The Conservatives are soft on rape, soft on rapists and they donât like to face the fact that theyâre letting sex offenders off and letting survivors down. This is pretty good from the @LabourHealth / @wesstreeting team - responding to Sajid Javid's promise of a 'digital revolution' for the NHS....
They've dug out 16 previous occasions in the last 10 years where health secretaries have made similar speeches

In the debate on NI Protocol Bill where the ERG briefing sheet clearly moves from the Act of Union at the start of 19th Century to the 1998 Agreement but speakers seem oblivious to any significant developments in between
Somewhat galling to hear the argument that respecting the Good Friday Agreement is the Governmentâs primary concern when made by those who were reckless about the implications of Brexit on the GFA in 2016 and/or 2019.
âDo I consider this to be legal under international law? Will it achieve its aims? Does it at least maintain the standing of the UK in the eyes of the world?â
Former PM Theresa May says the answer to all three questions is ânoâ.
She isnât supporting the Govâs protocol bill.

Today the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill has its second reading in the Commons. It is worth a reminder as to why it is so awful - being divisive, damaging on multiple fronts, officially justified on flimsy grounds, and unofficially justified on a plan that isn't working. 1/n
đș WATCH: The Govt's approach to the Northern Ireland Protocol is nothing short of reckless.
During the @CommonsPACAC we spoke to international trade experts on the legal position the Govt is taking & the precedents being used as cover for ripping up a supposed 'oven-ready deal'

It's vital to hear from care-experienced young people. Only then can we deliver and unlock a social care system that works for them.
There are over 80,000 children in England now in care so we must secure measures that make their lives better. #ItsOurCare
Wakefieldâs win will go down in history, @SimonLightwood.
Iâm so proud of our Labour Party and the changes weâve made to be a government in waiting.
#SocialCare isn't just about residential care.
On #LDWeek22 I want to raise awareness of those who care for people with learning disabilities and ensure they have access to wonderful opportunities.
The dedication of these carers - many unpaid - cannot be praised highly enough.
đș WATCH: Despite the eagerness of the PM to erode standards in public life, @UKLabour's commitment remains & we will continue to pursue bringing back good standards of government.
It's what the country expects of good, decent governance.
Wakefield was a great campaign to be part of, delighted people there have put their trust in âŠ@UKLabourâ© thanks to all brilliant activists and staff. Look forward to welcoming âŠâŠ@simonlightwoodâ© to Westminster next week

This Conservative Governmentâs Bill of Rights con is an attack on women.
It will make it harder for victims of rape to get justice.
But it comes as no surprise from a Govt that has effectively decriminalised rape.

đș WATCH ICYMI: On Tuesday I spoke in a debate on the desperate need for the Portishhead branch line to be opened.
