It’s so important we stick to our manifesto commitment to ban conversion therapy for the trans community too. I’ll keep working with colleagues to help make this a reality #PrideMonth https://inews.co.uk/news/theresa-may-boris-johnson-trans-conversion-therapy-1716868

🇬🇧🇫🇰 40 years ago today, British forces liberated the Falkland Islands.

We will never forget the bravery & sacrifices made to protect the Islanders' right to live in peace, to choose their own way of life & determine their own future.

I wish you all a very happy #LiberationDay.

The UK Shared Prosperity Fund confirms the UK Government’s commitment to level up communities across Wales 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿

I have outlined my thoughts on why the Welsh Government must work with the UK Government to ensure that this funding is spent effectively 👇

A reminder: the jubilee has nothing to do with your personal politics. It’s about celebrating Britishness, it’s about unity. You don’t need to think that everything about Britain is wonderful, just that being British is wonderful and that the Queen’s reign has been remarkable.

🚨Today is election day in #Bridgend and #Porthcawl.

🔵Good luck to all our excellent Conservative candidates. They have shown real passion for the communities they seek to represent.

🗳A vote for your local Conservatives means LOWER council tax and HIGH-QUALITY local services.

The whole quote:

"We all know that this is a Welsh Government that likes to take its ultra-left-wing policy ideas straight from the middle pages of the Morning Star, but this is quite something else."

Never been ashamed to stand up for our crucial Welsh tourism sector!

The Conservatives called on the Welsh Government to abandon their 'ultra-left-wing' tourism tax in Wales.

At my Westminster Hall Debate on the Computer Misuse Act 1990, I argued that it is time for an urgent review of this act.
The need for this debate has become more urgent of late. The invasion of Ukraine has placed a spotlight on the pressing need to strengthen our cyber-security.

Happy 96th Birthday to Her Majesty The Queen.

Her Majesty has dedicated 70 years of faultless service to our country and the Commonwealth 🇬🇧

Back out on the campaign trail this morning, this time in Pen-y-Fai, campaigning for our candidate, @ToryEdwards_.

Thanks also to @JamieWallisMP, @AltafHussainSWW & the rest of our wonderful team of volunteers for coming along too @WelshConserv 🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿🇬🇧

1/ Since arriving in the UK, I have been made to feel more welcome than I ever could have imagined, in both London and our home in North Yorkshire.

This is a wonderful country.

1/ I’m bitterly disappointed at the Government’s decision not to include gender identity in the ban on conversion therapy. Many have asked what my thoughts are. I’ve always believed that this debate attracts unnecessary hysteria and toxicity, and...

This week has been monumental for me personally.

My inbox has been overwhelmed by supportive messages, especially from my constituents. This support is a reminder of the best part of my job, the people of Bridgend and Porthcawl.

My priority remains serving my constituents.

BREAKING NEWS: The #DownSyndromeBill completed its @UKHouseofLords stages today. The Bill has now been passed in both Houses of @UKParliament, meaning it will receive Royal Assent and become an Act. It was excellent to meet with @CR_UK In Parliament to celebrate 20 years of Cancer Research UK. I’m proud to be supporting the next 20 years of research. #TogetherWeWillBeatCancer

I've had lots of questions regarding my pronouns etc. Please read the following statement clarifying some of the points raised 👇

The invasion of 🇺🇦 has put a spotlight on our need to strengthen cyber security. I have written to the PM to enquire about the progress in reviewing the Computer Misuse Act 1990.

Existing legislation must be updated to reflect the technological landscape we live in today.

The steps we are taking to sanction Russia are not cost free for us at home: the biggest impact will be on the cost of living for working families.

Todays statement builds a stronger, more secure UK economy.

At this week's sitting of the Welsh Affairs Select Committee, I raised the topic of community-owned renewable energy ⚡.

Community-owned renewable energy produces renewable energy at a local level, whilst creating the possibility of a price reduction on energy bills 📉.

I recently met with @Sarcoma_UK to hear about the work they are doing on sarcoma diagnosis.

