With two heroines of the democratic struggle in the North of Ireland
This week I was proud to accompany @RelsForJustice families as they handed a letter into 10 Downing Street setting out their opposition to the shameful legacy bill.
This legislation will deny families truth & justice, & to wrap it in the language of reconciliation is shameful.

DUP leader Jeffrey Donaldson skips over to Belfast gets elected as MLA, pulls down the Assembly Executive, threatens ‘perpetual instability’ abandons the seat in that Assembly, and skips back to secure his own future in Westminster! Showing contempt for voters.

In Southwark Cathedral with @gildernewm and @MickeyBradySF for the world premier of ‘Where the Birds Sing’ - an organ composition dedicated to all of those touched by the conflict in the North.
It was good to meet with you Dermot, you are a great ambassador for Newry & Armagh. Keep up the good work
Great to catch up with @MickeyBradySF to talk all things Newry & Armagh
We discussed Irish Language Rights, Integrated Education and Irish Unity as well as the future and potential of our health service
This will put money back into the pockets of care workers, families and patients who are already struggling with the rising cost of living.
Delighted to represent Sinn Féin at the London Saint Patrick’s Day Parade today making sure Irish Unity is very much to the fore. @QuinlivanTD
Party leaders met again this morning. I and other party leaders have appealed to Jeffrey Donaldson to nominate to the executive so that we can agree the allocation of £300m to support families through the cost of living crisis. The DUP should do the right thing.
Stormont has limited powers to tackle cost of living crisis, but it does have the ability to target £300m towards those most in need
The fact that DUP are preventing this and endangering those in urgent need, is a damning indictment of their pathetic position & failure to lead https://twitter.com/moneillsf/status/1501822703040356356
What the public need is restoration of the Executive with its full spending & decision-making powers. The DUP should nominate an FM so we can hold an extraordinary Executive; agree a budget & allocate the £300m available to workers & families- I’m ready to do that today.

If we want greater representation of women, we must break down barriers so women can fully participate in political life. I spoke to @bbctheview about my experiences as an MLA & a mum, & the impact of no maternity leave provisions for elected reps. See it tonight, BBC @ 10.35pm https://twitter.com/bbctheview/status/1496906736707543046
In the majority of jobs maternity leave is a given - not so if you are a Stormont MLA, minister, or a local councillor.
@Elaine_McGee10 hears from some of our local politicians.
More on @BBCTheView tonight at 10;55pm
Today I met & gave my support to Fiona Donohoe.
I have written to the British Secretary of State & PSNI Chief Constable, to raise serious concerns on the PSNI applying for a Public Interest Immunity certificate to withhold evidence.
Fiona Donohoe deserves transparency & answers
I visited Louth today to meet with management of Our Lady of Lourdes Hospital & Louth County Hospital. I also met with the Southern Trust in the North with @sinnfeinireland elected reps to make the case for a vision, a plan & more cross border services at Daisy Hill Hospital
Saddened to hear of the passing of Christopher Stalford. Always found him to be more than civil RIP
Desperately sad news of the sudden passing of DUP Assembly member Christopher Stalford. On behalf of the Sinn Féin Assembly team I extend our condolences and I express my sincere sympathy to his wife Laura and their four children who are foremost in our thoughts this afternoon.
Terribly sad news re: Christopher Stalford
Always found him generous & kind spirited, a really decent community representative who was incorrigibly proud of his roots
Heartbreaking for his young family, who he adored, they will no doubt find strength in his memory
Congratulations to John Dalzell on raising £156,000 for the Hospice.Well done John.
50 years ago today, people from across Ireland & the globe gathered in huge numbers in Newry.
They marched against Internment & for civil rights in supreme & total defiance of the Orange State & British army.
This massive demonstration took place just 1 week after Bloody Sunday.
Good to meet Colin O’Neill from @HospUlster today in Westminster. Discussing sustainability options for the hospitality industry.
Happy 80th Birthday to the legendary Mick Murphy 🥳 👏🏻
