I am devastated to hear that my friend, Sir David Amess MP, has passed away. My thoughts are with his family and friends at this terrible time.

The past 18 months have been tough for us all. It is more important than ever to know what support is available if you need help.

You never have to feel alone.

It was great to get back to a face-to-face #CPC21 this year. I had the chance to meet with charities and colleagues who I have spoken to virtually throughout the pandemic.

Thank you for talking to me about how we can support the people of South West Hertfordshire together.

I had the pleasure of knowing James Brokenshire throughout my time in politics. He was a charming gentleman who was always available to give advice and direction.

A great loss to his family, his country and our Party. My thoughts are with Cathy and his family. RIP James.

Sunday evening’s Housing Industry Reception was an opportunity for industry leaders to share views on priorities & strategies. The industry faces real challenges but has the vision, energy & talent to meet them. Thanks to @Ben_Everitt and @ChrisPincher for sharing their insights.

As the daughter of Indian immigrants I was appalled at @UKLabour race-baiting leaflet during the Batley and Spen by-election.

By trying to paint @BorisJohnson as too close to the Prime Minister of India, Labour knew exactly what they were doing.

How can we create jobs, support high streets, improve skills, unlock investment and promote regeneration across the UK?

I've agreed more flexibility in testing for hauliers travelling from the UK to France 🚚. From 11pm tonight, Lorries returning to France from UK having spent less than 48hrs in the UK will NO LONGER require a Coronavirus test. See this + other changes:

Fantastic to join @nhsuk staff as a covid vaccine volunteer this weekend at @graveshambc. 💉💉💉

The vaccine roll out is in full flow so it’s really important we get our communities vaccinated and protected from the virus.

Amazing work by @nadhimzahawi and @MattHancock 🙏

Delighted that we've already exceeded our target to recruit 6,000 more police officers by March.

I want to thank every police force for supporting our great national effort to recruit 20,000 more officers.

Many are out on our streets right now keeping our communities safe.

I am marking #HolocaustMemorialDay by lighting a candle to #LightTheDarkness. Join me and people across the country by lighting a candle in your window.

It is our duty to stand against hatred and prejudice to prevent the same human suffering from happening again.

Today is National Police Memorial Day when we remember the sisters and brothers, mums and dads, friends and colleagues, killed doing their duty to us since 1792.

There have been too many.

We salute and remember them this day with profound gratitude.

Response to @jamieoliver’s letter on trade deals…

1. We are not planning to negotiate trade deals that harm farmers and consumers. Suggesting otherwise is entirely misleading.

Honoured to be through to the second round of #WTODG selection process. I look forward to continuing to campaign on the issues that matter to @wto members and making the case for global free trade. My sincere thanks to those have supported my campaign so far. #LiamFoxForWTO
