β½ It was a pleasure to welcome Sports Minister @HuddlestonNigel to the Hawthorns last week.
From supplying food packages during lockdown to inspiring younger generations through education, the Minister saw the great work that the @WBAFoundation do across West Bromwich East.

ππππ πππππππππ: Weβve introduced a new British Bill of Rights to Parliament, delivering on our manifesto commitment to overhaul the Human Rights Act.
This Bill will strengthen rights to freedom of speech, and make it difficult for criminals to appeal deportation.
Today marks 6 years since we voted to break free from the shackles of a bloated and beaurocratic European Union.
And 6 years on, weβre making the most of it: 70 new trade deals; control of our waters; and a Β£4.8bn levelling-up fund - just a few of our achievements so far.
On Friday, I was delighted to finally visit the @YCA in West Bromwich where I conducted a constituency surgery. Thank you to Ragih Muflihi for making me feel so welcome during my visit and showing me around the centre which is a real hub of the community.
The @KuumbaF are today hosting a Caribbean fundraising bake sell to mark Windrush day! Get yourself down there between 11am and 3pm and help the Sandwell African Caribbean Mental Health Foundation celebrate.
The Police can only stop crime in West Bromwich if they know about it.
Thatβs why itβs vital for you to report crime when it happens, either by calling 101 or 999 in an emergency.
Please help us to stamp out crime in West Bromwich. #ReportItStopIt
Ok @Nicola4WBE, letβs settle the WM chip debate once and for all. Where does the best chips? πππ»

One of the best parts of my job is meeting constituents, and itβs always great to see them outside of West Brom too, today in Westminster. I was delighted Jason came down today to watch Prime Minister's Questions and we had the chance to show him around the Palace.
Go home @Keir_Starmer, youβve got a text #LoveIsland
The Labour leader just told the PM that a Tory MP called him the βConservative Corbynβ.
Wait till he finds out about this guy called Keir Starmer who said: βIβm 100 per cent behind Jeremy Corbyn. I am working with Jeremy Corbyn to try to win the next general electionβ
Today is Elder #AbuseAwarenessDay and I am backing @age_uk Sandwellβs call to raise awareness and help stamp out abuse of older people.

Last week I wrote to all local businesses that participated in the competition to thank them for marking the special occasion. Thank you again to @WestBromwichTC for asking me to judge!
This afternoon we have delivered the certificates and prizes to the businesses who are the winner and runners up of our Queens Jubilee Window Dressing Competition.
Well Done to @FloristWestBrom @ShawsDirect and @Shelter

After meeting recently with Iryna, a young member of the European Solidarity Party in Ukraine, and hearing of the sacrifices being made by young Ukrainians, I asked the Secretary of State for Defence, @BWallaceMP, what more we can do to support all young people in the πΊπ¦ army.
Yesterday I had a really positive meeting with Minister Jo Churchill MP (Department for Environment, Food & Rural Affairs) and Mark Pawsey MP about new recycling and packaging legislation weβre bringing in.
Very disappointing @RMTunion are taking action that could damage the rail network after taxpayers contributed Β£16bn, Β£600 per household, to keep jobs during Covid. We're working with industry to reduce disruption caused by strikes but urge unions to come to talks with employers.
I loved your display ! It was a hard job only picking the top 3. Thanks so much for taking part and making the town look so special.
We enjoyed taking part in the @WestBromwichTC window dressing competition, as part of the Queens Jubilee Celebrations. The MP for West Bromwich East, Nicola Richards, came to see our window as part of the judging. @Nicola4WBE
Today marks 78 years since D-Day.
My Grandad arrived in Normandy with the 79th Armoured Division a few days after the D-Day landings began.
We can only imagine how terrifying it must have been for the soldiers as they waited on the landing crafts to storm the beaches.
Fantastic news and so well deserved !
We are proud to announce that we have been awarded the Queen's Award for Voluntary Service!

If a cabinet member needs to pay another councillor an extra salary to help them do their jobs, perhaps they arenβt fit for governing.
Another year, another waste of taxpayers money.

Was a pleasure to join @Battersea_ yesterday. They do fantastic work and Iβm particularly interested in using our rent reform to ensure pet owners have a fairer deal in the rental sector - leading to far less animals being given up. Also ensuring the Kept Animals Bill is passed.
Unemployment is down by 1,435 in West Bromwich East vs last year. While this is great news, the overall rate of unemployment in WBE is still above the national average (6.9% vs 4%). I will continue working hard pushing for more investment and better opportunities for all in WBE.
Sandwell is all the better for electing @amrita4sandwell - youβve done an incredible job winning Tividale and I know youβll do an even better job representing your ward. Ignore the haters Amrita, youβve got this πͺπ

Lies, disinformation and the distortion of history have been weaponised by the Russian government in its war on Ukraine.
It has attempted to justify its actions using baseless claims of βde-nazifying" Ukraine.
@KarenPollock100 @HolocaustUK explains why this is so damaging π
It was a pleasure to meet @GylesB1 today to be interviewed about being a young female MP. What an honour !
Ps. I did ask where his funky jumper was.
I'm back in Westminster today for the Queen's speech. It's time to refocus, boost the economy and help those struggling with the cost of living.

Tonight marks Yom HaShoah, the Jewish day of remembrance for the victims of the Holocaust. I've lit this #yellowcandleuk in memory of Liza Bilyk of Gritsev who was murdered at Starokonstantinov in 1942, aged just 8.
May her memory be a blessing.
I'm proud to have voted for this important legislation.

Iβm pleased weβve taken steps to help people with their rising energy costs. But Iβm disappointed Sandwell Council are making it so difficult for the 50,000 people who do not pay via Direct Debit to receive their rebate.
I'm delighted that pubs and bars will be allowed to stay open until 1am as part of the Queen's Platinum Jubilee celebrations.
A great opportunity to support all of the amazing pubs and bars we have in West Bromwich East! π»π¬π§
