Great news Chancellor announces Freeport status for Humber ports. More investment and jobs coming to this area and more Government funding for renewables and port infrastructure

Just come out of meeting with Health Secretary after his announcement that Tier 3 restrictions continue. An opportunity to talk about testing, vaccinations & extra support for our area

Having spent last couple of days being briefed by ministers & local health chiefs I will support the tier system. The approach is sensible. It's a blow for many local businesses but we've got to squeeze out the virus. Better a few extra weeks of restrictions than prolonging agony

I am delighted that the #freeport bidding process opens in England today. The Government has responded to the key concerns that the APPG has heard from industry and I have every confidence that many strong bids will be submitted.

I'm delighted to have been appointed as the Prime Minister's Trade envoy to the Western Balkans and to play a part in building trade links between the UK, Albania, Bosnia & Herzegovina, Kosovo, Montenegro, North Macedonia, and Serbia

Congratulations dear @MartinVickers for being appointed Prime Minister’s #TradeEnvoy to the Western Balkans. North Macedonia looks forward to continue working closely with you both as Chair of #APPG for 🇲🇰 in the UK Parliament & in your new role on 🇲🇰 🇬🇧 trade relations.

Today the Prime Minister has appointed 15 new UK Trade Envoys. They will support the UK’s economic recovery and help businesses take advantage of the opportunities arising from our new trading relationships.

Thank you to @MartinVickers MP for Cleethorpes for visiting Today's Extra Fiveways Store with Nick Ramsden MD Ramsden Group and Lisa Flear, HR Director Ramsden Group, to talk about the work local shops have been doing to feed their communities throughout the Covid-19 crisis

An honour to meet with @USAmbUK this morning with colleagues, including @MartinVickers and @neil_parish. We discussed the importance of free trade to boost economies post-Covid.

Boris Johnson is absolutely right to demonstrate that we are a sovereign nation and will do all that is necessary to protect the UK's interests. He deserves our full support for delivering the Brexit that the country voted for.

Along with Grimsby colleague Lia Nici I had an excellent meeting with fishing industry reps ahead of next Tuesday"s parliamentary debate on the Fisheries Bill

Advice to Government is children don't need to wear masks but if schools want their pupils to wear them they can. Why are we even discussing it?

Reports that I will be at today's Black Lives Matter protest in Cleethorpes are wrong No MP councillor or official representative should be there. Under coronavirus restrictions there should be no gatherings of 6+. We want to restrict infection Please stay away & stop the spread

Watch this, it's a fantastic. Some highlights of our great county and the rural community.

Please support the Lincolnshire Rural Support Network

I've said many times Cleethorpes is the Premier resort on the east coast I can understand why you would want to visit but leave it for another day
There are many elderly & vulnerable who are concerned about an influx of visitors
Just because you can come, doesn't mean you should

Pleased PM's msg was one of caution but allows people to use their common sense as we, very slightly and in stages ease lockdown. Full guidance published tomorrow.

Virtual meeting with Trade Secretary this morning gave opportunity to make sure seafood sector included in trade talks with U.S. Positive response from negotiating team. Great opportunity to increase exports and create more local jobs

I usually attend Workers' Memorial Day in Immingham or Cleethorpes. Very different this year but all our thoughts are with those who have lost their lives at work. This year more than any other we must remember them

Good to see PM back in No.10. He is right to be cautious about easing lockdown. We mustn't risk losing the progress made so far.

Excellent virtual meeting with business leaders organised by Chamber of Commerce. It's important we support business through crisis and move cautiously towards easing lockdown

Why are the BBC not obeying Govt guidance. It's 10 on Sat night & yet reporter stood outside an empty Parliament to tell us what he could say from home?

Based in Grimsby at mo and today a day of scrutiny & briefing on @Humberbeat response and plans with @Keithhunter50 @HumbersidePCC

Just finished weekly video call with @EmmaHardyMP @DianaJohnsonMP @lia_nici @MartinVickers & Holly Mumby-Croft MP re local issues and policing.

A great opportunity for our graduates Hollie & Cameron sharing how the Humber Refinery is #FuellingtheFuture further developing its markets with electric vehicles, smart phones and by processing used cooking oil with @KwasiKwarteng @MartinVickers & @lia_nici

Parliament has again let the people down as the Remainers force another delay. Boris has delivered a deal all Brexiteers should support People are more angry & frustrated than ever

How much money has been wasted on Parliament sitting whilst serving no useful purpose? No serious proposals have come from the Remainers.| Martin Vickers

Today's decision confirms PM's determination to deliver referendum result & overcome resistance from Remainers. Well done Boris

Was great to join Hon. Friend and colleague, @MartinVickers, in his constituency of Cleethorpes this weekend, where I spoke at his Association Supper Club. Thanks to Martin, Association Chairman, Peter Sutherland and Council Leader, Philip Jackson for making me feel so welcome

Really good meeting yesterday evening with @michaelgove @MartinVickers @NicDakinMP @EmmaHardyMP & @UniOfHull to discuss our proposals to develop a National Centre for Flood Resilience in the @HumbersideFire area.

1/2 There are two transport-related debates at the House of Commons today.

At 1pm @MartinVickers is leading a debate in Westminster Hall on the closure of Suggitt’s Lane level crossing in Cleethorpes.

You can watch this live here:

Good meeting with Transport Secretary Chris Grayling about Suggitt's Lane level crossing.
Secured parliamentary debate on 4 June as part of campaign to keep crossing open

I compromised & supported 2nd & 3rd votes but today PM went too far & I can't support latest proposals. Time for the Cabinet to act

I'm receiving reports that Network Rail are erecting permanent fences at Suggitt's Lane Outrageous action before talks with Council & others
