What has Jeremy Corbyn been up to today?
Jeremy Corbyn is MP for Islington North and a member of the Independent party.
Jeremy Corbyn has 2466833 followers on Twitter.
As the King makes his journey to Parliament in a golden carriage, more than 4 million children in this country are living in poverty.
Scrap the two child benefits cap, now.
France’s extraordinary election results provide an urgent, valuable lesson.
Don’t concede ground to those who sow division and fear. Build a bold Left movement that offers an alternative of inclusion and hope.
That is how you defeat the far right.
Our message to the government: we are a movement for Palestine, and we are never, ever going away.
It is an honour to be re-elected as the MP for Islington North.
Our victory is a glimpse of a different future, which puts the interests of the many over those of the few.
And it is a warning to the new government: that hope for a better world can never be extinguished.
Just voted for the independent candidate in Islington North.
I heard he’s alright.
Palestinian children should wake up feeling excited to go to school and play with their friends.
Instead, for those murdered in Rafah, their last moments on this earth were filled with unimaginable fear as bombs rained down on their tents.
What a monstrous failure of humanity.
When I vote in Parliament, I do not vote alone. I vote with my community — and we believe in a kinder, better world.

Another wonderful visit this morning to one of our fantastic local primary schools.
We spoke about how to care for animals and our environment.
Children are full of creativity and hope - we must ensure all of them have the opportunity to flourish and thrive!
When I was first elected, I made a promise to stand by my constituents no matter what.
In Islington North, we keep our promises.

Following the ICC's application for arrest warrants, I asked the Foreign Minister about the military relationship between Britain and Israel.
He refused to answer.
The ICC's arrest warrant is a sobering wake-up call for political leaders who have aided and abetted crimes against humanity.
The UK government must give its full support to the ICC and end arms sales to Israel.
We will carry on campaigning for a just and lasting peace.
Today, the UK High Court will decide whether Julian Assange will be extradited to the United States, where he faces imprisonment of up to 175 years.
We are outside the court to say loud and clear: journalism is not a crime.
Free Julian Assange.
Great to see @jeremycorbyn and the legendary @YusufCatStevens endorse our #ArtAgainstTheArmsTrade campaign calling on UK music festivals to cut ties with arms trade sponsorship.

