Russia’s illegal war has turned a storm of hunger into a hurricane.
There are no western sanctions against food & fertiliser to vulnerable countries.

Food should never be used as a weapon of war.
Putin is weaponising hunger. He is using food security as a callous tool of war.
Talked about steps to get grain out of Ukraine with Turkish Foreign Minister @MevlutCavusoglu.
Vital these are implemented in the next month.🇬🇧🇹🇷🇺🇦

A powerful and moving story about how we don't need to face bullying alone.
Thank you for sharing Nadhim.
As many people know, I moved to this country aged 11, unable to speak a word of English.
Some of my first school experiences involved being called a ‘p*ki’ and even having my head dunked in a pond by bigger kids as entertainment.
It’s time to talk about bullying.
We share the procedural concerns raised by the UNHCHR about the manner in which the trial of ex-President Jeanine Áñez was conducted in #Bolivia. We encourage the Bolivian government to engage in good faith with substantive judicial reform. https://www.gov.uk/government/news/fcdo-statement-on-trial-of-jeanine-anez-in-bolivia
Huge thanks to Canada for taking this on. It’s a big task & an enormous responsibility.
The right outcome will set nature on a pathway to recovery this decade. The alternative is disastrous.
The UK will help our friends in Canada in every way we can

Appalled by reports last week of killings in Gambella and Oromia in #Ethiopia. Violence against civilians is unacceptable and undermines efforts to win lasting peace. I support @EthioHRC’s call for the protection of civilians.

It is vital the world unites to end conflict-related sexual violence. Today, on the International Day for the Elimination of Sexual Violence in Conflict, I look back at what we've achieved and how we can work together in the future. #CRSV #PSVI
So there is a lot of rubbish being spouted about the PM’s trip to Ukriane. 1. Firstly these trips are organised in total secrecy. Very few, and i mean very few, people know the dates and arrangements. Russia is still launching missile strikes right across Ukriane . 1/5
Ukraine must prevail or we will never be secure. 👇
Happy Birthday @kajakallas - you are an awesome woman & an awesome person.

Mr President, Volodymyr,
It is good to be in Kyiv again.
Food should never be a weapon. The poorest and most vulnerable should not starve because of The Kremlin’s war of choice and territorial ambition.
The world must stand united in calling an end to the attack on global food chains.
4⃣ It is in Russia's power to end this war and stop food insecurity levels from worsening. The world must unite against this conflict.
3⃣ International sanctions are critical to stopping Russia's brutal war. Our sanctions do not target exports or food supplies, nor do they impede the delivery of aid.
1⃣ Ukraine exported almost 50% of global sunflower oil until Russia’s invasion.
2⃣ The Kremlin is attempting to hold the world’s food supply to ransom in a bid for sanctions relief. Their continuation of this war is causing global food prices to rise.
Delighted to attend a reception hosted by @FCDOGovUK for @scga_scot at Lancaster House. Remembering Jo Cox and her contribution to politics and public life. My thoughts are with her loved ones today.

My thoughts are with the victims and families of the terrible attack that took place this weekend in Seytenga, Burkina Faso. This must be urgently investigated so that those responsible face justice for this appalling crime against innocent civilians.
Today I met with Isadora Zubillaga @isadorazubi, member of the democratic opposition in #Venezuela. Restoration of democracy in Venezuela is essential for the future well-being of the country and its people.
