The fires pose a significant health risk. Today I have requested a meeting with senior Council Officers, the landowner, and the LFB Station Commander. 👇

Pentonville 5 - Join the 50 year celebration of a great working class victory when mass union action forced the release of five dockers’ shops stewards jailed by the Tory government.

📆 Friday, 1 July, from 6pm, East Ham Town Hall, Barking Rd, E6 2RP.

"Labour must support those fighting to defend their living standards when, in effect, they face pay cuts nearing 10% – if it doesn’t, you wonder what the purpose of the party is," @JonCruddas_1 writes:

#Labour must support rail workers in their pay dispute and all those seeking to defend their living standards. @ObserverUK

I have received a weekend service update from @c2c_Rail for constituents in #Dagenham & #Rainham who are planning essential travel. Info on my website. @BDPost @RomfordRecorder @Time1075_fm @HaveringDaily

Tomorrow is #ArmedForcesDay and I want to put on record my great appreciation for the work of our servicemen and women during the pandemic, and their continued dedication to keep Britain safe.

This is an important and welcome development in the #JusticeForJack campaign. A testament to the tireless and inspirational effort of all the victims’ families. Now we need a public enquiry… @DonnaTa22175490

Improving #AirQuality is something I have campaigned for in #Dagenham & #Rainham, but today I have raised concerns about the #ULEZ expansion.

My submission to @TfL @MayorofLondon outlines a number of key issues which must be addressed. More here:

Written to @MayorofLondon today on behalf of Black Cab and other Private Hire drivers in #Dagenham & #Rainham regarding extreme changes in policy which threaten their livelihoods. 🚖👇

This coming weekend the London Riverside Church are hosting their 'Love the Borough' celebrations including a Family Fun Day on 26 June. They do fantastic work to support the most vulnerable in @lbbdcouncil. Details of the events here 👇

Details of this weeks tube and rail strikes, and how they will impact services in #Dagenham & #Rainham can be found on my website alongside my response. 🚇👇

This morning I am attending on behalf of @JonCruddas_1 the SEND Green Paper Policy Briefing. As a mother of a disabled child this is particularly very important to me. There is a 2.1 billion funding shortfall in disabled children’s health & care. We need change. #SENDGreenPaper

#CleanAirDay is a chance to wise up about #airpollution, share information with your friends, and take action to make the air across @lbbdcouncil @LBofHavering cleaner for everyone. More details about this years campaign here:

Great to hear the Admiral Vernon pub #Dagenham has been listed by @HistoricEngland thanks to its impressive 1930s interiors. This is an excellent way to preserve our pubs and community assets. @LongLiveLocals @CAMRA_Official 🍻

It has been five years since 72 people were killed by a fire at #Grenfell.

Today we remember the victims and demand action to remove unsafe #cladding and ensure a similar tragedy can never happen again.

Last Thursday I met with the #Rainham Patient Participation Group to discuss issues facing the surgery, and wider healthcare concerns.

I will be taking all of the items raised to my next meeting with @NHSEnglandLDN and @NHS_BHR.

We're incredibly excited to host @RichardDABurge, CEO of the @londonchamber, and @JonCruddas_1 on 28th June to explore what the #futureofwork will look like. Follow the link to book your place!

On 1st July I’ll be remembering the Pentonville Five at East Ham Town Hall, celebrating the 50th anniversary of the iconic TGWU dock workers. #Solidarity @unitetheunion @UniteLondonEast

This is spot on from Jonathan Rutherford via @LabourList 👇

Great afternoon at the Park centre. The Queens platinum jubilee buffet, with entertainment. Lots more pictures on our Facebook page. One Borough nobody left behind.

The water should be for everyone. Share your experiences with @Swim_England before 21 June to help make aquatics more inclusive: #DagenhamSwims

A photo of when we celebrated 50th anniversary in 2018, of the Ford Women Strikers victory. @MetroMayorSteve visited. It was at the beautiful Civic Centre building in #Dagenham. The struggle continues. Mural on my office as a daily reminder.

The Tories are divided.

They are focused on propping up Boris Johnson with no plan to tackle the issues facing you and your family.