Today, we marched for Palestine to mark the 76th anniversary of the Nakba — a campaign of violence, ethnic cleansing and dispossession that never ended.
Everyday, our movement for peace is growing. Free Palestine.
It's been another busy week in Parliament as the MP for Islington North.
In a debate on violence against women & girls, I spoke about the humanitarian crisis in the Democratic Republic of Congo, where women are paying the highest price for endless war and exploitation.
Tonight’s Nakba event was an incredibly moving display of solidarity with the Palestinian people.
We are a movement for peace — and we aren’t going anywhere.
Today marks the anniversary of the Nakba, when 750,000 Palestinians were expelled from their homes.
The Nakba didn't end in 1948. It is an ongoing campaign of ethnic cleansing, violence and occupation.
Our solidarity lives on - we will never give up on the Palestinian people.
The assault on Rafah is another utterly despicable war crime.
As bombs rain down on a trapped and terrified population, we implore our government to find an ounce of humanity and end its complicity in this senseless massacre.
Wake up. This is not war. This is genocide.
I have asked my lawyers to take the first steps in commencing legal proceedings against Nigel Farage, following a highly defamatory statement about me.
We are a movement for peace — and we cannot stand by and let these disgusting and malicious lies go unchallenged.
Protesting against the mass slaughter of civilians is not a threat to democracy.
The real threat to democracy is a government that crushes our rights and silences our solidarity.
Our movement is made up of all faiths and backgrounds, united by a belief in a more peaceful world.
The images from Rafah are unbearable.
What is there left to say? Do our political leaders not see what we see? Is there really no limit to what Palestinians must endure?
Enough! Stop equivocating. Stop stalling. Stop hiding — and call for an immediate ceasefire, now.
Palestinians risked life & limb to reach Rafah, the last designated safe zone in Gaza.
Now they are being told to leave. Where are they supposed to go?
This is not an “evacuation.” This is ethnic cleansing — and our government is complicit by letting Israel act with impunity.
Yesterday, the ICJ found a plausible risk of genocide in Gaza.
Today, the UK has joined others in suspending funding to UNRWA.
This is collective punishment — our government should be ashamed of its moral depravity toward Palestinians starving to death.
Why is there always money to bomb people, but never any money to feed, house or care for people?
Military action in Yemen by the UK & US government is a reckless act of escalation that will only cause more death and suffering.
It is utterly disgraceful that Parliament has not even been consulted.
When will we learn from our mistakes and realise that war is not the answer?
Today's ICJ hearing was devastating. Horror after horror, laid out in plain sight for all to see.
South Africa spoke for millions around the world desperate for this massacre to end — and put the UK & US government to shame for their deplorable silence, cowardice and complicity.
Do Palestinians not scream in agony as they watch their friends and family die?
Do Palestinian children not deserve to laugh and play with their friends at school?
Do Palestinian lives not matter?
To save what is left of our common humanity, we need a ceasefire now.
Every person killed in Gaza has a name, a face and a story.
I voted for a ceasefire to put a stop to this endless loss of precious life.
It is a disgrace that so many MPs ignored the voices of Palestinians imploring them to do the same.
Tomorrow, MPs will be voting on the call for a ceasefire in Gaza. It is a simple moral choice: do you support the indiscriminate killing of human beings, or do you want to stop the further loss of life?
In the aftermath of horror, we need voices for peace and diplomacy. Instead,… https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1724470254728860017
Today, we assembled in our hundreds of thousands to demand an end to the massacre in Gaza.
The people have spoken: ceasefire now.
Ceasefire now.
How many more civilians must die before political leaders listen to our global movement for peace?
Ceasefire now!
Enough!
It is just horror after horror after horror.
Remember these precious and beautiful lives. They are human beings with names and faces. And they are being indiscriminately slaughtered.
What unconscionable inhumanity. We need a ceasefire, now.
Today, I am thinking of human beings in Gaza buried under the rubble.
I am thinking of their joys, dreams, hopes & fears.
I wonder, if the dust ever settles, whether opponents of a ceasefire will look back and reflect on the cost of their inhumanity.
We need a ceasefire, now.
Two weeks ago, we marched in London for a ceasefire.
Last week, we marched for a ceasefire.
Today, we marched for a ceasefire.
This massacre has to end — we need a ceasefire, now.
People in Gaza are dying in the darkness.
This unthinkable horror cannot be undone — and history will not forgive those who refused to treat Israeli and Palestinian lives with equal worth.
Please, we need a ceasefire, now.
An entire culture, history and people are disappearing under the rubble – buried by the moral cowardice of our political leaders.
Artists whose work we will never know.
Teachers whose lessons we will never learn.
Children whose laughter we will never hear.
We must… https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1717179319389159689
The siege must end. The killings must end. The occupation must end.
Today, we marched in our thousands for an immediate ceasefire.
We will never stop speaking up for the Palestinian people. Our common humanity is at stake.
Israeli air strikes have hit Al Ahli hospital in Gaza. More than 500 people - patients, doctors & those sheltering - have been killed.
What unspeakable horror. We will mourn their loss forever.
Our leaders could have spoken up for peace. They chose to cheer on war instead.… https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1714345013734166555
The collective punishment of the Palestinian people is a war crime.
We will carry on demonstrating as long as it takes to stop the bombardment of Gaza, to end the occupation, and to bring about a just and lasting peace.
We cannot stand by as Gaza is decimated.
Today, we gathered in our thousands to mourn the loss of innocent lives, Israeli and Palestinian.
We will keep marching until our political leaders wake up: ending the occupation is the only way to achieve a just and lasting peace.
We may be witnessing the total obliteration of Gaza.
Political leaders refusing to speak out should feel eternal shame over the horror they are allowing to unfold.
Those of us who believe in peace cannot stay silent. We must say to the Palestinian people: you are not alone.
We should condemn the targeting of all civilian life, no matter who does it.
Why can't our politicians uphold this basic moral principle, and defend international law universally and equally?
How many innocent Palestinian lives should be erased in the name of self-defence?
Today, I'm thinking of all those in Israel and Palestine suffering unimaginable pain, trauma and fear.
The horrific attacks on civilians in Israel were deplorable. This cannot justify the indiscriminate killing of Palestinians, who are paying the price for a crime they did not… https://twitter.com/i/web/status/1711706926751334636
The unfolding events in Israel and Palestine are deeply alarming.
We need an immediate ceasefire and urgent de-escalation.
And we need a route out of this tragic cycle of violence: ending the occupation is the only means of achieving a just and lasting peace.
We live in a grotesquely unequal society that concentrates wealth, status & power in the hands of a few.
Real patriotism is about building a society that cares for each other and cares for all.
Well done @GaryLineker for standing up for refugees.
Well done @IanWright0 for showing the meaning of solidarity.
Now, let's mobilise against a politics of cruelty, and defeat this inhumane, illegal & immoral legislation.
A statement on my future as the MP for Islington North.
