On the 28/7/21, every Labour Councillor in Bury voted in favour of Andy Burnham’s plan to impose a 493 square mile clean air charging zone upon my Bury North constituents and the residents of GM.

In conjunction with our allies, I am taking immediate steps to impose new financial sanctions on the Central Bank of Russia, Russian National Wealth Fund, and the Ministry of Finance.

We will continue to support the Ukrainian people in bringing this unjust war to an end.

This afternoon I urged @NATO leaders to take immediate action against SWIFT to inflict maximum pain on President Putin and his regime.

The UK will introduce sanctions against Putin and Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov imminently, on top of the sanctions package already announced.

"They should leave now".

Armed Forces Minister James Heappey says British nationals in Ukraine should leave "immediately by any means possible" amid fears Russia could invade "with very little notice".
