Amazing weather and sense of community at the Burrough Green fete hosted by Lucy and Peter Talbot. I loved my finds at the bric a brac stall with all funds raised going to the church and ⁦@CentreEllesmere⁩. Thank you for inviting me to open such a fab event.

Delighted to join ministers from across the @OECD and @NatachaAlexander to discuss how we can work together to tackle climate change at the #OECDMinisterial meeting today

We are fast-tracking the most promising medicines, to:

✅ Alleviate pressure on the NHS & busting the Covid backlog.

✅ Get life saving drugs to patients more quickly.

Another manifesto commitment achieved.

A pleasure to attend and support the first face to face meeting of ⁦@HolocaustUK⁩ to hear the incredible story of a man who escaped Auschwitz as described in ⁦⁦@Freedland⁩ new book. It is so important that we never forget the horrors of the Holocaust.

Last week I was in Belfast listening to business leaders and it's clear that there needs to be a sustainable solution for the Northern Ireland Protocol.
It’s the UK Government’s priority to deal with the Protocol issues, and to support those businesses affected.

Financial Secretary to the Treasury @lucyfrazermp and Luxembourg’s Minister of Finance @yuriko_backes met today to sign a new Double Taxation Convention between our countries - this ensures cross-border trade and investment will continue to thrive in the future🇱🇺🇬🇧 @MinFinLux.

Tonight I will be voting to support the PM who was elected by the British people. We need to continue our work to improve the lives of those we were elected to serve & focus our energies on the challenges that face us. We will be judged on our delivery at the next election.

Beautiful service at Ely Cathedral for the Jubilee. Good to join ⁦@PCCCambs⁩ and many others to celebrate 70 years of the Queen’s reign

This week I've been working from the Darlington Economic Campus where I met new @hmtreasury staff and toured the fantastic future offices.

I also hosted a Treasury Connect at nearby @ThornLighting and popped out for lunch with @JohnGlenUK and @lucyfrazermp.

Chancellor @RishiSunak, Economic Secretary @JohnGlenUK and Financial Secretary @lucyfrazermp spent the day at the Darlington Economic Campus, where they toured the new offices and joined a Jubilee Celebration tea with staff members.

Combined with the plans we’ve already announced, we are supporting families with the cost of living to the tune of £37 billion or 1.5% of GDP.

That’s higher than countries like France, Germany, and Italy.

Search all the support: https://costoflivingsupport.campaign.gov.uk/

Speaking in @UKParliament today, Chancellor @RishiSunak announced that almost all of the eight million most vulnerable households in the country will receive at least £1200 in support to help with rising costs.

Our £22bn is aimed to those in need:
📢Extra £1k for 1.7m people via UC changes
📢Extra £1k for workers on Nat Liv Wage
📢£150 council tax rebate for 80% of households
🔜70% of UK workers (up to £36.6k salary) pay less national insurance, even after the Levy, worth up to £330

“If we could be anywhere in the country… you could then employ people from other countries too so there’s a risk as well”

Conservatives’ @lucyfrazermp discusses the possible problems of people continuing to work from home. #bbcqt

.@ONS jobs stats out today, good news in challenging times

The number of payrolled employees is at a record high

Unemployment is at its lowest level since 1975

We are helping people keep more of what they earn and supporting them with £22bn to help with household bills

Carbon leakage is a global problem that needs a global solution as we transition to Net Zero.Alongside our international efforts, the UK intends to launch a consultation later this year on possible domestic options so we are ready to take action if needed.https://questions-statements.parliament.uk/written-statements/detail/2022-05-16/hcws26

Today was a different ‘day in the office’ as we were joined by Policing Minister @kitmalthouse.

He was keen to hear about the work we’re doing to tackle knife crime, before joining us on patrol in #Peterborough and visiting our recruitment event in Cathedral Square.

@PCCCambs

Enough is enough. I’ve prepared a package of sanctions against @nusuk following concerning incidents over many years. Disappointed it has come to this but proud to stand up for Jewish students. NUS will not have a seat at the table until we see real change https://www.thetimes.co.uk/article/government-severs-ties-with-nus-over-antisemitic-rot-at-its-heart-m28gqsgd5

Growing the economy is one of the best ways to help with the cost of living and that’s why I’m pleased today’s figures show the UK economy is continuing to grow.

The economy is now bigger than it was before Covid hit, and growing faster than the US, Germany, France, and Italy.

Fantastic to give the opening keynote at the J5 summit, a ground breaking alliance which fights global tax crime and money laundering. Together we continue to show criminals our resolve is unwavering #J5taxcrime 🇬🇧🇺🇸🇨🇦🇦🇺🇳🇱

Thanks to all the teachers from @WitchfordVC @LVCollege @ElyCollege Impington Village College and Soham Village College for bringing their talented students to Parliament for our annual debating competition. Congrats to our winners Reece, Charlotte and Phoebe and their teams! 🥳

Putin's war on Ukraine drives up global fossil fuel prices, making the world's move to clean energy harder.

The Coalition of Finance Ministers for Climate Action met today to discuss how we can continue to meet our green goals. Our collective action has never been more vital.

As the world continues to isolate Russia in response to their illegal war on Ukraine, @HMRCgovuk is set to revoke the UK's recognition of the Moscow Stock Exchange

We could not be any clearer: there is zero case for new investments in Russia.

Today I met my friend President @ZelenskyyUa in Kyiv as a show of our unwavering support for the people of Ukraine.

We're setting out a new package of financial & military aid which is a testament of our commitment to his country's struggle against Russia’s barbaric campaign.

Great to chat to @MathiasCormann @OECD about our joint priorities, including making sure multinationals pay the right tax in the right places, and action through the tax system to respond to Russia’s invasion of Ukraine.

Fantastic to read the stories based on Greek myths written by students at @kettlefields primary. And so difficult to judge the year 5 & 6 debate as the contributions were all so good! Thank you for an excellent visit yesterday.

I sat down with @MrPeterAndre, @AmberRoseGill, @CarolVorders, @RosieDuffield1 and others across sport, fashion, TV and music to discuss the good, the bad and downright ugly world of social media 👹💻

This morning I met with Israeli Finance Minister @AvigdorLiberman to discuss our ambitious UK-Israel Free Trade Agreement.

I also offered my condolences over last night's terror attack and assured him that the UK stands with the people of Israel against terrorism.

🇬🇧🇺🇦 Over 4,000 NLAWs
🇬🇧🇺🇦Javelin anti-tank systems
🇬🇧🇺🇦 Starstreak missiles

It's of huge importance to me personally and professionally, that we take all the steps available to ensure the UK's tax system backs our efforts to bring an end to this war.

Read my piece in @CityAM today on how our tax system is doing just that https://www.cityam.com/economic-sanctions-must-be-backed-up-tax-regime-isolate-kremlin/

Whilst cash should continue to be donated to @decappeal or other charities where possible, today we eased customs so donated goods going from GB to Ukraine can get there faster – taking effect immediately, goods will face fewer and simpler customs checks https://www.gov.uk/guidance/taking-humanitarian-aid-out-of-great-britain-to-support-ukraine

Thank you President @ZelenskyyUa for delivering one of the most moving and important speeches the House of Commons has ever witnessed.

We stand behind you, your people and your country to ensure Putin’s invasion fails and Ukraine can be free once again

This #InternationalWomensDay I’m thinking of my grandmother, whose parents came to the UK to escape persecution in Russia

An incredible person who, alongside women all around the world, are leaving trails of inspiration for the next generation https://www.elystandard.co.uk/news/lucy-frazer-remembers-grandma-on-international-womens-day-8738528
