I met with representatives from the Office of Rail and Road to discuss local issues surrounding Network Rail and Highways England, it was a good opportunity for me to raise local concerns with the regulator. I will continue to monitor these matters closely.

Yesterday I met with the Canal and River Trust in Parliament to celebrate their 10th anniversary of being a guardian of our nation’s waterways.

This afternoon I welcomed @chesterzoo to Parliament to discuss the vital conservation and animal welfare work they undertake to prevent extinction. We also discussed some brilliant opportunities for schools in my constituency to get involved in.

PC Andrew Harper was killed protecting the public. Today, Harper's Law, named in his honour, comes into force which introduces mandatory life sentences for those who unlawfully kill emergency workers in the line of duty.

Yesterday I visited @betterstoke community garden called A-MAIZE-ING GROW at Our Lady & St Werburgh’s Catholic Primary School in Clayton to cut the ribbon as their patron and officially open the gardens with @AaronBell4NUL.

This afternoon I attended the Women's Multicultural Resource Centre launch event by Women of Justice Arise who are a charity that works with refugee and BAME women who have experienced sexual and/or domestic violence.

I recently attended the @BreastCancerNow event to hear about their campaign to establish an ambitious target for how long it should take to have breast cancer diagnosed. It was also interesting to hear about how the COVID-19 Pandemic effected and continues to effect diagnoses.’

I recently spoke about Abbey Hulton in Parliament when I spoke in the chamber about the local bus company deciding to cut back on the Number 5 Bus Service.

Visited Wakefield earlier today to support our @Conservatives candidate @cllrnadeemahmed. Stopped off at one of the pubs in Wakefield afterwards for a well earned bit of lunch.
