We enjoyed welcoming @Mark_Spencer to @DukeriesAcademy this morning. #changemakers Moses, Isaac and Maisie were a real credit to our Academy as they discussed their #ambition for the future and the needs of young people in our community. #integrity #excellence

A clear win for the PM tonight. Now time to get on with the job, tackle the fight against global inflation, level up and invest in our communities and work to protect the security of Europe

On Monday, Leader of the House @Mark_Spencer visited @SchWoodlands and saw the excellent work the School Council does for both their peers and the community.

Met investigation over, Sue Gray report delivered, its now clearly time to move on and deal with the huge global challenges the country faces. Iโ€™m squarely behind the PM, heโ€™s the right man for the job.
He has consistently made the big calls correctly

Every 15 mins someone is diagnosed with bowel cancer and sadly more than 16,500 people die from the disease each year in the UK. Thatโ€™s why I am supporting @bowelcanceruk in Westminster, raising awareness for #BowelCancerAwarnessMonth. Join me here

Last night the Commons approved a motion allowing multiple complaints to be made about the same individual - "a small step in the right direction" towards changing the culture in Westminster.

Today I joined @CllrCook in Lavender Ward, Wandsworth to hear about the fantastic work the Conservative Council is doing to keep taxes low and residents happy.

Itโ€™s clear that only the @Conservatives can deliver a great deal for local people.

The PM has apologised and taken responsibility for what happened in Downing Street. He and the Chancellor are delivering a growing economy during global challenges and delivering on the international security crisis we face. They have my whole support

Sheโ€™s not the first person to get a kicking in this place but probably the first to get one internally @Mark_Spencer tells pregnant MP @Siobhan_Baillie

At business Qs later today MPs will have the chance to ask the Leader of the House for debates or statements on any topic they like. But as @Siobhan_Baillie pointed out last week, the questions asked by ten-year-olds are much trickier...

The Leader of the House of Commons was delighted to meet Rt Hon. Nelly Butete Kashumba Mutti MP, Speaker of the Zambian Parliament, last week.

They spoke about the parallels between the two parliaments and learned more about their roles.

In his first TV interview with @bbcemt as @CommonsLeader @Mark_Spencer answers questions on standards, honour in politics and whether he has been rewarded by the PM for loyalty. (the in and out trays on his desk are empty as he is still moving in)

To ensure other Whips are not drawn into this matter, I am identifying myself as the person Nusrat Ghani MP has made claims about this evening.

These accusations are completely false and I consider them to be defamatory. I have never used those words attributed to me

Just reflecting on the by-election. Worth sharing below if youโ€™re looking for a charity to support this Christmas

At a Business Breakfast this morning with @Mark_Spencer and local business leaders, to talk about national and local policy. Always enlightening... Grateful to Mark for inviting me along to talk about our plans for infrastructure and job creation across North Notts ๐Ÿ‘

Mixed feelings to see Nick Brown leave his position as opposition CW. A formidable political opponent but a Gentleman as well.
Someone I have enormous respect for. Big shoes to fill

Very sorry to hear HRH Duke of Edinburgh has passed away.
A very long life dedicated to public service, and great support to HM the Queen

In a rare move a councillor has been formally censured for verbally abusing the leader of Nottinghamshire County Council during meetings. Itโ€™s been called a serious and repeated breach of a code of conduct. 1/4

I want to thank farmers for keeping the UK fed throughout the pandemic.

You do incredible work, all day, in all weathers.

My full message to the @NFUtweets Conference #NFU21:

He wanted to stay in the European Medicines Agency and said so....

Starmer: โ€œIโ€™ve never said thatโ€ ๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”๐Ÿค”

Amnesia or just plain fibbing, watch and decide๐Ÿ‘‡

Catch up with this on @bbcemt on the @BBCiPlayer including @Mark_Spencer who says itโ€™s important elections go ahead in May and @JZadrozny who says they may challenge the fines

Covid-19: Ashfield councillors fined for 'canvassing' breach

In early December last year the country was in paralysis. Now @BorisJohnson has got #Brexit done, as promised in the General Election. This agreement reaffirms the #sovereignty of the United Kingdom.

NEW: quick chart showing key context for todayโ€™s news of a Tier 4 Christmas

Cases are soaring in areas set to go into T4, with rate of increase extremely worrying. Testing has increased lately too, but even if we look at positivity, the rate of increase is very steep.

Are you a female farmer or living on a farm?

Full-time mum and farmerโ€™s wife, @MillyFyfe has created a new online community #HomeOnTheFarm to connect females in agriculture.

Listen to her story:

All of us should be concerned about what has happened in the Labour Party in recent years. And todayโ€™s EHRC report underlines that. There are still important questions for Keir Starmer and so I have written to him seeking answers.

When will Labour stop playing politics?

Following today's interviews with Andy Burnham and Rachel Reeves on Marr, I wrote with colleagues to the Mayor to make it clear we cannot and do not support a policy of endless total lockdowns as a way to tackle the alarming rise in COVID-19 cases.

Today I was in Dover to see how Border Force and other operational partners are tirelessly dealing with the unacceptable number of illegal small boat crossings.

I am absolutely committed to making this incredibly dangerous route unviable.
