The Government has confirmed "that 6% of sales by boiler manufacturers must be heat pumps or they will be forced to pay a fee for each missed installation."
Another dystopian move to a communist command economy.
Why isn't the series of suspicious packages and controlled explosions leading the news on the bbc. Why is the top story COP talks?

Today, we remember the Holodomor, Stalin’s intentional famine that killed millions of Ukrainians. We reaffirm our support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity as it defends its freedom against Russia’s aggression.
Labour give £310m to the WHO and £500m to foreign farmers while pushing our pensioners into poverty and bankrupting our farmers.

British companies face a stealth tax rise of £900mn next year and up to £2.7bn in 2026 through higher business rates, despite Labour’s manifesto promise not to increase the amount of cash raised by the levy
Britain should quit the International Criminal Court. The US isn’t a member, and for good reason. The ICC has become totally politicised, straying far from its original mission.
Lib Dem Louise Spence’s Energy Performance Certificate for moving house is dated Nov 11th - during the by-election in Edinburgh.
At that point she was criticising a rival for not living in the ward while planning a move herself.
She quit today.

City Steve doesn’t seem to have had much of an interest in farming before he became DEFRA secretary of state, and even less of one now.
And he was the Prime Minister’s choice to head up our nations food security agenda.
Labour’s arrogance is frightening.
Exc: Kemi Badenoch has appointed her LOTO team
Ex-minister Lee Rowley will serve as her chief of staff and former Boris Johnson adviser Henry Newman as deputy

Don’t tweak it- scrap it !
With all the caveats about local council by elections it was a bad night for the Lib Dems last night losing three seats to the Tories and coming close to losing a fourth. Labour’s losses can be explained by being in government, Lib Dem losses a bit harder to explain.
Well done to Neil on his stonking victory - a 21% swing from the Lib Dems to the Conservatives! 👏
RT @cj_dinenage: It’s a worry when this cut and paste Government don’t even know where their RAF bases are.

If Boris has 100 in the bag why is his Campaign putting out pics of him begging for votes ?
My view is that the best candidate to lead the Conservative Party is Rishi @RishiSunak and I am happy to nominate him for the contest.
It is clearly time for the Prime Minister to accept he has lost the confidence of the Parliamentary Party and go with dignity. I have submitted a letter to Graham Brady MP calling for a change in rules and a ballot .
Although a secret ballot , i intend to vote no in the confidence vote this evening.

I suspect the "not before dates" which were probably agreed to get PHE support will become a rod for Govts back as things improve and Govt try to stick to an inflexible timetable.
Roadmap better than expected but one big problem its the "not before dates" if this exercise is Data driven then lifting dates should go forward as well as back at moment ratchet is one way !
#UnlockInn let’s vaccinate and get our pubs and hospitality open for Easter .
The problem the PM has is if he avoids Parliamentary scrutiny is the issue starts to be one of leadership.
