The Government has confirmed "that 6% of sales by boiler manufacturers must be heat pumps or they will be forced to pay a fee for each missed installation."

Another dystopian move to a communist command economy.

So proud of my incredible husband @paulbristow79 for securing the nomination as the @Conservatives Mayoral candidate for Cambridgeshire and Peterborough - bring on May 2025!!!

Today, we remember the Holodomor, Stalin’s intentional famine that killed millions of Ukrainians. We reaffirm our support for Ukraine’s sovereignty and territorial integrity as it defends its freedom against Russia’s aggression.

Labour give £310m to the WHO and £500m to foreign farmers while pushing our pensioners into poverty and bankrupting our farmers.

Whose side are they on?

British companies face a stealth tax rise of £900mn next year and up to £2.7bn in 2026 through higher business rates, despite Labour’s manifesto promise not to increase the amount of cash raised by the levy

Britain should quit the International Criminal Court. The US isn’t a member, and for good reason. The ICC has become totally politicised, straying far from its original mission.

Lib Dem Louise Spence’s Energy Performance Certificate for moving house is dated Nov 11th - during the by-election in Edinburgh.

At that point she was criticising a rival for not living in the ward while planning a move herself.

She quit today.

The French 75 — Meet the Rapid-Fire Field Gun That Changed Warfare

“Groundbreaking technology enabled the gun to fire up to 20 rounds per minute, a rate unheard of at the time.”

RT @kevin_j_foster: Bizarre to have a by-election winner quit within a week of winning. The Lib Dems, not the taxpayer, should pick up the…

City Steve doesn’t seem to have had much of an interest in farming before he became DEFRA secretary of state, and even less of one now.

And he was the Prime Minister’s choice to head up our nations food security agenda.

Labour’s arrogance is frightening.

Exc: Kemi Badenoch has appointed her LOTO team

Ex-minister Lee Rowley will serve as her chief of staff and former Boris Johnson adviser Henry Newman as deputy

With all the caveats about local council by elections it was a bad night for the Lib Dems last night losing three seats to the Tories and coming close to losing a fourth. Labour’s losses can be explained by being in government, Lib Dem losses a bit harder to explain.

RT @cj_dinenage: It’s a worry when this cut and paste Government don’t even know where their RAF bases are.

I’m upset about the lack of i…

The ban on new drilling in the North Sea is the most bonkers decision of the Labour Government we will all be poorer and dependent on more despots for our oil !

I pay Aviva just under 1k for comprehensive car insurance have just been quoted 2.4K for next year -have had some constituents complain ! In a year of low inflation how can this be justified ? Is it time for Competition commission to look at Insurance companies !

My view is that the best candidate to lead the Conservative Party is Rishi @RishiSunak and I am happy to nominate him for the contest.

It is clearly time for the Prime Minister to accept he has lost the confidence of the Parliamentary Party and go with dignity. I have submitted a letter to Graham Brady MP calling for a change in rules and a ballot .

Very disappointed that the Prime Minister sacked Laurence Robinson MP as a trade envoy for voting against Plan B and it was right thing to do an MP with Principles and well respected !

Sir David Amess was a committed Constituency MP and loved Parliament , he was very good natured and always smiling .All his friends will be praying for him and his family.

I suspect the "not before dates" which were probably agreed to get PHE support will become a rod for Govts back as things improve and Govt try to stick to an inflexible timetable.

Roadmap better than expected but one big problem its the "not before dates" if this exercise is Data driven then lifting dates should go forward as well as back at moment ratchet is one way !

I have told Health Secretary that both urban and rural Dorset are bitterly disappointed to be in tier 2 . I am not happy this could last until next April so I am likely to vote against next Tuesday.
