Today attending Board meeting & asked Board why close MiU BEFORE consultation & asking them to keep MIU open whilst they do much more to get staff to keep MIU permanently open 24/7.

Very concerned at proposals to close Minor Injuries Unit (MIU)at Prince Philip Hospital overnight & said so bluntly to Chair & CEO .

Two years ago today, Liz Truss’s mini budget crashed the economy and sent your mortgage spiralling.

With @RachelReevesMP as Chancellor, Labour will put money back in the pockets of working people.

This @UKLabour Government is working together with our @WelshLabour Government partners to help improve outcomes for patients and drive down waiting lists on both sides of the border.

Delighted to address my first @UKLabour conference as Secretary of State for Wales.

I was born in Wales, I grew up in Wales. Now I'll deliver for Wales. #Lab24 #ChangeBegins

Brilliant to hear from @SeaCadetsUK at a great @UKLabour conference fringe meeting discussing how to give young people a stronger voice with @NiaGriffithMP in the chair & loads of great ideas from the panel! #lab24

Growth is Labour’s number one mission to create jobs and put money in the pockets of working people.

We must deal first with the Tory £22bn black hole and that means tough decisions but that doesn't diminish our aspirations for a decade of national renewal.

Tory austerity destroyed public services, investment and growth.

Fixing their mess means tough decisions.

But we won’t let that dim our ambition for Britain.

Our Armed Forces are widely - and rightly - respected across the world. And this Government wants the best talent recruited into them.

We’ll tackle the bottlenecks, needless red tape and ensure our recruitment is fit for the 21st Century.

If we fix the foundations of our economy, the prize is immense.

More money in people’s pockets, an NHS that is fit for the future and a Britain that is rebuilt.

My ambition for Britain knows no limits because I can see the prize on offer if we make the right choices now.

This Labour Government will rebuild Britain and deliver on the promise of change.

When we said two Labour governments would work in partnership, that is what we meant.

Today, @JoStevensLabour will set out how they will learn from one another to drive down waiting lists and improve care in our NHS.

Today I will announce a bold new partnership between our two Labour governments to drive down #NHS waiting lists on both sides of the border.

@PrifWeinidog and I are working together to deliver for people across Wales.
