Congratulations on all your efforts and good luck for when the results come in!
Well done to all those who helped make sure exams went ahead for the first time since the pandemic 🙌🏽
I want to wish students the best of luck with their results and thank teachers and support staff for getting their learning back on track. https://twitter.com/educationgovuk/status/1541811390893236224
It is heartening to see 4 community projects in Bury St Edmunds benefit from £463,508 of funding from @TNLComFund. These groups are fantastic in the great work and support they provide to local people and their community through what have been some extremely challenging times.
Fascinating visit at @INFARM_Global to discover the reality of delivering fresh food to the customers from the urban environment. A new way of farming to complement traditional agriculture: using data-driven ag and science for nutritious and sustainable crops.
Today @INFARM_Global launched one of the largest European urban farms in #Bedford, UK, spreading over 10,000 sqm. The opening ceremony included addresses from @Jochurchill_MP, @YasinForBedford, and Erez Galonska, CEO and co-founder of Infarm https://tinyurl.com/msfnvcxz
Great initiative to tackle crime hotspots in Suffolk - now to be copied by others - well done @SuffolkPolice @TimSPCC
The policing minister said more officers on the streets will help Suffolk face its crime challenges as the government looks to get tough on county lines drug dealing and knife crime. https://www.eadt.co.uk/news/crime/policing-minister-kit-malthouse-visits-ipswich-9094288
This #ArmedForcesDay 🇬🇧 I want to pay tribute to the remarkable service of personnel, past and present. They are always first to step up in times of need. Thank you for all you do.
This week I'm proud to support #CervicalScreeningAwarenessWeek. Cervical screening (smear tests) can save lives, but 1 in 3 do not attend when invited. Follow @JoTrust to learn more about the test and where you can find support.
Fantastic news for science and patients 💉
Our new partnership with @moderna_tx will help NHS patients access cutting-edge vaccines and treatments.

Grateful to Energy Minister @GregHands, for listening to me and colleagues from across the region raising concerns about East Anglia GREEN proposals and the consultation.
Good to meet Energy Minister @GregHands last night with my #OffSET colleagues from Essex, Suffolk & Norfolk. We continue to express our concerns about @NationalGrid’s East Anglia GREEN consultation.
Damson & Wilde welcome to Bury!
Great to see another new #hospitality #business open in the town centre on Abbeygate Street🥙 🍸
These costly strikes hurt individuals and the economy. On Saturday morning, I spoke to a local gentleman unable to make a job interview this week because of these strikes - one of the many to be affected alongside students, key workers and other commuters. 🚆
Today is the first day of the #RailStrike which will see services disrupted across Suffolk and beyond
Happy Suffolk Day
It was great to join @NFFNUK and Chair @LinesMartin to hear the latest nature-friendly thinking around the future of food and farming in the UK. Innovation in farming is crucial to tackle the challenges of the future. 🌾 🚜
Positive Saturday so far; great response from local residents while out with @Jochurchill_MP & @johnfrombse in Bury St Edmunds this morning, followed by a brilliant visit this afternoon to the Stowmaket Eco Future event @FoodMuseumUK

Lovely to talk to @thebedfed and wider mattress industry today, about how we can reduce the environmental footprint of mattresses. Some great work underway but lots still to do #CircularEconomy.

I started this great project with @SHSHeadteacher & others at the back end of 2020. We have since worked with @MidSuffolk to get to the point we are at today with these exciting plans which will offer sport, community, education & wellbeing aspects in the heart of Stowmarket.
Plans for a major new sports hub in Stowmarket are expected to take a step forward next month. https://www.eadt.co.uk/news/local-council/new-sports-facilities-for-stowmarket-8996840
Alongside the action we’ve already taken this year today's measures will ensure:
The vast majority of households receive £550.
Pensioners receive £850.
And almost all of the eight million most vulnerable households will receive support of at least £1,200.
I am really excited to see the Genetic Technology Bill being introduced in Parliament today. This Bill will enable precision breeding technologies to improve the sustainability, resilience, and productivity of agricultural systems.
Today, I called-in the acquisition of Newport Wafer Fab by Nexperia, a subsidiary of a Chinese company.
There will now be a full assessment under the new National Security and Investment Act.

Fully support @TheatreRoyalBSE bid to become an @ace__london National Portfolio Organisation- it would be an excellent addition to the wonderful offering of theatres in their portfolio across the country and worthy of the investment!
