Fantastic result for Brixham campaigners to stop this ridiculous proposed development at Upton Manor Farm.

A David and Goliath story and one that shows the power and value of community voices and engagement in the planning process.

Today is not about Brexit it is only about whether or not colleagues feel the PM is the fit and proper person to be in No10.

Unsurprisingly, I do not believe he is and I will therefore be voting against the PM tonight.

Here is to a happy, joyous Platinum Jubilee weekend.

Her Majesty’s service to the country has been unflinching. She exhibits the very best of Britishness and sets an example to us all.

Long to reign over us, God Save the Queen.

2day is #WhiteArmbandDay the anniversary of the start of ethnic cleaning of non Serb population in the town of #Prijedor, in 🇧🇦. The then authorities ordered all non-Serbs to mark their houses with white flags & to wear white armbands when leaving home.

Sorry not to be on the Russian sanction list today.

Either way UK Parliament will not be bullied by Putin and his band of thugs. We will call out his atrocities in Ukraine for what they are, war crimes.

Just this morning, we have seen testimony of another appalling example of rape as a weapon of war by Russian troops. The @telegraph’s @SheridanDani reported the account of a 41 year old woman from Ukraine who said she was raped by a 19 year old soldier. 1/3

Today we jointly launched the Murad Code at the @UN Security Council alongside Nobel Peace Prize winner @nadiainitiative & @InstituteIntl

Spearheaded by Nadia, this will enable survivors of sexual assault to record their experiences safely and improve their chances of justice.

Great to meet @ECastroES to discuss the work of @TheHALOTrust in El Salvador.

Halo are doing incredible work to reduce armed violence, dispose of weapons and support climate regeneration projects. Which is supported by the Govt.

#Afghanistan is becoming the largest humanitarian crisis in the world. Recently @CFIDinfo co-chair, @AnthonyMangnal1 held a Parliamentary meeting with @TheHaloTrust, @SaveChildrenUK and @WarChildUK plus Times journalist @ChristinaLamb to give updates.

Pleased to be able to ask an Urgent Question to @FCDOGovUK on what is being done to prevent sexual violence in in conflict.

The accounts coming out of Ukraine are horrific. We must ensure crimes are documented, survivors supported and perpetrators brought to justice.

The sexual violence perpetrated by Russians in #Ukraine is horrifying.

I asked the Prime Minister if the UK will do more to provide support to NGOs helping victims & survivors on the ground ⁦@CommonsIDC⁩

I just raised in @HouseofCommons the possibility of adapting some of the Titles Deprivation Act 1917 (see link) to potentially remove peerages from those Lords who have adhered to the Putin regime.

I am glad to hear the Government will rule nothing out.

CFID condemns the actions of Russia. We welcome the £40m in humanitarian assistance from 🇬🇧 Govt for the Ukrainian people and will continue to encourage further assistance to those in need.#Ukraine

Debate and discourse in this country are essential.

We are not America.

What happened to @Keir_Starmer and @DavidLammy were unacceptable.

We must do better, which means leading by example in Westminster.

What happened to Keir Starmer tonight outside parliament is appalling. It is really important for our democracy & for his security that the false Savile slurs made against him are withdrawn in full.

Standards in public life matter.

At this time I can no longer support the PM. His actions and mistruths are overshadowing the extraordinary work of so many excellent ministers and colleagues.

I have submitted a letter of no confidence.

While I believe all should get their vaccinations.

I do not believe we should be forcing those who work in the NHS out of their jobs for not having vaccinations when we need them most.

Time for a u-turn on this ridiculous policy.

Why is the UK to join a trade bloc centred on the Pacific Ocean?

The Economist's @SoumayaKeynes and Conservative MP @AnthonyMangnal1 talk us through the finer points of CPTPP – and what membership would mean for Britain.

I have gone against against Government on quite a lot of matters.

I have NEVER been threatened or blackmailed by a Minister, Whip or SPAD.

It wouldn't work woth me and not sure it would with any other colleague.

Now seems like a good time to dust off my Ten Minute Rule Bill calling for by-elections if an MP crosses the floor to join another political party.

My new report with @CPSThinkTank out today on why joining the CPTPP is a slam-dunk for Britain - you can read my article in the Telegraph here

Very pleased that after a great deal of campaigning the Government has announced the closure of the second home tax loophole.

@michaelgove & @RishiSunak ‘s work ensures that second homes will pay their fair share in council tax.

This will make a big difference across the SW.
