Before the pandemic the Conservatives left the NHS with record waiting lists and huge staff shortages.

Now one in every ten people in England is waiting for care.

The government has got to solve the staffing shortage if it’s going to bring down waiting lists.

Labour is glad children are back in schools.

They should be learning together and playing together.

But the Tories need to match Labour’s clear, costed, and ambitious plan for how children can recover from the sustained disruption to their education.

I asked Boris Johnson how he expects people to survive on £96 a week when they get sick, since he thought earning £250k from his second job was “chicken feed”.

His response was pitiful.

Sick pay needs to be raised to Living Wage level to save countless lives & livelihoods #PMQs

The Government must go further to stop Covid spreading throughout schools.

This means:

More vaccination.
More ventilation.
Mass testing at schools.

Confirmed - Govt has finally accepted our proposal to lift 6 month time limit on domestic abuse prosecutions!

We put huge pressure on to get this through. Thanks to @RefugeCharity @womensaid @centreWJ @EricaOsakwe @CommissionerDA

We’ll keep up pressure for further action too/

One million Brits in Covid isolation as back-to-work chaos looms: Pupils could be turned away at schools, commuters face rail chaos, uncollected rubbish overflows and scores of businesses may shut

We should be using our recovery to get our economy growing, facing challenges head on and grasping opportunities before us.

As the cost of living crisis grows, we must break out of this low growth, high tax cycle the Conservatives are trapping us in.

Fewer than half of 12-15 year olds have even had a first jab.

Labour called for a Christmas vaccine guarantee to get our children vaccinated before schools go back.

We needed proper ventilation and action on misinformation too.

The Conservatives are letting our children down.

Hundreds of people are being sent hundreds of miles away from home for mental health treatment. It costs the NHS £2.5 million a week and is painful for patients and their families.

We must end the postcode lottery of service provision.

The Conservatives' cost-of-living crisis is out of control. And working people continue to foot the bill.

Labour is calling on the government to immediately remove VAT from domestic energy bills this winter.

For weeks Labour has been demanding urgent action on children’s vaccinations & proper ventilation in schools.

One air purifier per 3 schools is woefully inadequate.

The government’s chaos is yet again failing our children.

They need to get a grip. (1/4)

As for 2022?
- Home Office still not making VAWG a police priority
- Police Bill fails to extend rape sentences or tackle criminal exploitation of children
- Borders Bill makes it harder to prosecute traffickers...

A Home Office of slogans not solutions is making things worse

- overall prosecutions plummeted
- tens of thousands more criminals getting away with it
- no compensation for 95% of Windrush Scandal victims
- asylum decisions down & backlog up
- dangerous boat crossings up, safe, legal routes to prevent them cut

11yrs of Tory Home Office

Home Office record in 2021? Our country & communities deserve better than this 👇
- recorded violent crime up
- antisocial behaviour up
- a woman killed every 3 days
- 10,000 fewer police officers than 2010
- just 1.4% of reported rapes prosecuted

The cost of living crisis will be one of the toughest things facing families in this new year - especially rising energy bills. Labour is calling for a VAT cut on energy bills. Despite the PM saying he would do this, he still hasn’t acted.
