Great to meet with @greeneking on the launch of their report 'Untapping Potential' and to talk about the work they're doing supporting apprenticeships, increasing coverage of their supported internship scheme, and working with prison leavers including from HMP Risley #PubsAPPG

Last night APT was proud to host an event at @JW3London focusing on misogyny and antisemitism. Thank you to our chair @UJS_PRES and panellists @charlotte2153 @jessphillips and @jemma_levene.

Thanks to @charlotte2153 for speaking to @paulsaltysalt on @bbcmerseyside this morning about her experience of abortion. We had a big response to this interview, with other women sharing their stories. Listen here 2 hours in:

Charlotte Nichols (@charlotte2153) asking the pertinent questions.

Tories presided over decimation of our nuclear industry.

As we crank up creaking coal plants, the idea of net zero anytime soon is a dead duck.

Manchester barrister on strike claims he earned 49p per hour during trial. The government has admitted it failed to ask EDF to keep the Hinkley Point B nuclear power plant open, despite the ongoing energy crisis. The reactor provides enough electricity to power more than 1.7m homes, but will now shut down this August.

I was delighted to join pupils from @standrewsorford today on their visit to Parliament!

They had brilliant questions for me on a wide range of topics, and had clearly had fun and learned lots on the programme of activities arranged for them too. Very proud to be their MP 🥰

Today in Qs on the Draft Mental Health Bill, I pushed the Secretary of State to liaise with the Home Office to see psilocybin rescheduled- which would allow further research & options for treatment for conditions including depression, PTSD and anorexia #PsilocybinAccessRights

💥 NEW legal opinion shows Grants Shapps has “extensive” powers to step in and help resolve the rail dispute.

He needs to stop inflaming tensions and get people around the table to find a fair resolution.

SHOW of unity as town's MPs show support for @WarringtonMayor at Civic Sunday #warrington @charlotte2153 @MrAndy_Carter https://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2022/06/26/show-of-unity-as-towns-mps-show-support-for-mayor-on-civic-sunday/

An honour to join the Civic Service at St Elphin's Church for the new @WarringtonMayor Cllr Jean Flaherty!

Thank you to everyone who helped make the service so special, especially the Warrington regimental representatives, Warrington Brass and the Beautiful Noise choir.

SUDDEN downpour fails to dampen spirits as sunshine returns at Padgate & Woolston Walking Day #warrington @charlotte2153 @jimhunterphoto https://www.warrington-worldwide.co.uk/2022/06/25/sudden-downpour-fails-to-dampen-spirits-at-padgate-woolston-walking-day/

After a two year hiatus, it's been an amazing afternoon with all the community together again for Padgate Walking Day!

All of our schools, faith groups and community groups really did us proud! A big thank you to all the volunteers & everyone who turned out to see the parade ✨

Today, on #ArmedForcesDay we thank our Armed Forces for keeping us safe and for their service on the front line.

A Labour government would make sure our veterans get a better deal with fair access to the housing and the services they deserve.

Strong turn out for the Warrington Bank Quay @RMTunion picket line this morning! Lots of supportive honks and waves from the passing public, including ambulances, posties, tradespeople and even a solidarity jingle from an ice-cream van ✊ #ToryRailStrikes

🚨PM hit by a triple blow as he loses both by-elections and @oliverdowden quits as party chair, becoming first cab min to openly criticise PM over Partygate “Our supporters are distressed & disappointed by recent events, & I share their feelings…someone must take responsibility” https://twitter.com/OliverDowden/status/1540191893258207232

Oliver Dowden @OliverDowden

My letter of resignation to the Prime Minister.

Yep. We had a debate on #FireAndRehire this in Westminster Hall just last week, and the Government have not only not banned it but don't have any plan to either.

This is an outright lie #BBCQT

Marshajane @Marshajane

Government's @redditchrachel the under Secretary of State at the Department for Transport just told #BBCQuestionTime that the Tories legislated to prevent #FireandRehire.

That is a lie - they prevented @BarryGardiner Bill to stop Fireandrehire and disgracefully talked it out!

I'm all for railway modernisation to make it safer & more efficient, but job cuts don't do that.

When was the last time a ticket machine talked a suicidal teenager off the platform edge, helped a disabled passenger disembark, or got an abused person to safety? #BBCQT

I'm so proud of the incredible support that you have all given me throughout this campaign. Thank you.

Out on the Waterloo @RMTunion picket with my mum, her colleagues and @BellRibeiroAddy after I finished in Westminster for the day! Loads of support and solidarity from the public who are feeling the same pressures as the rail workers on strike, across so many different sectors ✊

Polls are open. Today is the day!

Your vote could boot Boris out of Downing St and deliver a fresh start for Wakefield.

Don’t miss your chance.

This Conservative Government’s Bill of Rights con is an attack on women.

It will make it harder for victims of rape to get justice.

But it comes as no surprise from a Govt that has effectively decriminalised rape.

We were delighted to support the APPG on Holocaust Memorial AGM earlier today. The group unanimously re-elected @BobBlackman and @LordIanAustin as the Co-Chairs and heard from Holocaust survivor Mala Tribich MBE.

I'll be speaking at this next week alongside some inspiring women. Come along if you can. It's free but registration is required. https://www.jw3.org.uk/whats-on/antisemitism-misogyny-hatred-jewish-women

People are in so much pain, they are pulling their own teeth out.

DIY dentistry in one of the richest countries on the planet.

The Conservatives’ response is to blame the patients.

This is so far from the original promise of the NHS.

Care must be provided to all who need it.
