Today, we remember all those who lost their lives at Grenfell Tower. We pay tribute to their families and friends who want their loved ones to be remembered not for what happened but what changed. Five years on, there is more to do, but that must be the legacy of Grenfell.
For 70 years, Her Majesty has been steadfast in her selflessness, in her dedication to duty & in her commitment to her country. For that we simply say: thank you, Ma’am. God Save The Queen 🇬🇧
Good to see @antonioguterres again at the UN to discuss human trafficking & the situation in Ukraine. In particular, how governments can help protect children who are being left to the mercy of criminal gangs attempting to make money from their suffering.
Great to talk to @JuliaGillard about the challenges women face both online & in everyday attitudes. Her work at the Global Institute for Women’s Leadership alongside @KellyIpsosUK shows we still have a lot to do & we must keep our feet on the accelerator #IWD2022 @GIWLkings
Good to have the opportunity to meet with @theresa_may to discuss #COP26 and what next steps the world needs to take to ensure the commitments made in Glasgow become a reality. Leadership from the U.S. and the UK will be instrumental in tackling the #ClimateCrisis.
Thanks to @LiberalAus for hosting me on my first visit to Australia last week. The 🇬🇧 & 🇦🇺 are not just friends and allies, but share the deepest bonds of family, heritage & values.
This is a defining moment not just for our collective security, but for the cause of democracy & freedom in our world.
@BorisJohnson right to press the case for continued diplomacy, while preparing the most severe sanctions for Russia if Putin chooses the catastrophe of war.
On Her Majesty’s platinum jubilee, we celebrate a landmark in our national story. We pay tribute to a 70-year reign, defined by duty and commitment — and show our gratitude to an extraordinary woman, who has dedicated her life to the service of her people & our family of nations.
On #HolocaustMemorialDay we remember the appalling inhumanity of the Holocaust & vow to strengthen our endeavours to drive out hatred in our society.
A touching message from Cathy Brokenshire on what would have been James' birthday

Thank you, Angela, for your friendship over recent years, for all you have done to strengthen the partnership between our two nations and for your steadfast leadership in the world.
At the Cenotaph this morning, we paid tribute to all those who gave their lives in defence of our freedom. #LestWeForget
It was a pleasure to co-chair the #COP26 meeting on the importance of nature.
To keep the pathway to 1.5 degrees alive, we must change the way we use our land & oceans, protect our forests and restore ecosystems globally. (1/4)
Former prime minister Theresa May says she's "confident" #COP26 will be a success and will create "momentum for action" for tackling climate issues.

Heartbreaking to hear of the death of Sir David Amess. A decent man and respected Parliamentarian, killed in his own community while carrying out his public duties. A tragic day for our democracy. My thoughts and prayers are with David’s family.
Truly saddened by the death of James Brokenshire. He was an outstanding public servant, a talented minister and a loyal friend. My thoughts are with Cathy and his whole family.
I congratulate all involved for identifying this individual and developing the evidence. Yet further confirmation that responsibility for the attack lies firmly in the hands of the Russian state. I urge the government to do all it can to bring the individuals concerned to justice
Third Russian accused by UK police of involvement in 2018 attack on former double agent Sergei Skripal and his daughter Yulia in Salisbury, which left three people critically ill and one dead
“What must be of key concern to us is the message this sends around the world to those who would do the West harm”
My contribution on the situation in Afghanistan, its future and implications for the world:
Many congratulations to Maidenhead’s @tomdean00 on his #Tokyo2020 gold medal win. Tom has done his community and country very proud #TeamGB
I was proud to lead the UK to be the first major economy to legislate for #netzero. But legislation alone won't reverse the decline in our natural environment
I’m now joining @AldersgateGrp as their Chair - to help business achieve these ambitions & champion the green revolution
So proud of our @England #ThreeLions team.
Tonight wasn’t our night. But throughout this hard-fought #EURO2020 tournament, you have lifted the spirits of millions.
Your talent, commitment to one another & dedication to our country has been inspirational. 🏴
Today my thoughts are with all those who lost their lives at Grenfell Tower and their loved ones who live with their loss every day. Their suffering is made all the harder by the shocking evidence emerging from the Grenfell Tower Inquiry. Their dignity is remarkable.
Will Boris Johnson review the law following collapse of recent Hillsborough trial? asks former PM Theresa May
PM says families of victims have shown "tremendous courage and determination" and he will "certainly be looking at the case"
For three decades the Hillsborough families have fought for justice. For three decades they have shown such dignity and resolve. With the collapse of this trial, they will feel the system has let them down again. My heart goes out to them today.
⏱ It's time to vote.
🔵 Vote Conservative to help us deliver on the people's priorities.
