Very proud to show @nadhimzahawi round our school and introduce him to our fabulous children. Plasticine pancakes in EYFS, mosaics with @ArtizanInt, hearing from our passionate @NSATgreen next-gen board and a visit to the @ResurrectedBite grocery topped off a busy afternoon!

Even before construction began, locals have seen new bars and restaurants open in the town anticipating the thousands of visitors that will flock to the theatre.

A truly extraordinary ripple effect that demonstrates the power that culture has to level up our towns.

The energy around Shakespeare North Playhouse is electric. This amazing new arts venue is about to spring into life — marking a pivotal moment in the regeneration of Prescot town centre.

Great to have @nadhimzahawi at our group dinner tonight. Nadhim begins by thanking councillors and councils for their key role in the vaccine rollout success.

Great visiting Flourish at the Farm who are collaborating with schools across SoA 💙

Their work is an excellent example of alternative provision; balancing academic learning and practical skills while developing enduring relationships between staff, pupils, parents, and peers 🙌🏽

Today I'm in Paris to learn more about the early years sector in France. I had a great start to the day with British Ambassador @MennaRawlings where we discussed the importance of supporting parents and children. @UKinFrance 🇬🇧🇫🇷👇🏽

We loved hosting Education Secretary @nadhimzahawi when he visited NSAT school @NewParkPri this afternoon - and our pupils thought it was pretty cool too! Thanks @educationgovuk for coming. @CSTvoice @ForumStrategyUK @StarbeckPrimary @HarrogateHigh @WillowPrimary @HookstoneChase

I’ve just visited @NewParkPri in Harrogate - they have had an incredible transformation thanks to the strong family of schools it has joined and the great leadership helping every child fulfil their potential 🏫

Earlier I visited Crèche Visconti and Saint-Benoit pre-primary school to learn more about the French early education system from staff, members of the education inspectorate and the local municipality @ukinfrance 🇬🇧🇫🇷

(1/4) We need to do some mythbusting about the false claims that Government's quality proposals are behind Eng Lit course changes at @SheffieldHallam

This is fake news. The English courses at Hallam have outcome metrics well above the proposed minimums.

IT'S BACK: @TheRSC outdoor theatre space The Dell will once again play host to a range of lively student, community and semi-professional productions.

I am deeply saddened to hear that @bowelbabe has passed away. She was a truly inspirational human being and my thoughts are with her family and friends. She will be missed by so many but she achieved so much - not least reminding us all how precious life is.

(1/3) Humanities matter. As a history graduate myself, I know of their potential to open minds and transform lives.
The English courses at @SheffieldHallam have positive outcomes that are well above the OfS's proposed minimum thresholds.

Brian McBride, the newly elected President of @CBItweets, has joined the CBI's mission to seize the opportunities of growth. But how will his background in digital and tech shape his priorities? Tonight @HouseofCommons has backed the NI Protocol Bill.

It provides practical solutions to problems caused by the Protocol and protects the Belfast (Good Friday) Agreement.

While a negotiated outcome remains our preference - the EU must accept changes to the Protocol itself.

Happy Monday and welcome to another week in Shakespeare's England!
