As well as #DianaRoss currently having two albums in the top 5 in the UK iTunes Album Chart, these two compilations have just shot up the R&B Top 40, with 'All the Great Hits' at #10 and the Supremes' Ultimate Collection at #11.
And another big congratulations to Ms.@DianaRoss - she is currently at #3 in the UK iTunes Album Chart with 'The Greatest' (compilation) AND at #4 with this new album 'Thank You', thanks to her performance at Glastonbury. ❤️ https://twitter.com/IPhillips79/status/1541291826291908608
Ms.@DianaRoss - Thank You
Ms. Ross performed three songs from her new album 'Thank You' (which went Top 10 in the UK) at Glastonbury: the retro banger 'Tomorrow', the title-track and the infectious 'If The World Just Danced'. Album at all outlets - Spotify, Apple, Amazon etc.❤️
Happy birthday Alastair

The one and only Marvin Gaye
#MarvinGaye - Distant Lover (1973)
The B-side to the 'Come Get to This' single, the second lifted from his (one of many) masterpiece 'Let's Get It On'. The following year a live version was issued, peaking at #28 in the US Hot 100 and #12 on the #Soul Chart.
More Motown sounds
Jimmy Ruffin - It's Wonderful (To Be Loved by You) (#TOTP 1970)
Like a few other #Motown artists, such as Edwin Starr, Jimmy Ruffin enjoyed a wide and loyal following in the UK (much more than in the US). This single followed a string of UK top 10 hits and peaked at #6.
#DianaRoss - Pieces of Ice (Live in New York's Central Park - Day 2, July 1983)
Quite rare seeing her perform a dance routine. This was in front of over 800,000 people ! The song (from her stint at RCA) was a big club & R&B hit but missed the UK and US Top 30 charts.
Congratulations to Ms.@DianaRoss and her band for a truly SPECTACULAR set at Glastonbury today. On fire!! Brilliant performance and rocked it! 🕺🕺😎❤️❤️❤️
Junior Walker & The All Stars - Shake And Fingerpop (1965)
Very similar in sound and style to their definitive hit 'Shotgun' but still works well in its own right. In fact you could argue it's even more slick than 'Shotgun'. Was a top 30 hit, top 10 on the #Soul Chart. #Motown

Just more Motown legend’s, another classic hit
Martha & The Vandellas - Jimmy Mack (1967)
Although recorded in March 1964, 'Jimmy Mack' didn't see the light of day for another three years! Hitting the US Top 10, it also topped the R&B Chart. Boasted a very popular B-side with 'Third Finger, Left Hand'.
Motown taking America by storm , just great soul music
Junior Walker & the All Stars - Shotgun (1965)

#DianaRoss & #TheSupremes - Love Child (1968)
Performance on the Ed Sullivan Show of their 11th #1 hit single! Shedding the sequinned gowns in favour of a street look, this saw the group moving into social commentary. Some radio stations banned it, deeming it "controversial"!
