Today, I raised concerns with @kimleadbeater during the Third Reading of the Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill about how we ensure that individuals with disabilities, neurodiversity, mental health issues and other medical conditions are protected and not coerced. I will…

Down to Westminster tomorrow for the Assisted Dying debate. The evidence is increasingly clear that the bill is a threat to vulnerable people. Almost half of those who opt for AD in Oregon do so because they fear ‘being a burden’. The bill is illiberal and inhumane.

I recently had a productive meeting with the Economic Secretary to the Treasury, @EmmaforWycombe, to discuss banking hubs and access to cash in rural communities. I will continue to advocate for measures that support rural businesses and residents.

Today I paid tribute to Sir Roy Stone. His unique role in coordinating parliamentary business and his dedication to both government and opposition were unparalleled. Sir Roy's commitment to his family and country will always be remembered.

Rest in peace, Sir Roy Stone.

Politics & details aside, today's trade deal with the US is testament to the patient, mediation-led approach @Keir_Starmer & his team have taken to the US over recent months. Quiet diplomacy has led the UK to the front of the queue.

Today we remember the courage, sacrifice and unity that brought victory in Europe 80 years ago.

On #VEDay, we honour those who served, fought and gave their lives for our freedom.

We will remember them. 🇬🇧

Lord Hague of Richmond will serve as the next Chancellor of University of Oxford, having won a majority of support in the final round of voting for the post.

Lord Hague becomes the 160th recorded Chancellor in the University’s history, a role that dates back at least 800 years.

As MPs prepare to vote on whether to legalise “Assisted Dying”, I have today written to all Members of Parliament to set out my concerns. This is what I said:

The Conservative Party I lead is united in its opposition to Labour’s Family Farm Tax.

Britain cannot survive without it’s farmers. We will fight to get this cruel tax reversed.

Yesterday I visited Kirkby Malzeard to see the progress on the essential work by @YorkshireWater to address the drainage issue caused by a sinkhole. I urged Yorkshire Water to minimise disruption for residents & businesses.

The Budget changes to Agricultural Property Relief and Business Property Relief risk the future of family farms here in North Yorkshire & across the UK, threatening food security and rural life. Anyone in any position, in any organisation has a duty to report & rigorously follow up on any safeguarding concerne they hear about. Victims of child abuse deserve relentless effort by those who suspect or who have knowledge.

If MPs vote for something they are uncertain about they have no guarantee what reaches statute books will be better. False to ease conscience by pointing to low survival rate of PMBs - that's if they have no govt support. Statistics suggest at best a 90 min debate in Committee.… https://x.com/i/web/status/1856253935570260191
