Our Mayor @SadiqKhan has spent two years standing up for Londoners while Boris Johnson’s Tory Government shamelessly holds TfL and our city to ransom.

The result?
📈 Higher fares
🚍 Bus routes cut

Tell the Tories - enough is enough 👇

It's great to hear that there was such a big response to the consultation, but we need to take urgent action now to #BanPlasticInWetWipes 🌊❤️

I asked the Minister to meet with me to discuss the next steps.

@mcsuk @Thames21 @friends_earth @thameswater @GreenAllianceUK @WaterUK

If you live in Wakefield, today is your chance to make the brilliant @SimonLightwood the next Labour gain 🌹

#VoteLabour today 🗳️❤️

This Conservative Government’s Bill of Rights con is an attack on women.

It will make it harder for victims of rape to get justice.

But it comes as no surprise from a Govt that has effectively decriminalised rape.

I’ve just been in #PMQs - if you wondered what the blue ribbons we are wearing mean, it is support for the @DianaAward #SpeakOutAboutBulling campaign

74 years ago, the HMS Windrush transported men, women and children from the Caribbean to Tilbury Docks.

It is with great pride that we fly the Windrush flag at City Hall today to honour the Windrush Generation and their incredible contribution to our city and country.

The Tories had to be dragged kicking and screaming last night to commit to even appointing a new Ethics Advisor.

After the previous incumbents resigned in disgust at the conduct of this Government, they clearly need to be put in special measures.

@AngelaRayner @rach_hopkins

The Windrush generation helped build Britain.

But the Tories' hostile environment left many homeless, jobless and without healthcare. Victims are still waiting for the justice and compensation they deserve.

Windrush descendent @DavidLammy tells their story. #WindrushDay

It was a pleasure to visit @ronaldrosssw19 for their Geography Week and talk about my work at @WaterAidUK in their special assembly 🚰💙

I came away with 180 letters from the children that I will enjoy reading this week ✉️😍

The Tories promised higher wages and levelling-up. But they’ve done nothing to make that a reality.

Inflation hit 9.1% in May. Working people face the fastest fall in pay in years.

Labour has a plan to drive up pay, transform workers' rights and deliver good working conditions.

Thank you to @TheRocheSchool for inviting me to their fantastic Jubilee celebration last week! 👑🇬🇧

It was a brilliant event where we celebrated not only the Queen, but also all the wonderful countries we come from around the world 🌎❤️

I had meetings with the President of @RoehamptonSU, students and the Vice Chancellor of @RoehamptonUni last week to discuss plans for redundancies and restructuring.

I will continue to encourage dialogue with @RoehamptonUCU and students who are concerned about cuts to courses.

Revolting🤢 Don't flush your wet wipes!

Another huge mass clogging up our sewers - we must #BanPlasticInWetWipes now!

The Roehampton Community Box is a brilliant sign-up service open to families in Roehampton and the surrounding areas who need support in getting food, hygiene products and household items 🙏❤️

Here's a quick peek of the fantastic work they are doing👇👀🧵

To mark #LonelinessAwarenessWeek, last week I joined @mentalhealth to talk about the impact loneliness has on the lives of my constituents and what steps we can take to prevent it👇

The Sunday Times has reported on Wimbledon’s new show court and 38 courts only to be used for Wimbledon qualifying matches and park.

This is on the border of my constituency and here is my objection statement: https://www.fleuranderson.co.uk/2021/07/20/aeltc-wimbledon-park-response-to-third-consultation/

As the last Labour gain I’m hoping that #Wakefield will be the next one.

I’ve been here for two days campaigning for Simon Lightwood who such a good candidate for MP here.

As Keir just said, ‘a win here could be the birthplace of the next Labour Government #WinningWakefield

I am very concerned about proposals to withdraw bus routes 14 and 74.

These cuts are a direct result of the Government’s refusal to fund @TfL adequately 👇🧵

For #CleanAirDay I took to some of our busiest streets to measure the presence of ultra-fine particles.

Readings were high on Upper Richmond Road, Lower Richmond Road, & Putney High Street.

You can see the difference made by some buses and idling traffic - what can we do? 👇🧵

It’s #CleanAirDay and I’m pledging my support to keep campaigning for clean air and stop the deaths from air pollution.

I did air monitoring in Putney today and saw the surge with buses and idling.

We need green buses, safe cycle routes, school streets and WHO targets.

I'm grateful to the @imperialcollege Environmental Research Group for lending me an ultra fine particle counter for #CleanAirDay2022

I've been doing checks around #Putney and I will report on the results tomorrow.

I also bumped into the wonderful King of Bling @bondwimbledon!

Lord Geidt walked because of the odious behaviour of Boris Johnson’s Downing Street. They’ve made a mockery of the Ministerial Code.

Time for Tory MPs to stop propping up this sleaze-ridden Prime Minister and back Labour’s plan to clean up politics.

The resignation of one hand-picked ethics advisor is an embarrassment 🤦‍♀️

The resignation of TWO ethics advisors AND an anti-corruption tsar shows a pattern of the Prime Minister degrading our democracy 📉

It is a badge of shame for this government.

@AngelaRayner @rach_hopkins

Six years ago our friend Jo Cox was tragically murdered.

Jo’s legacy is one of hope:

“We are far more united and have far more in common that that which divides us.”

In Jo’s memory, we hold the belief that a more equal world is possible.

What a fabulous Jubilee tea party for the #Roehampton over 60s this afternoon!

Thanks to the Jubilee singers for the entertainment and to Pam and all the volunteers for the 🧁 feast and 🇬🇧decor!

I'm really excited to be going to @lynnecappa and Estate Art's grand opening of a new exhibition in #Roehampton: Home is where the heART is ❤️

It's on Tuesday 21st June 3:30pm outside the Old Co-op, Danebury Avenue, right by the brilliant Jubilee mural - hope to see you there 😍

The full @YvetteCooperMP take-down of the #Rwanda policy, is the most thorough, detailed and florid dismantling of gov't policy I've seen in many years.

Worth watching in full and sharing. Patel reduced to gurning. I won't quote from it, because every line is quotable. ~AA

First up for @uklabour backbench questions this week is @LizTwistMP who raises the expected biggest rail dispute in a generation and asks whether the PM has met with trade unions and employers to attempt to bring the dispute to an end. #PMQs

It was an honour to be re-elected as Vice-Chair of the Ahmadiyya APPG and join the National President Rafiq Ahmed Hayat and Mahmood Rafiq, Chair @Siobhain_Mc and lots of supportive MPs.

@APPG_Muslim @AhmadiyyaUK @LajnaLondon @LajnaUK

📽️ Labour leader Keir Starmer says Boris Johnson is trying to use "jedi mind tricks" to convince the public the country is thriving but "the force is not with him".

Passport delays are widespread because the Government didn’t plan for the post-Covid surge.

Getting an appointment is chaotic, people are having to cancel holidays and miss work.

The Home Office should be put in special measures.

Please contact me if you have passport issues

Along with all Londoners I stand with the Grenfell community, today on the fifth anniversary of that terrible tragedy, and always. Together, we will get the answers, justice and change that we need to protect communities in London and across the rest of our country.

💚 It is five years since 72 people were killed by a fire at #GrenfellTower .

In Roehampton we held a Walk for Grenfell to remember and call for justice.

There must be more action to ensure a similar tragedy can never happen again and people in bad housing are listened to.

I’m seething and despairing.

I’ve just left the House of Commons chamber where @YvetteCooperMP strongly challenged Government Ministers on the Rwanda deportation policy.

I’ve written before and I’ll keeping on writing and speaking up. 👇