We must do more to improve the speed at which sarcoma is diagnosed and give every single person with sarcoma the best chance of survival.

Bravo @DavidTCDavies!

🇬🇧 has led the world in humanitarian aid for Ukraine.

🇬🇧 has supplied weapons that are stalling Russian armoured columns.

Meanwhile, Bray and assorted remoaners have been chuntering nonsense in an attempt to score points.

I challenged the FM on his refusal to hold a Wales specific COVID inquiry.

Time and time again, the Welsh Government have asserted they're the decision-makers in Wales. But their refusal for a Wales specific inquiry is a case of wanting responsibility without accountability.

🧪Repeats criticism of UK government's "unilateral decision" to dismantle UK-wide Covid testing regime

🇬🇧🏴󠁧󠁢󠁷󠁬󠁳󠁿@JamieWallisMP asks why no separate Welsh public inquiry: "Is it a case of wanting responsibility but not accountability?"

The United Kingdom is facing a rising threat of cyber-attacks, heightened by recent Russian aggression 🌐.

I asked the Foreign Secretary @trussliz, if Britain will show the world that we are willing and ready to retaliate to cyber-attacks on our country 🇬🇧.

This week, I signed the Book of Solidarity for #Ukraine on behalf of Bridgend and Porthcawl 🇺🇦

I am proud to have signed the Book of Solidarity alongside fellow Members of Parliament to show our united support for the Ukrainian people.

In the light of 🇷🇺 invasion of 🇺🇦, we must unlock our national cyber-defence to protect the United Kingdom from cyber-attacks.

I was pleased to hear the Minister confirm that the Home Office is currently reviewing suggested reforms to the Computer Misuse Act.

Today we announced further humanitarian support for Ukraine🇺🇦

~ A family scheme so Ukrainians in the UK can bring their wider family here

Putin must fail, and we will work with our allies to achieve this.

Today we celebrate all things Welsh from our fantastic culture to our beautiful landscape across Wales. #StDavidsDay

Thank you to @JamieWallisMP for raising the need for #ComputerMisuseAct reform in the House of Commons today. Minister @DamianHinds - nice to hear you recognise the importance of the Home Office review, but after 9 months, isn't it time for action?

This evening I spoke to President @ZelenskyyUa. The heroism of the President and his people in the defence of their country is awe-inspiring.

We are clear – Russia must be isolated diplomatically and financially. I welcome increased willingness to exclude Russia from SWIFT.

As the @WelshConserv Shadow Minister for Culture, I’ve written to @Ofcom asking them to remove broadcasting licence the Kremlin-funded Russia Today news channel.

RT isn’t objective, it just spins Putin’s false narrative on his war, and needs to be taken off our TV screens.

This week, I asked @SteveBarclay what steps the Government are taking to strengthen the UK’s cyber resilience.

The UK is facing a rising threat of cyber warfare with Russia. Businesses and organisations across the United Kingdom must be prepared for hostile cyber-attacks.

Russia’s assault on #Ukraine is an unprovoked, premeditated attack on a sovereign democratic state.

Now is the time to not hold back. I look forward to the Prime Minister’s statement in the House of Commons later today as we stand on the side of the Ukrainian people.

I am appalled by the horrific events in Ukraine and I have spoken to President Zelenskyy to discuss next steps.

President Putin has chosen a path of bloodshed and destruction by launching this unprovoked attack on Ukraine.

The UK and our allies will respond decisively.

Russia’s recognition of the Donetsk People’s Republic and Luhansk People’s Republic as independent states shows flagrant disregard for Russia’s commitments under the Minsk agreements.

The UK must not allow Russia’s violation of its international commitments to go unpunished.

Kremlin-backed hackers have long been using Ukraine as a Petri dish for cyberwar experiments. Now, as tensions on the borders are escalating, we must prepare not just for a military incursion, but for a whole new form of hybrid warfare.

Apprenticeships are a great way to kickstart a career.

From delivering life-saving care in hospitals to helping us deliver the skilled workforce this country needs, apprentices are a cornerstone of the Government’s plans to level up the country.