"Perhaps the most important aspect of his life was his absolute commitment to supporting Her Majesty the Queen."
Former PM Theresa May says the Duke of Edinburgh "put his life to ensuring the success of his wife" in a tribute to Prince Philp.
All my thoughts and prayers are with Her Majesty and the whole Royal Family today on the loss of a devoted husband, father, grandfather & great grandfather (1/2)
So saddened to hear that my good friend Dame Cheryl Gillan has passed away. A warm, thoughtful & kindhearted person who was an outstanding advocate for her constituents. She will be greatly missed.
I welcome the joint statement on establishing a treaty to help us tackle future pandemics more effectively.
We can only solve the world's most intractable problems by working together, strengthening our shared institutions & renewing the bonds of international community.
🇬🇧🇫🇷🇩🇪 In a letter in today's @Telegraph, @BorisJohnson, @EmmanuelMacron and Angela Merkel said the pandemic was "a stark and painful reminder that nobody is safe until everyone is safe"
I just had my first Covid-19 jab. It is safe, effective & painless.
When it’s your turn, please #TakeTheVaccine. Only by protecting each other can we defeat this virus.
Thanks to all the brilliant researchers, volunteers, NHS & military personnel for their truly heroic efforts.
On #HolocaustMemorialDay, the world pauses to remember those who were murdered simply for who they were.
We must never forget the importance of standing against prejudice and division to ensure that such human suffering is never permitted again.
After yesterday's disturbing scenes at the Capitol, I welcome that Congress has certified @JoeBiden as the next President. The orderly transition of power is a hallmark of a mature democracy. There is no place for the rule of the mob.
Very welcome news that the UK & EU have reached agreement on the terms of a deal - one that provides confidence to business and helps keep trade flowing. Looking forward to seeing the detail in the coming days.
Great to discuss all things #G7 with aspiring G7 Youth Summit applicants this evening. The "Y7" is an opportunity for young people to play their part at the highest level of international decision making. Thanks to @UKFutureLeaders for their work in inspiring the next generation.
Since insulin was discovered in 1921, millions of lives have been saved. But the number of people diagnosed with type 1 diabetes is on the rise. This #WorldDiabetesDay please join me in supporting @JDRFUK to find the next historic breakthrough.
At the going down of the sun, and in the morning, we will remember them.
Congratulations @JoeBiden and @KamalaHarris. Your election marks a new chapter in the history of your country and in the special partnership between our two nations. The UK & US will always work together to defend our shared values.
We will soon know who will be the next US President. But, sadly, today also marks the US leaving the Paris accord — the world’s foremost attempt to build consensus on climate change. Whoever is elected has an immense responsibility to help tackle our planet’s greatest challenge.
It was a pleasure to meet President Moon Jae-in again in Korea 🇰🇷 to discuss the shared aspirations of our two countries, including on trade, climate change and regional stability.
Deeply alarming that Novichok has again been used in an attempt to silence critics of the Russian state.
The use of chemical weapons is illegal and barbaric.
The international community must ensure that those who undermine our rules-based system cannot act with impunity.
Those affected by the Primodos scandal were ignored for decades but held fast to their campaign. That takes immense courage and it’s right that finally their voices have been heard. It’s also right that Govt has apologised and is considering the Cumberlege Review recommendations
Primodos - packed with hormones - was given to women in the 1960s and 1970s. There has been a 40-year campaign for recognition of its potential dangers.
📺 Watch Bitter Pill: Primodos, on Sky Documentaries at 9pm tonight
"If you're a victim of domestic abuse, work is your safe place and being at home is not"
Former Prime Minister @theresa_may tells #bbcwato and says "employers need to think about that"
https://bbc.in/2Djhepm | @Sarah_Montague
The Domestic Abuse Bill will be a big step forward but it’s essential we seize the opportunity to go even further. I’ve co-authored a paper on the importance of maintaining the Govt’s awareness campaign and the further domestic abuse interventions needed https://static1.squarespace.com/static/5cd83ed84d871178f0307100/t/5f06e081c3e1f57f7cf34976/1594286210475/Seize+the+Moment+to+End+Domestic+Abuse.pdf
Today we remember all those who lost their lives at Grenfell Tower. My thoughts are with the bereaved & survivors who fight, day in, day out, to ensure such a tragedy never happens again. We, in Parliament, must do all we can to help them. Their loved ones must not be forgotten
Today marks 3 years since the terror attack at Manchester Arena - a despicable act of hatred which targeted the youngest in our society. My thoughts and prayers are with the victims, their loved ones and all who were affected that night.
Today marks the start of #MentalHealthAwarenessWeek. Now more than ever, it’s important to look after our mental wellbeing just as much as our physical health.
