RIP Dame Deborah. Her exceptional campaign to help those living with cancer won the whole nation’s admiration, and started important conversations about living with the β€˜big C’.

She leaves behind an incredible legacy, and my thoughts are with her loved ones.

I’m terribly saddened to hear that Dame Deborah James has died. What an inspiration she was to so many.

The awareness she brought to bowel cancer and the research her campaigning has funded will be her enduring legacy.

Because of her, many many lives will be saved.

Great to hear an enthusiastic Minister promoting learning of foreign languages as @WalkerWorcester does - including of Arabic, a language spoken by around 500 million people. He rightly wants more pupils to learn languages

Tonight the PM has secured a fresh mandate from the parliamentary party.

Now we need to unite and focus on the country’s challenges. Boosting economic growth, tackling the Covid backlogs, protecting our national security, and so much more.

People do not vote for divided teams. We are strongest when we are united and focused on delivey for the British people. The PM has got the big calls right: be it on Brexit, vaccines or leading us out of the pandemic. We must get behind him & deliver on our promise to level up.

The PM has won the confidence vote and now it’s time to move forward.

Tomorrow we get back to work growing the economy and delivering better public services.

Huge thanks to Schools Minister, @WalkerWorcester, for meeting with our members this evening at Parliament, & answering questions about the future of schools policy.
