Thank you to @JessPhillips and @UKParlEducation for supporting our #youngleaders of tomorrow!

I was incredibly proud to speak Bethany Rae Fields' name at Prime Minister’s questions today in Parliament.

Bethany was murdered outside her workplace in 2019 by her ex-partner. Bethany approached the police multiple times before her murder and this brutal killing should never… https://x.com/i/web/status/1856775389424881760

“I just want to do something about this”
Queen Camilla’s words in a new @ITV documentary on her efforts to combat violence against women and girls.

The Home Office’s treatment of the Windrush generation shamed our country. We will make sure the voices of the Windrush community are heard and systemic changes are made.

It is time for a fundamental re-set. It is time to right the wrongs of Windrush.

Once this trial is over, Gisele Pelicot should receive every honour in France and the International Women’s award. What she says about shame shouldn’t need saying but she’s used her darkest hours and a global spotlight to do so. She’s extraordinary.

Cracking on trying to make things work again. Pretty pleased along with @YvetteCooperMP and the Home Office team that we are just trying our best in difficult circumstances to just crack on.

This woman deserves the Nobel peace prize. I will never not be bowled over by the courage she has shown, the resilience, the strength to use her pain to highlight the plight of so many other women.

No woman should ever face harassment or intimidation for going to a healthcare appointment.

Nearly ten years ago in Opposition, I called on the Government to introduce buffer zones round abortion clinics.

Now in Government we are acting. On 31 October, it will become the law.

After numerous false dawns, safe access zones finally becoming reality within next month.

Ealing introduced first ever one and has led the way. Women up and down the country will now have same protections

📢 Protection zones around abortion clinics to be in force throughout the country to protect women from intimidation and harassment.

From 31 October, attempts to influence the decisions of abortion service users or employees within a 150m radius of a clinic will become illegal.

We're delighted with today's announcement from @ukhomeoffice that safe access zones around abortion clinics will be brought into force next month. Our staff and patients deserve the protection of the law. Nobody deserves to be harassed when accessing medical care. #BackOff
