Celebrating our Armed Forces today. Thank you to all who serve.
Our farms are incredibly important giving us food security and excellent locally sourced produce. That is one of the reasons why I serve on the @CommonsEFRA Committee and why I asked what more can be done to help farmers yesterday.
Today, I will table legislation that will give employers the freedom to recruit skilled, temporary staff to plug vital roles during strike action.
This new law will help protect the British public from future disruption caused by militant trade unions👇🏿

The strikes today are wrong and unnecessary.
Good to meet with South West representatives from the @NFUPolitical in Parliament today. Farming is incredibly important in South East Cornwall and I will continue to raise concerns both in my @CommonsEFRA role and in @UKParliament.
Fantastic to listen to the Voices of Armed Forces Children Choir @voafcc in @UKParliament today at a service hosted by @CommonsSpeaker Sir Lindsay Hoyle to raise an Armed Forces Day Flag in New Palace Yard.
Next week there will be train strikes across the country meaning no services in Cornwall on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday. These strikes are supported by the Labour Party, despite the disruption and misery they will bring for many.

Thank you my friend President @ZelenskyyUa for hosting me in Ukraine yesterday.
It was incredibly moving to walk the streets of Kyiv with you once more, to pay tribute to your fallen soldiers whose sacrifice, unconquerable courage and bravery we will never forget.
Mr President, Volodymyr,
It is good to be in Kyiv again.
So there is a lot of rubbish being spouted about the PM’s trip to Ukriane. 1. Firstly these trips are organised in total secrecy. Very few, and i mean very few, people know the dates and arrangements. Russia is still launching missile strikes right across Ukriane . 1/5

By extending the right-to-buy scheme to housing associations, a further 2.5 million households will be eligible to purchase their own home.
We're reviewing access to mortgages so those in 'Generation Rent' can become 'Generation Buy'.

Alongside the action we’ve already taken this year today's measures will ensure:
The vast majority of households receive £550.
Pensioners receive £850.
And almost all of the eight million most vulnerable households will receive support of at least £1,200.

Great to join @networkrail at Lostwithiel today to learn about final plans for the installation of the much needed footbridge. Great to join Cllr Philip Desmonde, transport Portfolio holder at @CornwallCouncil and Tim Hughes who first raised this with me.
Since meeting Tim Hughes & @sheryllmurray a few years ago, it's been my personal mission to get a bridge at Lostwithiel.
One of my proudest days on the railway that NR, DfT & Cornwall Council are making it a reality.
This is so much more than just a bridge for the town. https://twitter.com/sheryllmurray/status/1527276245670428672
