Congratulations to Helen Hurford, the Conservative parliamentary candidate for the #Tiverton & #Honiton by-election. Born in Tiverton, a former headteacher and now a local business owner in Honiton, Helen will be a great MP for all the communities in the constituency.

Great to see @GBRailfreight launch their new hybrid Class 99 locomotives. Each train could reduce carbon emissions by 585,000 tonnes per year, supporting our path to net-zero.

Fantastic to meet West Dorset apprentices working at @Leonardo_UK with @GerryGrimstone last week. Young people from Dorset are working at the forefront of increasing exports, investment and social value for UK trade and manufacturing.

Western media has focused on the units and high-tech weaponry on the front lines in Ukraine.

But the Ukrainian railway network, the Ukrzaliznytsia, has been as crucial as any battalion

I've pushed again for DfE to help the Gryphon School with greatly needed funding the replace dilapidated classrooms

President Zelenskyy will address the House of Commons via video tomorrow at 5pm. This is unprecedented, heads of state or government usually address members of both Houses in Royal Gallery and Westminster Hall.

The Ukrainian Ambassador
@UkrEmbLondon was extremely grateful to everyone in West Dorset for our help when I met him tonight in @UKParliament, especially to @POWFS when I showed him your photos. These humanitarian aid efforts are so kind. Thank you. @Nelkcarps

I have been in communication with our Local MP - @ChrisLoder. He is meeting the Ukrainian Ambassador later and will be sharing the photos of our work.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words - our photos show that #WeStandWithUkraine.

God be gracious to us and bless us
and make his face to shine upon us,
That your way may be known upon earth,
your saving power among all nations @DioSalisbury

For local people asking why I don’t want eagles in Dorset, killing our lambs and plaguing our farmers…. These pictures say a thousand words, but this very insightful article will explain.

Cressida Dick has had politicians like Ed Davey call on her to resign before without a shred of evidence. This lady presided over a police force that has record terrorism response times. Literally minutes to respond to Borough Market. No one called for her to resign then.

The generosity of a kind local man has shown up the commercially ruthless @FirstGroupplc who threaten Dorset Council for money, and will pull bus services if they don’t pay up, just like the No6.

This photograph has been released to mark Accession Day 2022: the 70th anniversary of Her Majesty’s reign and the start of her #PlatinumJubilee year. #HM70

Her Majesty The Queen acceded to the throne 70 years ago, #onthisday in 1952. She is the longest-reigning monarch in British history and the first to celebrate a #PlatinumJubilee.

This portrait of The Queen wearing her State dress and robe in the Abbey is by Ralph Heimans.

✍️ On the eve of the 70th anniversary of her Accession to the throne, The Queen has written a message thanking the public and her family for their support, and looking forward to #PlatinumJubilee celebrations over the coming year. #HM70

Head office of RMT closed on Wed amid concerns for staff safety because of a protest outside the building over internal dispute - statement by @RMTunion

I followed up my question from yesterday, asking the Rail Minister to explain how SWR was allowed to sever the South West from London

"I chose the Level 1 in Construction as it covers a range of trades to learn and gives me a starting point for later life," said 16-year-old Bradley Bealing "I particularly enjoy the plumbing and brickwork because it's hands-on work."

Today I've been successful with forcing a u-turn on SWR's timetable to reconnect Dorchester, Sherborne and the region with direct trains to London Waterloo, with the PM's support @ABCommuters

Today I pressed for long-needed refurbishments for temporary classrooms at @GryphonSchool - that I was taught in myself 25 years ago! I will keep working to make sure we get the solutions we need.

A proud moment for us this week as the @tweet_kmc @KMC_CCF receive a plaque as part of the expansion programme and also their berets as we formally affiliate with the Royal Wessex Yeomanry. Huge respect and lots of hard work too - outstanding drill. @BritishArmy @WRFCA #Dorset

I recently spoke in the House about the @CommonsTrans report on smart motorways - I am pleased our report was so well received by Govt and that we can take the steps needed to make sure smart motorways are safe.

The @TheMelplashShow is definitely one of our favourite events!

My mission is now to restore decency, honour and trust to our Government. My column in today’s @telegraph!preferred/0/package/820/pub/820/page/9/article/251966

'Dorset top of booster jab ratings'

Earlier this week I made clear that Dorset deserves to have its fair share in the levelling-up agenda:

A privilege to welcome personnel to Parliament after their service evacuating people from Afghanistan - inspiring people who risked their lives to bring others to safety.

Today I asked ministers to look into getting more walk-in vaccine centres for booster jabs in West Dorset:

Today I asked the Defence Secretary about ensuring UK defence manufacture innovation, which will work to support local jobs in Yeovil with Leonardo helicopters

Today I was delighted to speak in support of @chrisloder’s Bill which will increase the maximum sentence for animal cruelty to five years.
