Former junior health minister Lord Horam said he had been 'rather warned off' attempts to look at 'other options' to address demands for compensation for haemophiliacs infected with hepatitis C. The government's position in 1995 was that no compensation would be paid.

🏴This issue of #indyref2 is not going away. We are not going away.
🗳We would all rather Westminster acted like democrats and granted a Section 30 order.
🧑⚖️If not, we will go to the Supreme Court &, if need be, fight an election on the issue of #ScottishIndependence.
Of course the events in question were different but these events show how U.K. Parliament is simply unable to hold the government to account. Parliamentary accountability is a mirage. This should worry us all

Having claimed credit for #NIProtocol to #GetBrexitDone in 2019, Johnson now plans to wreck it against wishes of majority in #NI. He is using #NI as he WANTS fight with #EU to rally his #Brexiteers & cling on to power!
I listened to Boris Johnson justifying his approach to Ukraine as a defence of international law and order. Tonight he is asking his Party to break that law in a Commons vote. I am sickened by the duplicity in this.

@johnredwood No John they sided with the maj of NI voters & businesses
Recent polling by @LucidTalk for @PostBrexitGovNI
The clear maj of voters in Northern Ireland (74%) prefer the UK-EU reaching agreement on the Protocol's implementation to unilateral UK action.
Remember when a few Tory MPs monetarily found their spines and condemned the law breaking protocol bill?
…by last night, they had lost them again

Confirmation @bloodinquiry from Sir John Majors evidence that he’d have to view/sign off recommendations. Therefore is it prudent to ask if @BorisJohnson has seen #SRFStudy recommendations? @Michael_Ellis1 @SimonClarkeMP @RishiSunak if not, why not? #InfectedBloodInquiry
@itvnews ‘Bad luck’ 😱😱 How dare he call the biggest treatment disaster in the history of the NHS ‘bad luck’ ?
Appalling decision making and £m’s of profit ahead of patient care doesn’t matter eh?
He speeded up the deaths of 1,000s of Haemophiliacs and he calls it ‘bad luck’ 🤬🤬🤬🤬
Admission that decades of suffering compounded by economic stress destroying families and spreading damage beyond the initial victim was totally and utterly unnecessary and all the @hmtreasury fault. @FredgoldMartin @Michael_Ellis1 @bloodinquiry @IanLaveryMP @Dr_PhilippaW @BBCHughPym @wesstreeting @DianaJohnsonMP Exactly mate. 🚜 2 million tonnes of surplus food goes to waste on our farms every year, whilst the cost of living crisis affects millions.Yet, lifeline funding to redistribute this food has been axed by UKGovt. I’m backing @FareShareUK’s #FoodOnPlates campaign to get the government to act.
I’m proud to be supporting World Continence Week this year. An estimated 6 million people in the UK are affected by continence problems and depend on safe urology appliances every day. Let’s make sure we continue to lead the way in ensuring patient choice and safety. #WCW2022

Today—the 6th anniversary of the #Brexit vote—brings back sad memories for Scotland.
But stay hopeful. Each day that passes from the vote brings us a day closer to #ScottishIndependence & the restoration of our EU citizenship, something close to the hearts of so many Scots.
The Govt won't submit its Bill for pre-legislative scrutiny because it has already received over 12,000 Consultation responses - but also says it won't publish these responses.

Not only is this obscene, where do they think they'll get all of these agency workers?
Have they had a look at the jobs market? Vacancies everywhere in just about every sector.
This is simultaneously dangerous, bonkers and disgusting.
Altogether very Tory.
