kind words #ntwales #ygCymru

The pergola walkway at Bodnant Garden was created by Henry Pochin, who founded the garden in 1874 and designed his arch on a grand scale. If you fancy a little post work walk under the laburnum, it’s quieter from 4.30pm until 6.30pm (last entry-open til 8) https://bit.ly/3N0NKeC

A useful - independent - observation on the 🇬🇧UK gov's package of support for pensioners to help cope with the increased cost of living.
Low-income pensioners with a disability will get £400 off their energy bill, a £650 payment for means-tested benefit recipients, a £150 payment for disability benefit recipients, a £300 top-up to their winter fuel payment, and a £150 council tax rebate. That’s £1,650 in total.
Very welcome help for #Aberconwy residents dealing with rising living costs.