Only Labour has a plan to fix the cost of living crisis, grow our economy and restore trust in politics.

Fantastic to see the local community and our new #BeamPark Councillors @mckeever_trevor @MattyThePadMan celebrating The Queen’s #PlatinumJubilee - was an excellent event by all accounts! 🙌🇬🇧

It was great to join the #PlatinumJubilee celebrations in #Dagenham Village over the weekend with local councillors and the community.

There were lots of street parties across the constituency, a testament to The Queen’s 70 years of dignified public service. 👑🇬🇧

Margaret Mullane @dagenhamwin

Some photos from yesterday. At the Jubilee Vicars tea party. Then at the Abbey Green Barking, for the Platinum Jubilee knees up.# dagenham. We love being Village Ward Councillors.

Over The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee weekend there are a whole host of fantastic family events in both @lbbdcouncil and @LBofHavering. Full details of how you can join in the celebrations on my website. 👇

Labour’s long term plan to tackle the cost of living crisis:

✅ Increase renewable and nuclear energy production
✅ Insulate 19 million homes
✅ Increase onshore and offshore wind capacity
✅ Triple solar power
✅ Cut energy bills

The first article, by @JonCruddas_1, analyses the existential threats liberal #democracy is facing, from internal and external forces, including #capitalism, #technology and hostile foreign powers 🔓👇

The #Tories would have left families in #Dagenham & #Rainham struggling with no support in the face of soaring energy bills and a cost of living crisis.

@UKLabour have forced the govt to do the right thing and u-turn on a #WindfallTax! 🌹🙌

On 24th May, along with Create Streets, we’ll be joined by @justinonweb, @fernssue, @oren_cass, Miriam Cates MP & @joncruddas_1 speakers to discuss how we can generate good work in poor places.
If you’re interested in joining us, please register here!

2/ Pats, industry, allergy charities, specialists all converged. @JonCruddas_1 & @louie_french spoke passionately as did @CarlarayeJones (Allergy UK) CEO. Pats inspired & shared their story. Politicians, campaigners, industry, HCPs & charities all with the same goals. Brilliant!

On Thursday last week 'Becontree: 100 Years' opened @RomfordFilmFest. I hope local people will take the time to watch the short film by @BarkingCollege @NorthernHeartF which perfectly presents #Dagenham, and the diverse communities that make it such a special place to live. 📽️👇

What a great day. Park View Care home opening a sensory garden for their residents. I was there on behalf of @JonCruddas_1 with @janis_cottee @lbbdcouncil. # dagenham. @Barchester_care Renata your manager is amazing!

Here's my recent column in @BDPost, where I raise concerns about the low turnout at the local elections and what that means for the democratic process. 🌹👇

The unemployed claimant data for #Dagenham and #Rainham in April is now available to view on my website.

Just arrived at Premiere Cinema on behalf of @JonCruddas_1 . Very exciting Becontree Film is opening the Romford Film Festival . Can’t wait ⭐️@lbbdcouncil

Tonight I voted for a windfall tax on oil and gas producers to support families in #Dagenham and #Rainham, and across the country with rising #energybills and the cost of living crisis.

I'm backing the @AsbestosForum @LASAG_UK campaign calling on Cape PLC to pay £10m - funding research into mesothelioma and #asbestos related diseases.

The legacy of Cape Asbestos is still felt by local families and they deserve justice. Sign+RT 👇

Our latest report, 'The Centre Holds', reveals a great degree of consensus on culture wars issues. Like @JonCruddas_1, we believe politicians have a responsibility to build on this common ground and help strengthen Britain's democracy.

We feature on the Havering Daily alongside MP Jon Cruddas @JonCruddas_1 on asbestos #asbestos and the AVSGF @AsbestosForum cape campaign #CapeMustPay on IWD2022 #IWD2022 @HaveringDaily #mesothelioma

It was an honour to join @BDHTUC in Barking today to unveil a new memorial, commemorating those who died because of #asbestos exposure.

On #IWMD2022 we remember the dead, and pledge to fight for the living.

This week I was contacted by the Young Climate Warriors. Their work is hugely admirable and it is important to raise awareness of Climate Change and encourage young people to discuss and address these issues. More here:
