I raised with the Prime Minister Hackney’s desperate need for more social housing. Everyone deserves a safe and comfortable place to call home.

It was fantastic to mark the renaming of London’s Overground lines at the official launch at Dalston Junction.

It’s a celebration of London’s rich history and will make it easier for Londoners and visitors to navigate the network.

Big news for London’s transport network! Earlier today at Dalston Junction station, the London Overground was officially renamed. @MayorofLondon @Meg_HillierMP @HackneyLabour @carowoodley @SarahWoodberryD @Semakaleng

It was great to meet students from @PoliticsBridge as part of #UKParliamentWeek – the future of Hackney is in safe hands.

Seven years since the Grenfell tragedy and many in Hackney still live in housing with unsafe cladding. Their lives are in limbo. I’ll keep fighting for faster action to fix this issue.

Today I again raised the need for Valerie’s Law in Parliament. Those who face domestic violence should all be treated with support and care regardless of ethnic or cultural background. I will continue to fight for justice for Valerie and her infant daughter.
