Thank you @GillianKeegan Minister of State for @DHSCgovuk for your time today and for listening to our stories about how the lack of medical care and @NICEComms is having a hugely detrimental effect on those living with #TouretteSyndrome it is hugely appreciated #ThisIsTheStart

I am heartened by the promise of @DHSCgovuk to prioritise #SuicidePrevention and the personal commitment of @GillianKeegan and @sajidjavid to ensure a cross-government approach. @PAPYRUS_tweets stands ready to build on its 25 years of delivery in suicide prevention across the UK.

I hosted @GillianKeegan on farm last week with Chichester @NFUtweets @NFUSussexSurrey highlighting the issues around food security and the challenges we are facing. We also looked at the great independent trials work the @AICC1981 are doing on our farm. #backbritishfarming

I am hugely grateful to all those who serve in our #ArmedForces working tirelessly to keep the UK and our allies safe. This @ArmedForcesDay my thoughts and prayers are with our brave men and women who are currently deployed.

This @ArmedForcesDay, we're paying tribute to all serving troops and veterans that have given so much to protect our country. (1/2)

Started the day with a (virtual) ministerial round table on #suicideprevention, with Health Secretary Sajid Javid & Minister Gillian Keegan. A new Govt plan to bring down suicide rates will be published this year.

Suicide is the biggest cause of death in men under the age of 50.

@SajidJavid met bereaved families @PAPYRUS_tweets to hear their experiences as part of the work to develop a 10-year suicide prevention strategy to reduce the number of people taking their own lives.

We're partnering with @lifearc1 to bring the research community together to develop new treatments more quickly.
This collaboration brings real hope to those living with Motor Neurone Disease."

Thank you @NoahsArksHospice for arranging a chat with CEO’s from London children’s hospices.
The incredible services for children with life limiting illnesses including respite care for families are inspirational. This government will continue to support this great work.

Success and enjoyment at university starts with good mental health, which is why I made it a priority to get students the best possible mental support. But for years the gaps between university and NHS services have been too wide. Today, @GillianKeegan and I are changing that.

Wonderful to meet with @GillianKeegan at today's APPG on #TacklingLoneliness and Connected Communities event on social prescribing. Hearing updates on the government's loneliness strategy and plans for continuing to build on the successes of social prescribing in loneliness

The new health and care data strategy will drive innovation and improve efficiency, including faster treatment & diagnosis for patients, to tackle the Covid backlog.

This is part of our plan to modernise the NHS and transform health & social care.

Today marks five years since the Grenfell Tower fire took the lives of 72 people.

My thoughts are with the survivors, those who lost loved ones and the wider community.

New research shows
that young people and those with disabilities or long-term health conditions are disproportionately affected by loneliness.

This Loneliness Awareness Week please reach out to someone you think may be feeling lonely. @DCMS

Thank you @Autism for hosting an Understanding Autism session today for Minister Argar and me.

In 2019 Boris won the election with an 80 seat majority. Since then he has led on our response to Covid and is leading on supporting Ukraine in their critical time of need. These are v difficult times to navigate as we rebuild our country. The Prime Minister has my support.
