🏳️‍🌈Great to hear many of my @UKLabour colleagues speak in the #50YearsofPride debate in Parliament today.

We must continue to stand up for LGBTQ+ rights in the UK and around the world.

On the 50th anniversary of #pride roll back of #LGBT rights are happening right now. Equality is not a one way street - it can and is being reversed at home and abroad.

Now is the time for us to wake from comfortable complacency to stand up for everyone in our big LGBT family.

Every week constituents tell me about the difficulties they face accessing GP appointments.

If the government really wants to all they can to solve this crisis, they can start by unleashing the potential of community pharmacists, who could free up to 40 million GP appointments.

✂️Workers are facing their biggest pay cut in years, as this Tory inflation crisis spirals out of control.

It's time to demand a fair pay rise and a new deal for working people.

#OnThisDay in 1969, LGBT+ people resisted a police raid at the Stonewall Inn in New York, sparking the #Pride movement.

It's so important we celebrate LGBT+ history in this country too.

My thanks to Joseph Galliano for showing me around the excellent @QueerBritain museum.

🛂Over 35,000 people waiting over ten weeks for a passport this year.

⚖️Backlog in crown courts up 25% over the past five years.

Welcome to Boris Johnson's #BacklogBritain

📈With inflation at a 40-year high, people are experiencing the greatest squeeze on their living standards in a generation.

Workers have every right to demand better.

This is a Tory cost of living crisis - and it's their job to fix it.

Under the Tories' inflation crisis, working people are facing the biggest pay cut in years.

They have every right to fight for a fair pay rise and decent conditions.

Working people must not pay the price for Tory failure. https://twitter.com/LouHaigh/status/1539250212472078337

Louise Haigh @LouHaigh

Rail workers kept our country going during the pandemic.

They deserve fair pay and respect.

Grant Shapps should get around the table with them and resolve this dispute.

"The government's move to replace skilled and safety-critical workers on strike is deliberately inflammatory. It is also a reckless threat to public safety," writes @justinmadders as proposals for breaking strikes using agency workers are published: https://labourlist.org/2022/06/breaking-strikes-using-agency-workers-is-recklessly-gambling-with-public-safety/

🏘️Last week, I attended a meeting for residents of Nauls Mill House, following the fire that took place in the block of flats in April: https://www.itv.com/news/central/2022-04-16/people-evacuated-from-high-rise-flats-following-severe-fire-in-coventry

👩🏿‍⚕️ People in Coventry North West tell me every week about the difficulties they have accessing GP surgeries.

This government must finally deliver a plan that lives up to the dedication of our NHS staff, providing GPs and others with the resources they need to do their job.

🖼️ It was so lovely to stop by and see the 'Quilt of Love and Hope' that was displayed at Coventry Cathedral over the weekend.

The quilt is made up of patches contributed by grandparents who are estranged from their grandchildren.

Tonight we celebrated 50 years of Pride with some of our fantastic LGBT+ MPs in Parliament.

Wonderful to be joined by @simonlightwood too who was sworn in as the newest LGBT+ Labour MP just this afternoon!

On #ArmedForcesDay, I want to thank our Armed Forces communities.

From deployments abroad in response to the invasion of Ukraine to deployments at home during the COVID pandemic, our Armed Forces are essential to our national defence, as well as our national resilience.

☕Thank you all of the local residents who came along to our Coundon Coffee afternoon today at St George's Church!

This is a devastating step backwards for women's rights in the United States.

Every woman who needs one should have the right to a safe and legal abortion.

Solidarity with every woman affected by this cruel decision. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/world-us-canada-61928898

Oliver has resigned because he can no longer defend the indefensible.

He’s been so busy fighting fires in the Tory Party that he never once replied to my letters.

I’d like to wish Oliver all the best for the future. I’ll be forwarding all my correspondence to his successor. https://twitter.com/OliverDowden/status/1540191893258207232

Oliver Dowden @OliverDowden

My letter of resignation to the Prime Minister.

This evening we were so pleased to present @UKLabour Party certificates of Merit to two of our longest serving and greatest members, Frances Crane and Malcolm Laydon, in honour of their immense contribution to both our CLP and our wider Party.

Please do come along and raise any issues or problems with me!

Since Russia's illegal invasion of Ukraine in February, countless families have been displaced, with some of these people being given refuge in the UK through the Homes for Ukraine scheme.

🚨 @hopenothate are under attack by #TommyRobinson and #BritainFirst. They’re ambushing their supporters, family members, and making unfounded complaints to the police.

Can you help by chipping into their crowdfunder to deal with the security threats? 👇🏿

Thank you so much all involved @birminghamcg22 for the opportunity and all who came down last Sunday 🔥🔥🔥 Our 1st @fridayscoventry outdoor event and it went 🔥🔥🔥 we had food, boxing, wheelchair basketball, football, badminton and more sports activities along side raffle

The Windrush generation helped build Britain.

But the Tories' hostile environment left many homeless, jobless and without healthcare. Victims are still waiting for the justice and compensation they deserve.

Windrush descendent @DavidLammy tells their story. #WindrushDay

We have a Prime Minister who wants people to believe that we are all the same, that things can’t change.

All I would say to the people of Britain is this:

Judge the Conservatives on their record and judge Labour on ours.
