Delighted to welcome the Levelling Up Secretary @michaelgove to our stand at #LGAConf22 & grateful for his support for #woods & #trees. @WoodlandTrust 🌳

Pleased to hear @michaelgove praise @lginform, our data tool, this afternoon. Remember, if you don't know about it, come and find one of the team on the #InnovationZone for a personal demo this week. #localgov #data #LGAConf22

Really heartened by the ongoing enthusiasm for & interest in trees at #LGAConf22. Come down to Stand Q62 to learn what #trees and #woods can do for your area. @WoodlandTrust 🌳

Aston Villa’s plans for Villa Park are truly transformational and align with our vision for Witton and the local transport network ✅

With new venues for the local community & fans all year round, I’m looking forward to working with the club to turn this vision into reality 📈

Just in: Housing sec @michaelgove has written an open letter to freeholders and managing agents, warning them that they could face prison terms if they continue to send huge remediation bills to leaseholders after the Building Safety Act comes into force tomorrow👇

‘It’s a matter of social justice... We’re never going to have enough housing being built that this country needs, unless we have social housing being built alongside private homes.’

Secretary of State for Levelling Up @michaelgove speaks to GB News about social housing.

After yesterday's roundtable in Aberdeen, I hosted a Treasury Connect at the Net Zero Technology Centre @netzero_tc where I met with staff members and answered their questions on key issues including the cost of living, jobs and the future of the UK energy sector.

Larkin and Owen are two of our finest poets. Removing their work from the curriculum is cultural vandalism.

Their work must be passed on to future generations - as it was to me. I will be speaking to the exam board to make this clear.

Met @NikkiHaley to talk about the importance of ensuring Putin loses in Ukraine and standing up to aggressors and authoritarians around the world in defence of freedom and liberty 🇬🇧 🇺🇸

What is your favourite simple building?

Here’s one of ours: John Soane’s stable block at the Royal Hospital, Chelsea. Was ever so much achieved with so little?

I have written to @HousingPlusGrp following severe maladministration findings against them. Their treatment of the tenant in this case was completely unacceptable. I am putting social landlords on notice - you must improve standards and treatment of tenants or face consequences.

Queen of Our Times now not only in the Presidential Office in Kyiv but back in the charts. Will be at Chalke Valley History Festival this wknd, as will a man exiled by the Russians: King Simeon of the Bulgarians @CVHISTORYFEST @ZelenskyyUa @simonmontefiore @panmacmillan

This is great. Government getting on and tackling issues which affect millions of people: rogue landlords, unfit homes, unfair evictions, prejudice against the most vulnerable. Vast majority of landlords - who are given a bad name by minority - will cheer.

Hottest day of the year so far.

Am I at the beach?

Nope!

Hosting Conservative Council Group Leaders from across the Country for a full day of activity - including really useful workshops with senior Ministers.

No rest for the wicked! 🥵 😂

Lovely evening in Wakefield with a great team of @Young_Tories @Conservatives to support @cllrnadeemahmed as he works for every vote. Wakefield born and bred, Nadheem will be a strong local voice.

Great to join @mark4dewsbury @maggie_erewash @JasonMcCartney & @michaelgove

This white paper offers a glimpse of how the rules could finally be balanced to bring fairness for the million of people who rent - well done @EddieHughes4WN and @michaelgove - now let’s get the Bill into law! https://www.theguardian.com/money/2022/jun/15/white-paper-to-tackle-unfair-evictions-and-bad-landlords-in-england?CMP=Share_iOSApp_Other

A positive package of measures for renters from @luhc @michaelgove + @EddieHughes4WN - incl. an end to evictions without reason; flexibility for renters with periodic tenancies; and action on unsafe homes. Waiting for the detail.... and looking forward to it! https://twitter.com/genrentuk/status/1537368952086712321

Generation Rent @genrentuk

If you want to find out more about what will be in today's White Paper then make sure to read @luhc's press release: https://www.gov.uk/government/news/new-deal-for-private-renters-published-today

Incredible news from government! Today’s White Paper from @michaelgove - if legislated in full - is a once-in-a-generation reform of private renting that will remove some of the leading causes of homelessness in this country. Brilliant.

The Labour leader just told the PM that a Tory MP called him the “Conservative Corbyn”.
Wait till he finds out about this guy called Keir Starmer who said: “I’m 100 per cent behind Jeremy Corbyn. I am working with Jeremy Corbyn to try to win the next general election”

Inspiring meeting with wonderful Wiltshire hosts and their Ukrainian guests. Some official processes still need improvement, but I'm v proud of our community, the council and the government for making this scheme so successful https://www.gazetteandherald.co.uk/news/20210886.danny-kruger-mp-hosts-meeting-nearly-100-ukrainian-refugees/?ref=twtrec

Today’s Memorial Service in Westminster Abbey to mark the 5th Anniversary of the Grenfell Tower Tragedy was profoundly moving. Those who died will be forever in our hearts and we must secure justice for their memory

Today marks five years since the Grenfell Tower fire took the lives of 72 people.

My thoughts are with the survivors, those who lost loved ones and the wider community.

Thank you to @michaelgove for speaking at the No Time To Wait parliamentary reception to discuss the importance of mental health as part of the well being agenda. It’s vital we have mental health nurses in GP surgeries to ensure early intervention. #NoTimeToWait

Today is World Oceans Day. Take a deep breath and join me underwater for a moment, surrounded by beautiful coral and fish. And then ask yourself the most important question of all...

#WorldOceansDay

We need to come together as a party and focus on what this government is doing to help people with the cost of living, to clear the COVID backlogs and to make our streets safer.

We will continue to unite, level up and strengthen our economy.

In the interests of what I feel is best for Wolverhampton I will be supporting the Prime Minister this evening. My Facebook page gives further detail.

The PM has secured the support of Conservative MPs - now we must carry out what we were elected to deliver - levelling up, cutting crime, securing the benefits of Brexit and improving public services. Let’s get on with delivery and focus on the people’s priorities
