Good progress! The UKG have agreed to make it illegal to encourage someone else to self-harm. This is a fantastic step, and it’s what we’ve been calling for.

Now we need to make sure it’s implemented & extends to NI. Read more:

Kempe Stones Road closed.
The main carriageway between Newtownards and Dundonald is closed whilst police deal with a road traffic collision.
This is for vehicles heading in both directions.
We will provide further information when the road reopens.

Delighted to support @DundelaPharmacy who have been cycling an incredible 104 miles (Belfast - Dublin) to raise funds for @cftrust. They're still cycling, but close to the finish line, so if you're about Belmont Road, please pop over and support them. Superb effort!

I see Russia have now sanctioned a few more MPs, inc. 2 colleagues and myself. I'm proud my constituency produces the means for brave Ukrainians to defend themselves. I reject Russian warcrimes & imperial aggression. This sticker on the local greenway dog bin sums it up well.🇬🇧🇺🇦

“I have been humbled and deeply touched that so many people have taken to the streets to celebrate my Platinum Jubilee.”

As the #PlatinumJubilee weekend draws to a close, Her Majesty has sent a thank you message to all those who have marked her 70 years as Queen.

Cousins Connor & Ian are walking from Southport to Liverpool today, hoping to be at the Town Hall for 2pm. It’s day 10 of their 600 mile trek to raise funds for Beyond the Battlefield. If you can show them your support, they’d really appreciate it:

It’s been 2 years since Her Majesty addressed the nation with ‘We will meet again. We will succeed & that success will belong to every one of us’
What better way to celebrate than with our local community. A fantastic a’noon spent at Walkway Community Jubilee Celebrations.

Reflecting on a monumental day in London, celebrating 70 wonderful years of The Queen’s reign.
Colourful pageantry for as far as the eye could see & the wonderful sounds from The Massed Bands as they supported the Irish Guards Trooping their Colour on Horse Guards Parade.

The children, staff and volunteers all received a specially commissioned Platinum Jubilee enamel badge today to mark the historic occasion! We hope everyone will keep them for many years to come as a lasting memory of their day! 💜👑💜

Today we have had a very special visitor to school. Brian Boru X, the regimental mascot of The Royal Irish Regiment, came to meet the children. This is a one of a kind experience; we are the only school in NI to have a visit from Brian Boru X to mark the Platinum Jubilee! 👑

A huge thank-you to all the volunteers across East Belfast. A particular mention to @SamaritansNI who recently celebrated their 60th birthday. x who provide a listening ear 24/7, 365 days a year. This service wouldn't be possible without their dedicated volunteers.

⚓️ HMS PEMBROKE is alongside in Belfast for the Jubilee weekend and will be open to visitors at designated times. What better way to celebrate HM The Queen’s Platinum Jubilee than a visit to one of her ships 🇬🇧

🎟 Entry by ticket only. See link ⬇️

Superb news.
Harland & Wolff has landed an £8.5m deal for fabrication of 11 barges for firm Cory, with the work being carried out in Belfast.

Delighted to have been given a hard hat tour of the redevelopement of Templemore Baths today, which will bring the building to life through heritage & leisure transformation. Exciting to see the restoration of this landmark building take shape @belfastcc @GLL_UK

🤝 It was lovely to meet Connor Ferguson & Ian Reid just outside Broughton earlier.

🚶 Connor & Ian are walking an incredible 600 miles across the UK & Ireland to raise funds for Beyond the Battlefield, hoping to raise over £20,000 for veterans.

Another 30 miles clocked up by Ian & Connor today. The pair left Whitehaven first thing this morning and arrived into Millom just after 7pm.
They were greeted by the Mayor & Deputy Mayor of Millom and presented with an RNA plague for the new Veterans centre.
Day 5 completed!

The Big Dandering duo Ian Reid & Connor Ferguson are back! This year they’ve set out to complete an ambitious 600 miles in 18 days taking in a round trip to include Scotland, England, Wales, RoI and finishing back at Stormont.

I started the morning in Northern Ireland by kicking off the #BigDander, a 600 mile walk that will aid the local charity #BeyondTheBattlefield in their work to support services for PTSD and mental health.

What a week of adventure for P7! Memories that will stay with them for a lifetime. Delighted that the school trip was able to go ahead. Lots of happy (and tired) children… and teachers!

I have been inundated with requests for bus lane restrictions to be suspended between 7am-7pm each day during the Translink strike action. I have written to @deptinfra & requested that this guidance is brought forward today to ease the flow of traffic while buses are suspended.

Reprehensible behaviour from those responsible.
Work to the new school was making great progress. Nothing has been gained from this targeted and mindless vandalism.
I would urge those with any information to come forward to PSNI.

About 60 windows are smashed by vandals at a school on Avoniel Road in east Belfast overnight.

Great to have the company & backing of my friend @ArleneFosterUK as my campaign in #EastBelfast reaches its final few days.

Arlene knows how vital this election is for Unionism, that's why she wants to see as many DUP candidates returned as possible. #Brooks1 #Bunting2 #ae22

A lot of people have been asking for @ArleneFosterUK on the campaign trail in South Antrim. Really pleased to have her with me in Ballyclare today!

Thanks so much to Arlene Foster for the support and endorsement!

Well done to everyone at @east_awards on a fantastic evening at The Stormont Hotel, we had a great night.

Special congratulations to all the finalists and winners 👏🏻

All the very best to the EastSide Awards finalists. Delighted to see so many individuals, groups and businesses getting well-deserved recognition.

One of our MPs tables some questions about #LongCovid.
